Fun fact: singer Ian Dury played the tattoo shop owner Noah. He said, "We're closed for the night," before the bad guy took him out. He also played junk shop owner Geiger in _Judge Dredd_ the year before. He said, "We're closed for the night," before Rico took him out.
He was also in Split Second as a bar owner. That's a fun film.

I remember. It's a good movie, I like Rutger Hauer. The one difference with Dury's performance in _Split Second_ is he didn't say, "We're closed for the night," and get killed soon after. It's a peculiar typecasting for him in _The Crow 2_ and _Judge Dredd._
I heard that in one of the original scripts Sarah would be the next Crow
stairway to heaven or salvation would have made lots of money in theaters but they never got a chance because mark was great as Eric but it was a TV movie and show then way later from dusk till dawn did the exact same thing they did a remake of the from dusk till dawn movie then the show starts immediately after the TV movie of the movie with the show cast to start things off
Great Job Matt, I couldn't get into Crow 2, cause I thought the action was Lackluster, Very Boring, but I thought Vincent Perez was Fine, but I thought he Lacked Charisma IMO, Iggy Pop did a Good Job as the Villain though, Thomas Jane was Wasted IMO, but I thought Thomas Jane would have been A Lot Better then Perez as The Crow, cause Thomas Jane was Great as The Punisher in Punisher 2004, Dreamcatcher, The Mist, Mutant Chronicles, Standoff 2016, I liked him in his Supporting Roles in USS Indianapolis, Thin Red Line, Face Off, & Pawn Shop Chronicles, Very Charismatic, Talented & Underrated Actor IMO❤
In the comic Eric blows up the loft and the whole building Edward furlong blew up the trailer Eric blew up a building in salvation mark blew up a building in the tv universe it’s a theme of the crow universe
I would like to see you do one of these for the stair way to heaven movie because it’s actually really good and it ends at the kitchen scene with darla and Sarah
You did another very fantastic job sharing your feelings on this sequel bro I can't defend this film I don't mind the first half of the film but the ending battle between both Ashe and Juda Earl is very lackluster your 100% right the ''Sarah'' character really didn't need to be in this sequel at all plus ''The Crow'' never needed a sequel in the first place either no matter how much money it made I'm very happy to hear that the remake release has been pushed back from June to August my guess is since ''Boy Kills World'' bombed so badly Lionsgate realized that Bill Skarsgård isn't a good leading man in films like those.
City of angels is terrible, only good things about it were Iggy pop and the soundtrack. As for the remake, how about they cancel that film instead like WB did with Batgirl instead of delaying it for “2 months”

3:22 It's a very flawed film indeed I actually never minded the theatrical cut I never ever cared the ''Director's Cut'' at all or that special ''Fan Cut'' that some fans of this sequel a fan or fans made using some clips from the workprint and some production still photos along with parts of the script showing with comicbook bubbles to help fill in gaps of stuff that was cut out of both released cuts of this sequel it was on yotube at one point not sure if still is maybe someone will request that one for you sometime?

I thought it was alright, it needed to be more different from the first movie and maybe a better lead actor. It was too similar to the first one. I don't think the face paint was necessary, I didn't feel an emotional impact in the film (granted I didn't feel it in the original but City of Angels had a chance to make things more heart felt). Hell they could've made it more comedic lol.
This film needed more energy and better action, The Crow: Salvation (my favorite one) had some decent action. Each Crow movie needed to be unique to separate themselves from the original.
Still down to see the original cut of this. There are unreleased cuts of films that likely still suck, Fant4stic and Rise of Skywalker are examples of the unfixable for me.
For City of Angels, from everything I know about that original cut, the film is likely just ok. Either way Weinstein defintiely made the film worse than it could've been already. It's not like Fanboys where the film we got is still good fun, no the theatrical cut sucked. Though I do like Thomas Jane and Thuy Trang (RIP) in the movie.

I think this movie is the only one of the sequels that comes the closest to what the original movie is. Despite all the butchering they did to it I think it is very entertaining. It earns extra points for me for the score, Graeme Revell knocked it out of the park
I always like watching Edward furlong and angle fighting then it cuts off the fight to show Tara Reid and I’m like she is sexy as hell but still wtf

What more can be said about this film that hasn’t already been said. It sucks, the first crow is the only one worth a shit.
the irony is they dubbed van damme in certain recent movies hes done but they couldnt dub vincent perez?lol i admit i did enjoy this movie when i first saw it and i still have the dvd but yea brandon will always be the best version of the crow!

Nice job reviewing a film that to me personally still would have sucked even if the original cut did exist. It has too many issues for it to have worked period. It doesn't do enough to differentiate itself from the first film, it's too pretentious at times, and there are crippling flaws when it comes to key aspects of the script. For instance, Vincent Perez is awful as the lead. He can't act let alone carry the film. But I do admit that some of the direction isn't completely terrible, some songs on the OST are pretty good and Iggy Pop is a highlight. But so much else about this is like a bird with clipped wings. It doesn't fly.
I know I'm probably gonna make alot of people mad, but I Like The 1st Crow it's Ok I could enjoy it as a Timewaster, But I have Issues with the movie, cause wasn't that good IMO, except a couple good scenes, Plus I thought felt Slow At Times, Brandon Lee, Ernie Hudson, & Michael Wincott did a Good Job though, it's not a bad movie IMO, I can watch it cause of the Actors, I just found it be Pretty Overrated Film IMO, there's Way Better Revenge Films IMO Too like Punisher 2004, Punisher: War Zone, Death Wish Remake, Parker, The Beekeeper, Silent Night 2023, Last House On The Left Remake, Drive Angry, Death Sentence, John Wick 1, 2, & 3, Cold Pursuit, & I Spit On Your Grave Remake are Way Better Films IMO, I actually Liked Crow Salvation thats the Only Good Crow Standalone Film IMO, cause I Enjoyed the Action, Eric Mabius, Dale Midkiff, & Walton Goggins did a Good Job, I just don't love the movie cause I thought felt bit Slow At Times, Plus I don't Kirsten Dunst she's a Shitty Actress IMO, but I cam Enjoy it as a Fun Time Waster though
I like the original Crow but the boot licking that film gets is wild. Most of the revenge films you names I absolutely agree with. The Crow: Salvation is easily my favorite Crow film.
The Crow City of Angels Sucks but looks like a Masterpiece in comparison to the Remake we are getting this year. The Crow Salvation the 3rd movie is probably the only decent of the crappy Crow sequels.
Fun boy is in the comic and the Brandon lee movie they wrote fun boy to be iggy pop but he refused to do it said absolutely not I would not like fun boy that much in the Brandon movie it was iggy pop fun boy is really good in stairway to heaven stairway to heaven is my favorite fun boy of the 3 fun boys I wouldn’t like iggy as fun boy I’m glad he turned it down
Although I do Agree Matt That David S. Goyer has Said Sum Dumbass things in his Interviews At Comic Cons, & Plus I think he’s an Overrated Director/Writer IMO, I Still think he’s an Ok Writer/Director IMO, But Far from 1 of my favorite directors IMO, I Like a Good Chunk Of his Films, I Love Blade 1 & 3, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, Ghost Rider 2, & Man Of Steel are my Favorites Of his, I Like Death Warrant, Demonic Toys, Dark City, Blade 2, & Jumper are Ok but definitely my Least Favorites Of his, I don’t like Kickboxer 2, Crow 2, The Invisible, The Unborn, The Dark Knight Rises, Batman vs. Superman, & Terminator 6 Those are Bad Movies IMO
