- Thanks for watching !
Here is a small compilation of some of my last clips of miway D40LF’s, including some rides, walk arounds and takeoffs.
This video was a hard one to put together, it’s very sad to see these days come. Being born and raised in Mississauga, and living here my whole life, I’ve spent a lot of time on the new flyer D40LF’s. From a very young age, I was very fascinated by transit buses. The 03’s and 05’s dominated the miway fleet for years and years (more than half of my life) and never disappointed. Now that it’s October 2023, and they’re at the very end of their lives things have definitely changed. It’s gonna be hard to say goodbye to these things, as they’ve made my passion for buses grow more and more as I got older. Times when life took over and I thought I was losing interest in the hobby I’ve always loved, these things would bring me right back with a smile on my face. 20 years on the roads of Mississauga. Well served, wont be forgotten…at least by me and other transit fans alike. Enjoy! - Auta a dopravní prostředky
Wow these buses look great. Also this transit district is lucky because my D40’s retired 3 years ago😢
Very lucky. So far I’ve spent my life with these buses, as I’ve been a bus fan for as long as I can remember. I’m born and raised in the city of Mississauga and currently still live there to this day, it’s really not the same anymore…these buses were the backbone of the fleet for a really long time.
The 2005 MiWay has been my favorite buses to take on the 3 BLOOR during the Christmas holidays in 2019, 2022, and 2023. I will for sure miss those buses when they are completely gone but it was very fun to ride on them on 3 BLOOR from Square One to Islington now Kipling during the Christmas holidays. The 2005 MiWay did go from Square One to Islington for most of the years they were on the 3 BLOOR. When these buses ended their service at Islington it was during the COVID-19 pandemic and the City of Mississauga was the most dangerous place to be since it was home to the airport. I preferred to ride on the 2005 MiWay on the 3 BLOOR during the Christmas holidays since 2019 because it is much cheaper than going out of town for vacation since it can be very expensive to do it at this time of year and I will living in the City of Mississauga for college and for work.
This video is truly perfect, just listening to that beautiful ISL + Voith combo, this makes me cry.
I finished my model #0545 today, and this video truly goes to show how good the 03s & 05s will always be.
🫡 To the 2003s & 2005s. 🧡

Exquisite buses. Shame they will be gone forever soon.
At this point it seems every transit agency that has New Flyer D40s & D60s are retired or gonna be retired. Last time I went to Vancouver in November 2023 Translink had no D40s & D60s in sight anymore. I will always remember & love their iconic front, boxy look that came from their high floor counterparts
Very true, DRT In Durham Region only has 4 D40LFS Running out of the many they used to have.
We still got plenty of ours. 2005-08 models. They’re slowly retiring but it’s gonna take a few years for them to be fully phased out since we ordered over 1,000 of them.
I cant belive that there Retiring i remember my first time with these as i visted from CT i like the 03 and 05s i wish they couldve kept the 05s a little longer
If you read the description there’s a little explanation on why they’re important to me. It’s really sad their time is up, I’ll never forget about them.
I'm really sad to see these busses go I was gonna ask you can I use some of your old bosses for audio? for my channel I want to continue and keep the legacy alive
I'm gonna miss these
Same here
Nice thumbnail for the vid!
