So nice for Paula to have a trusted person to work on her wiring💜💜💜I wish I were closer, my cruise control has been out since the first time we had to jump the battery, my locks went funky. Then I had a new alternator installed and so now my doors lock when I’m not in it, the radio works when it’s “off” and the chimes ding in a series of 5 chimes -6 times every half hour. My passengers always check their seatbelts when it chimes😂😂😂
Badge to the rescue.you are so lucky to have him and his wife in your life.
Looks like a total remodel.
Looks like Badge really knows his stuff🙂
Paula, Elle and Badge are truly magic together. So much love!!!
I hope you left the flux converter installed Badge! She might need that later! 😆 Great idea putting in a kill switch. Steve
It's almost like you're starting over with the build I'm so glad that Badge and Ell are there to help you good luck Paula .
Few different schools of thought on ambo wiring. I gutted the antique solid controller panels, but left the wiring intact because they were all printed and numbered. I built a custom switch panel like we used in commerical boats, then repurposed the wires to go to individual circuits. All my active circuits are wired to the new panel, and whenever I want to add something 12 volt, I grab a wire nearby, read the name and number, and locate the other end near my control switches, voila, new circuit active. Badge, I didn't know the ignition wire trick, going to run that down. Keep up the Jedi magic👍⚡
love that giggle and seeing you having a blast
Paula your ambo is certainly a project of dedication and love. You are a brave girl to take on the task and thankfully you have Badge to help and guide you along the way. I look forward to seeing it all come together as your finished master piece. You go girl! xx
Thank you so much!
Badge is obviously a truck technician and a wealth of knowledge and experience that he is willing to share!!! Man what a treasure from the Coach!!!
Oh man, that’s a lot of work 😃 nice job guys 👍🏼
Thanks 👍
Thanks Badge. I've got to do the same someday. Helped a lot.
Great job guys. Thanks for showing us how to do this.
Our pleasure!
Oh wow that was alot of work yall did fantastic job guys 👍
13:12 Oh, jeez, for a second I thought this was a rerun of "The Creeping Hand".
"Badge, U R So cool! Most IMPORTANT part of this video: u have made such an AWESOME FRIEND!😍 Much luv to u! LUCRETIA
🤗
Wow, very nice 👌👏👍
The kill switch is a good idea. I just hope Badge told you where he put it.
Hope you got it put back together before you needed to leave for the meetup!
I'd suggest starting to use Arch Oil, at oil changes. It helps with sticktion on a 6.0
I do have arch oil on hand for the next oil change, and I found their fuel additive is amazing
👍🏼
Good job!
Thanks!
So when are you coming to Florida to do mine???!!!
Skydive? You’re gonna jump out of a perfectly good plane? I was asked to go skydiving with friends years ago I said no thanks. When they came back the girl that invited me had a cast on her leg from the hip down. She broke it in 3 places. Ouch 😓
nice 👍
Thanks
I would love to see exactly how they were disconnected and terminated. It looks very neatly done and I might have to leave some of mine in (I am not gutting the inside, just taking a few things out). One of the challenges will be how to run the wires for existing outlets and lights to my new solar system in one of the outside storage areas where there will be the new fuse boxes or bus bars as well as the new inverter, charge controller and all other solar components (I'll also have to figure out how to run wiring from roof fan, fridge, roof top AC etc to that box) Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!.
We just removed all old wiring and then wired what we needed separately. Removed all old lights too as they use too much power, and replaced with usb lights
I wired; solar panels to charge controller to battery to busbar to 12 volt appliance.
Theres alot of goodies on that there board.
You want them lol
@@Badgeweefixstuff ,yeah having an idea ,,hold it for me ,,,
Jim I’m heading to YYC in Aug. Which pieces can I bring you?
@@ExploringCanadaInfo hi Karen..where is yyc..will u be in the area...
Calgary. 👋🏼🇨🇦
What year is your Demers ambo? Mine is a 2012. Your electrical panel looks a lot more complex then mine. I’m wondering if mine is a newer model than yours with an updated electrical system. One of the commenters to this video mentions antique solid controller systems so that also leaves me wondering.
The ambo is a 2005 E450
@@VanVida thanks Paula, that info is very helpful. I’m currently working my way through your early videos. Just watched your introduction to working with angle grinders and hole cutting. I think Demers must have modernized their electrical panels between 2005 & 2012. When you return to Canada if you go through Calgary on your way back to SK, I’d like to buy you a coffee and take a look at your finished ambo. Next week my ambo goes to the body shop to be prepped before a complete Tyro coating
Great build!
Who's your friend helping with the build. Love to hire him with my ambulance
Does he do this as a job or just helping you?
Any information would be appreciated.
Good luck!
He is a personal friend who has helped me, I have several videos of him helping with the ambulance. his channel is www.youtube.com/@Badgeweefixstuff
