The dog argument was wrong though because dogs are still the same species as wolves, they are just under a different subspecies. Homo erectus is a whole different species. Animals of the same species can produce offspring that are fertile,which dogs/wolves can do, but humans wouldnât be able to produce fertile offspring with chimps or homo erectus or something

@@damienusen5007 no the opposite. The definition of a species is that the animals can reproduce with each other and their offspring are fertile. Horses and donkeys can produce mules but mules are always infertile (different species), but dogs and wolves can produce fertile offspring and so are the same species.
Subspecies are just a way to further categorize animals of the same species
Foxes are also more related to canines than felines

Really, just about anything would be better than picking Fox, who is obviously a fox, which are members of the dog family... on the cat team when the theme is dogs vs cats.

Actually Jordan was arguing that dogs = wolves lol Peter was the one saying that they were technically different due to speciation. And even then, the only reason he started arguing about it was because they asked him to (0:28), and before that you can hear Zack and Peter telling Jordan that Isabelle is more dog lol

As a huge sonic nerd from birth I must state that Sonic being unable to swim is like, one of his oldest traits. Like, from the 90s we knew he couldn't swim and is afraid of water.
Also to get even NERDIER, you can't even use the Olympic games series as an excuse because in those games they specifically give Sonic a life-vest because otherwise he would sink in the water. đ€

Actually, crocodiles share a common ancestor with dinosaurs (archosaurs) and also crocodiles are actually more closely related to some birds than other lizards. So yeah, kinda like dinosaurs

Peter is wrong about the dog/wolf debate. They are considered to be of the same species because they are able to produce fertile offspring. Consider it like how dogs of different breeds can all reproduce with each other despite looking completely different. So while they have different characteristics due to selective breeding, it just hasnât been long enough for true speciation to occur, unlike dogs/wolves and foxes or coyotes, for example which are completely different species of canines
