This is a family-owned business, established in 1970, with the goal of making quality furniture that will last, and also to the customer's specifications. We got to see how the pieces are made, from start to finish.

What an awesome furniture business. My wife and I are planning on going to Shady Maple and now plan on visiting their wood shop. I love the large extended table. That’s amazing how they can build that.

I have never saw such beautiful furniture in all my days. Wish I could call and order one of everything especially a table with the removable leaves. Loved the black walnut. They are so talented and you really got a great tour by Juanita ( I think that was the daughter’s name) . Great vacation you both have had 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Yes, her name was Juanita. Her father started the business back in 1970. And every piece of furniture they made was very impressive and very beautiful. I like the black walnut, too.
We purchased custom dining chairs from them years ago and now my son has them and they still look new

I am a new subscriber and have watched several of your videos the last few days. I saw one where you talked about honda recalling a few of their push mower and pressure washer engines. Thank you for keeping up with these types of things for us. I bought a craftsman pw from lowes last year that has the engine that is on recall. Runny how I have not received any correspondence from anyone concerning this. I have had this pw in the shop twice for fuel related problems. But not only that, I experienced the same recoil snatchback that you talked about. It just about broke my wrist. I will be taking it in for replacement or refund. Thanks again for the videos and keeping us informed. BTW, best regards to Ron and hope and pray for a speedy recovery.

The only other people that hand make furniture that is high quality that I know of are the Amish. I’ve seen some very beautiful furniture from the Amish in the central Midwest.

Our furniture is made for indoor use.
Amish always use drawer slides? I like no hardware. Tight fitted drawers are most impressive
@johnyb9884 They may always use those, I'm not sure. I learned a lot that day myself.
I'm not sure if that question was answered, as to whether those are always used. She was basically just showing us how they do it. I think they are Mennonite.
