Planet Pop'N 2024 X Funk in Focus: "A Boogaloo Legacy" Performance

“A BOOGALOO LEGACY”
This performance takes the audience on an entertaining and educational journey through the rich cultures and legacies of past and present-day "Boogaloo” & “Popping” dance.
As it traveled, the boogaloo spirit lived on as each city, crew, and individual continued to contribute their personal flavor, styles, and names to the boogaloo legacy. Within this performance, the audience will observe dance choreographies, solo performances, video projection, tradition bearer audio samples, and more.
“The Book of Styles: A Boogaloo Legacy” showcases and informs on the diversity and captivating nature of these incredible dance styles from back then until current day times to give the full scope of the Boogaloo Spirit and it’s continued evolution through the contributions of current day communities at large. The specific dance styles performed throughout this presentation include Boogaloo, Strutting, Robotting, Popping, Animation, Tutting, Waving, Gliding, and more.
