I’d say you’re one of the better riders I’ve seen on CZcams, knowing exactly where to look and spotting hidden hazards and preemptively slowing in preparation for situations where bikers are normally taken out

Love those old SV650s.
Man, this video made me REALLY think about putting an after-market exhaust on my SV650 (2018). There were numerous points in this video where either people HEARD you coming, so they didn't do something stupid...or you rev'd up to MAKE THEM hear you coming, so they didn't do something stupid. Hearing a motorcycle coming is half the battle.. Great video.

mine's coming back from service (serious rear head problem) in about a month, cant wait to take a spin around a town and roar at people a little, love this bike.
btw.. same colour and very simillar sound :)
the engine breaking on them are crazy.
For real, sometimes I feel like the front brake doesn't get enough love!

Love it, just got an sv650s and its top. Also got a gixxer and going the other way on the bypass past the Tesco, you know the corner..... .135 knee down following my mate also knee down with wife on the back on an xr1000r :) happy days, one of the bends you cannot go as fast in a car as you can on a bike... And yes I'm after a chufty badge :)

Nice bike! I have an 02 curvy with a full race high mount micron. Sounds beast too!
Nice but damn how UK road laws are lax... in Canada, in just the first half of that 11 minutes, you would have lost your license... twice.

Awesome bike, i'm thinking about getting one once I've done my A2 (I still have 2 years to wait!). By adding the resistor does it affect the overall power of the bike or just the top end pull? Also what sort of MPG do you get with a mix of dual carriage ways and town riding? :)
+Simply Riding Cool, good to know. When you fit the resistor do you have to get a garage to approve it for insurance purposes or is it literally you saying "I fitted it" and if you have an accident they would look?
Hey man is this a good bike for daily driving ? Or is the position too extreme or hard on the wrists ?
MOST people think it's too hard on the wrists, and that's why there are aftermarket bar conversion kits.

What exhaust are you running? My 03 sounded nothing like this.
99-02 had a carburator so it gives it a different deeper throttle than the fuel injection 2nd gens.
@@justinblea2752 I know they're carbed, but I've never noticed them sounding that different from the EFI bikes. All the ones I've seen/watched sound fairly similar

i currently ride a 98 gsxr 600. was really thinking about getting an sv 650 but it looks really under powered =s
dude i have an 07 sv650s, it's my first bike but that thing is balls too the walls. a solid flick and you go from 30-70 in third gear in like a second. I've never pinned the throttle yet after 1000 miles because this thing will want to giddy up, and I ride fairly hard when I get the chance. There's a vid of sv650 gear speeds where some kid goes through a few different speeds and gears to show you how it pulls.
It’ll hit 90mph from 0 in 6 seconds if you’re a good rider. They are rapid under 100mph. They’ve obviously not built for top end like your GSXR, the grunt down low is so much fun and can surprise many higher powered bikes off the line

It's always wise to signal with your hand whenever you can because someone could've missed your indicator but they probably wont miss your hand!

+Simply Riding nice. I'm looking at either going for the sv curvy or a bandit 600 at 47bhp love my online 4 but I'm edging towards the sv
+Simply Riding I've actually read that few times people saying there bandit was running like crap because of the rain. I'm leaning towards the sv reakon the low end torque would be better with it being restricted aswell as I wouldn't get to use the bandits power but how over the tank are you in the sv is it as bad as say a r6, gsxr etc thanks for the advice/help bud appreciate it 👍
