Even now high refresh rate phones are rare and the RP 1 is a lot cheaper than any new gaming phone and probabaly at least 3x faster than my current budget Honor. Also I dont want some slippery glass back on a gam i ng phone.

what is the difference in the headphone jacks of these phones
Both do not have headphone jacks which is a major let down to me. I have the 1st gen Razer Phone and its the best phone I have ever used in terms of performance. So smooth and fast thanks to the higher refresh rate. This is the way Andorid should be. The only two things that I like less is the lack of headphone jack and also the camera quality. But I am very reluctant to switch back to a 60 hz refresh rate phones.

Is the speakers the same or bettet and Razer 2?
About the same, the Razer 2 is tinnier but louder because of the water resistance, the Razer 1 is bassier and of course a bit quieter, which doesn't really matter because the speakers are plenty loud already

speakers are better in R2, and dont got weaker overtime. I believe R2 has better quality control.
Only problem I had on the original razor phone was it was impossible to use outdoors due to screen it used, Would like some actual outdoor testing before i consider upgrading. Gaming performance original was super, wireless charging not being on original was something I disliked glad they sorted that out.
what I'm more interested in is what have they done to address the weakness in their phone chassis in the Middle where they have all their buttons for the volume and for your screen unlock and fingerprint. I never thought I would care about such a thing but my original Razer phone been in my pocket when I went to go sit down at came up and hit my hip and bent the phone and now the screen just clicks randomly and does whatever it wants to do without my input. Even though I bought my phone less than a year ago on 11 22 2018 they're telling me my manufacturer warranty doesn't count because they recently changed that and now I'm Sol. because if you're going to spend that amount of money on a phone I would rather have something be done to address that as people who have taken apart this phone to see how it works on the inside of the also pointed out that is a weak point on this phone so I'm wondering if the glass back what they have done to the sides of the phone to strengthen that
The 2 has a great camera, at least compared to my last phone the LG V20

Glad they are continuing to improve the phone. It makes me look forward too maybe the razer phone 3 or 4 when I can justify getting a new phone. Honestly still loving the 1 I cant over state my love of the battery life. I can actually get through a work day while listening to podcasts audiobook and watching a videos on my breaks. And if I do none of those I can come home with more than 50 % so yeah major improvement over the 3-4 hours of life on my old phone.

Razer Phone could have less bezels in the same size... The speaker areas can be more thin and place a 18:9 screen on it, just look at ROG Phone.
José Leaderbell I would like a phone with a similar sharp design but front full screen is 18:9, whole top and bottom of the phone are speakers, camera pops out like the Vivo Nex and has a headphone jack as well. I wonder why no one has made a phone like that yet.
It's a gaming phone so they decided to make the big bezels to allow it to be held in the hand easier. I'm typing on one so I can take my word for it

U know, I love my Razer.. wouldn't trade it for a Note. Even thinking of upgrading to the Razer 2. But I wanna ask you an honest question. My Razer1 seems like %20 quieter than when I first got it. Otherwise bits perfect. An iphone8, for example, is WAY louder at 100. I've called customer service, and to their credit they've tryed and tryed to help. Even told me to send it back. But I got it as a gift, and I have ZERO paperwork. Now. That's on me, I should've asked for receipts and all that... I just felt it was in bad taste to ask for receipts on a birthday gift at the time. But anyway, I've cleaned out the grill, restarted my phone, turned Dolby off and on, all the typical stuff. So I'm just curious if this is something you guys ever dealt with? Thanks a ton. Any Reply would be appreciated
hi, yes R1 speakers got quieter overtime, mine got this problem only after a few months, maybe is the dust collected, and it is almost impossible to get it out. That didnt happen with my Razer 2, I think components have better quality and also speakers are sealed thanks to water resist. Yes, R2 is more refined; but at the end I would stay with R1 becouse is a lot lighter than the R2 and also more compact. If you dont mine always hold a 220 grams phone, get the R2.
@@halw74 oh.. I ordered the R2 last night. I'm looking forward to it. I just wish there was a better selection of cases for these phones. It's ridiculous we only have about 5-6 different cases to choose from. The Spigen case for my R1 has been a good one. I think I'm gonna go with the Tudia Merge for my R2. But we should have a wider selection of heavy duty cases by now. Probably gonna sell my R1 as soon as my R2 arrives

They shouldn't of changed to the Gorilla glass back...now it looks like every other phone on the market. People are just going to end up breaking them anyway. I'll stick with my Razer phone 1 for half the price.

Don't Ask Me The Glass back ordeal is the same as the notch seen in a lot of phones. It's a matter of personal preferences and what a user believes will be the best experience for them. I personally will never see myself using a wireless charger so I personally won't get a phone with a glass back. And like you said wireless charging has its benefits. But if I was to mess up the coils in the pad or break the back of the phone That would make it completely useless. And my job would probably be the best place for it to break a glass back. (even gorilla glass has its limits)
Paul Noone I haven't noticed anything with mine. Only thing I can complain about is that the charging cord that came with it didn't last but a week. Had to get a new cord.

I'm getting the old Razer Phone tomorrow for $300. The new one just isn't really an upgrade. Wireless charging and Waterproofing seems like something Razer could've included on the first one without it impacting the price much. I love the huge battery on the Razer Phones and I can do without the flashy logos that will drain it even faster.

@@Bryams02 I haven't had any issues with brightness so far but I also haven't used it in direct sunlight yet. I will only say this is the best phone I have ever purchased. The battery life is a beast, the performance is flawless, and 120Hz refresh rate is something I will be looking for in the phones I will purchase in the future.
I’m sad he did not to about the specs. The razor phone 2 has vapor cooling chambers which keeps it cooler than the original solving the overheating problem.

PRO GAMER GAME PLAYS AND MORE AT&T cancelled my order without informing me. I called them like 10 times kept getting disconnected and after a while I decided not to buy it because they kept running my credit over and over just to disconnect plus they didn’t call back.
45 mins each call, 10 calls, 9AM til 6pm and the second day was 9am til 430pm
If you were in my shoes would you keep trying to buy one from AT&T after all the incompetence...? Asus ROG is what I’m aiming for now
@@galan7galasees101 ah fair enough, i am stuck between the honor view 20 and the razer phone 2 but I'm leaning more towards the honor view 20 as I think it will be more future proof with the Kirin 980 chip. It's also one of the only Android smart phones that can run fortnite at 60fps at the minute. If you were to get one of the two phones which would it be?
PRO GAMER GAME PLAYS AND MORE the Razer can run 120fps because of its 120ghz refresh rate. It really depends on what you’re going to use it for. The honor has a way better camera front and back and it looks like the honor has the best camera on the market.
The honor also has a bigger screen. But I would lean more towards the Razer 2 but the Razer isn’t built for streaming with its bland camera images. It seems more revolutionary than the Honor 20 that’s just my opinion. If I had to choose any phone I would get the Asus ROG

Ive had my razer for 12 months now the build quality is garbage ( or maybe I've been unlucky). To sum up the speakers have stopped working properly, the phone no longer takes charge properly and it's not the adapter and the body is weak and has now formed a split which occurred after one drop. The sad thing is I really like this phone but if they haven't improved the build then I can't justify getting another one.

Going to 11 Months with mine, speakers fine, just top one a bit weaker than the bottom one (still sounds loud), dozen of drops, without any crack (I got a case). Just yesterday I got a charging issue, solved by let battery go down to 0 and power off. I got wet many times and no issue either.
Had mine for 6 months full cracked screen, top and bottom plastic pieces ripped off cracked front camera lens razor 2 supposed to have stronger glass maybe I got fucked on quality

TheEseJandro I spoke with Razer and they said the matt black will be out 4th quarter which were in lol the funny thing is they agreed in a way letting me think I was right on metal back with out flat out saying yes . Also the there’s no info on the site or within the the R2’s specs suggesting the Matt black as metal . So fingers crossed .
On another note it’s now being said that the audio is not on par with Samsung or Apples new flagships having a harsher sound .
Anyway we need more info on that for sure . Maybe FF can confirm the audio complaints ?
Unfortunately, they weren't trying to hide the fact it was metal. If anything they were not telling you no. The frosted back is also glass. Not metal. I wish it was but it's not.

64gb for their base model is a big error !!! Should have rather made 128gb for the base and 256gb for the high end variant... People only use micro-sd expandable storage for photos and videos not for installing their games !!! 😲😱

@@rihankyzen5883 I've had a Kingston 32gb which broke down on itself containing 12 gigs of photos and videos so no more sd cards for me... Moreover internal 2.1 ufs memory is 10 times quicker and reliable 👍😊
