@@AidanAustin316 as Chris WrestleMania 6 was the first WrestleMania I watched on ppv, but I've been watching since I was 5 in 1985.... our family and friends were split , but when warrior picked up Hogan for the gorilla press slam we went nuts (I know he was gassed at that point but he did do it to Hogan in WCW full lift) classic match

@@syria0110 well, maybe they could dedicate the entire legends roster to that mode and have the exact same matches from WWE 2k14 as well as other matches from that years mania.
This was BY FAR the best feature there has ever been on a WWE game. To be honest, 2K14 is a game that doesn't get nearly enough credit but is so much fun and easily holds up today.

If you grapple the rock you can hit an aa on him no problem

This game is nostalgic for me. The last game my friends and I played regularly in person before we all got jobs and busy young adult lives.

@@JayBirdo86 2K picked the series up after this game was complete. They just renamed it and released it. They didn't have anything to do with development until 2K15

It was fully developed by Yuke's Future Media Creators and THQ before THQ went bankrupted. 2k just pick up the WWE games after they finished the development of WWE '14 now known as "WWE 2k14".

They should really bring this back in the modern games
The last wwe game I played was I think 2k16 or whichever one had the stone cold showcase and remember really enjoying it but that could also be because I got it for free and downloaded the arn Anderson someone made and ran it in the career mode

From 30 to 40....orton vs Rollins wm31...Brock vs roman wm 31....John cena vs undertaker at whatever wm it was....and....Steve austin vs Kevin Owens at whatever wrestlemania it was. That's 4 legit moments that actually made you feel something....sooo 40 years of wm, 30 of them matter and then....4?.....oh and I pray to God they never include Daniel Bryan at wm30....that was absolutely awful and shameful.

I have the “WWE Greatest Rivalries” DVD that was on the Bret Hart vs. Shawn Michaels rivalry. I sadly wasn’t alive around the WWF era, but my uncle would tell me all about that time of WWE. Then he bought me that dvd to show me and instantly, Shawn Michaels became one of my favorite wrestlers, Undertaker is my other favorite.

I always found it kinda funny how they did this mode prior to there being a Wrestlemania 30 (and before any matches were even made).I'd always chuckle and think "Heh, the 29 Years of Mania mode" Silly, but funny lol

As much as I love 2k14 and am happy it's here, it technically would've been more fitting in 2k15, especially since it would have 30 years AND be the first game on the new gen consoles, so it would generate more hype
Sadly 2k15 was absolute garbage, the 30 years of wrestlemania mode probably wouldn't be nearly as fondly remembered if it did release on 2k15 haha
@@theoldhermit2601 The previous gen version of 2k15 (ps3 and 360) was actually pretty good since it was just 2k14 with an updated roster and all the features that got removed in the main version. It's mind-blowing how much 2k screwed up.

I feel lucky as a kid that I was able to see the trilogy of Rock vs Stone Cold as it unfolded. I’ll never forget my entire family huddling up in the living room watching in 2003, and my entire family cheering Rock on bc we were so mad from last year 😂

Fact - The WrestleMania 3 match between Savage and Steamboat was meant to setup Steamboat for a big run but he wanted time off going into the match which is why the title was moved to Honky pretty quickly. Was meant to be Butch Reed/Jake The Snake but neither of them showed up to the live event, Honky just happened to be walking passed Hogan/Vince while they were discussing the IC title, and HOgan suggested give him the title
Just finished beating this a couple of days ago. I know exactly which matches Chris is gonna struggle with.

@@FaresMason the main problem are the objectives like hit the stomp on both John and hhh and punt kick either John or hhh to win. It's way to hard to punt kick to win,the animation is so slow the other person gets up before u can even pin hin

The best showcase mode of all time
game developers did a great job. Recreated with small details. Today most big developers are really lazy look at Madden, Pes Efootball all same and removing their all good features and modes.
I love that even tho you and everyone else watching knows how moments actually go, you still provide the “oh noooo” moments as if it’s a surprise. Really cool to relive them and suspend knowing what happens with you. Awesome video and great content as always man thank yoi

I've only been getting back into playing WWE games hoping 2K24 will have something like this. 2K14 was my favourite all time WWE game
With wrestlemania 40 coming up, i could see them in 2k25 we could see 40 years of wrestlemania. I would hope they would wait for mania 40 so we could get a match from that event, but either way i hope that we get it eventually cuz this mode rules

You the man, bro, I just ordered WWE 2K14 on Thursday and got it shipped to my house on Saturday, only thing I'm missing is a Playstation 3 and I will be set to play the game. WWE 2K14 will go down in history as one of the best WWE 2K games of all time right next to WWE 2K12 & 2K13.
I agree, I truly believe Punk should have ended the streak. It was in my opinion Taker's last good to great match in WWE.

They need to remaster this game mode or sumn, the accuracy with the cutscenes in these matches and the arenas and attires are so top knotch. This mode is still top tier and this game is not appreciated enough for just how great it was

The new game only has 21 showcase matches. Its AWFUL. This game is so much better in that it provides more matches and more moments. I cant even believe how they crapped all over us for the 40th anniversary. I strongly believe it has something to do with now they include over 250 wrestlers now. Its pretty dumb they have thay many. 50 of them are jobbers

John John Cena was a different monster in the mid 2000s to 2010s Cena at wrestlemania 25 and 26 he was always main eventing he was the guy he’s just the goat
WWE2K14 is my favourite WWE game by a mile. I've played every game from SVR2008 onwards and 2k14 is something else. Immensely fun gameplay, graphics that have a genuine charm, story mode, incredible roster and 30 Years Of Wrestlemania! Since I got it all those years ago it's been my favourite. I hope we get a similarly incredible showcase mode soon.
