Never in my dreams back in 1999 would I think that in the future we could finally see the past. Amazing to fill in the pieces of Manson Mania. For me, Mechanical Animals has sustained as my favorite rock album of all time. I'm partial to the "Marilyn Manson" side of the album, as opposed to Omega, but I love it all. This energy of the time, the late 90s, it will never come back. Manson is an incredible artist, but they were all riding the wave of the time. It is a shame to look back and realize what a valley we're in culturally - but things will change, new art will come. This, though, is just immaculate in a sense, not to be ironic. I was mesmerized as a teenager, and even more so now, at the bravado, the confidence, the execution - everything that made this band so special. All without the internet to pump out the ego, to capture every minute and every ounce of spirit. It was special because it was real. It's amazing to see this now. Shoutout to all the other people still blasting Mechanical Animals in 2020 and beyond.
I think it looks better than now by comparison. I saw them in January '99. The few memories of memories I have are lightbulbs in his 'drugs' sign were blown and maybe he ripped up a Bible. The moment is long gone and I only have now. My good friend and band mate hasn't talked to me in 20 years. I have to let the past go and embrace change.
@@sebastienprahin9179 not true. If you check their concert during Big Day Out in 1999 for example, it's clearly live, and the dope show was one of the best parts of the recording.
yea... he plays in some specific songs: down in the park, driep tide and dead to the world, minute of decay, coma white, in the shadows of the valley of dead...
nlausch when i saw him last october his guitar was definitely plugged in bc we all know he’s not the best player lol. he only played for Dried Up Tied and Dead to the World though
I wish I wasn’t a year old when he performed this lmao. I’d kill to be my age now to see that performance. Mechanical Animals is one of my favorite eras besides Holy Wood and TGAOG.
Is there anyone else having mixed feelings about seeing Marilyn Manson live?! (in general, not this particular show). Every time he comes to my country, I think about it and then I decide I’m not going to see him. Why? I love good live performances, and for me it’s always about the music, not the show elements. I mean, when a guy is just standing there by himself, in his jeans and a guitar in his hands, singing and playing with great talent and enthousiasm, I’m happy. I listen to Marilyn Manson since I was like 14 years old. I like the recorded, electronically adjusted songs. I love his voice and the music makes me feel at home. But when I hear the music live, I’m missing something.. the music itself. Right here with Coma White, it’s just the same. I’m not saying everything has to be perfect, like the album. But with Coma White, for me the ‘clinical’ sound of the song, in combination with great guitar work and solo, is what makes the song great. I think it would be so great if there was a more musician like approach to the live performances. Another example: holding a guitar as a prop don’t work for me.. Someone here who feels the same?
***** I already knew he played guitar on Angel With The Scabbed Wings but what I said was that he doesn't play guitar on this song Coma White because I saw other (More Recent) live videos of him playing this song and he didn't have a guitar in his hands. He also didn't have a guitar in the music video for this song.
He mentioned in his autobiography that he didn't know how to play the guitar when he was in the NIN video. Trent just thought it would look good for the video. Since then I know he's learned how to play a little because I have seen him play in a few of his live videos but not many.

wow i couldn’t have said it better manson mania from about 96-99 was crazy wether you were a fan or you weren’t he changed my entire teenage years lol
You're comment is so beautiful.. I see Marilyn Manson for the first time only in 2003.
these were 100% true artists
Last Day on Earth is my fave MM song and MA my fave album.
Still blasting this album in 2024 brother, this shit is too good!
I'd pay anything to witness this version of Marilyn Manson!
I witnessed and back then I never thought that we would be able to watch this on our phones one day. Enjoy!
Sameeee😭
here it is, for free

Marilyn
Twiggy
John 5
Pogo
Ginger Best setup
Flinchey While I prefer Daisy Berkowitz to John 5 I must say, John 5 never lets the fans down
Good bye twiggy
bring me the manson Manson isn't Manson without Twiggy
bring me the manson yea man RIP Daisy and Twiggy’s gone wow
Flinchey Daisy was the shit
This song is so hauntingly beautiful, we've ALL felt this way at one time or another in our lives.
Thats why it sells.
@missy marie Then you are not human
We need a time machine :(
Sounds exactly like the record, nice.
Pumpkin Smasher79 playback's magic he always used playback for mechanical animal ' s song.
it is especially obvious with dope show and this one
That's not a playback, man.. :D

Sébastien Prahin can’t you hear the difference
No.
Holy shit I never knew Manson even played guitar! He looks badass with it.
Chris House u should check out a band called nine inch nails the song gave up Marilyn Manson plays guitar in it back when he was young.
too bad his guitar is never plugged in

When Marilyn Manson are on their game, you can't tell the difference between their albums and live.
there’s no solos!!!
I find myself tensing my entire body listening to this song. There's something different about it. It's so incredibly beautiful.
This performance is amazing
Sad I didn't get to experience this when I was younger. I was only 4 back then lol. Absolutely love this shit
I was Born the year this came out
This was exactly 9 years before I was born (to the date)
Me too! I’m 21 now
There's such a weight to his voice, against the rhythm section especially. Very rare sound in live music honestly.
Это охрененно!!!🖤
I think 1999 was his peak
Bizarre Festival 1997 was his peak👌
2001 ozzfest.
Before Columbine destroyed his career.
To the real ones he never fell off
@@chrisbetts4605 Exactly, just as masterful today as ever. I assumed you’ve listened to his latest album?
This song live with 10/10 on Performance really gives you the chills.. ❤️
I wish manson would lay off drugs and do some cardio to perform like it's 1999 again
Yeah, me a too such a shame.
JohnConnor333 he was on a lot of drugs back then, that's why he was so skinny
His not that skinny, he looks a healthly person for me. He had a lot of power if he could sing and move like that. This Marilyn is on the top
He's just old now, i think he was around 29 here? big difference between that and late 40s.
JohnConnor333 Cocaine is more effective than cardio in his case IMO.
love love love love
so fuckin beautiful
+Dark Alesso so fuckin perfect..
Wow que hermosa su voz en ese tiempo😍
I love this human being!
I wish I wasn’t a year old when he performed this lmao. I’d kill to be my age now to see that performance.
Mechanical Animals is one of my favorite eras besides Holy Wood and TGAOG.
He has such an incredible vocal!
So cute of John 5 to let him pretend play guitar
teleport me to the 90s 💔
❤❤❤
omfg wtf first time i ever see manson playing a guitar, wow!
best tour after best album. Nostalgia tears.

Totally agree, specially the guitar riffs at the end.
Yeah..
Most importantly I guess, his modern shows are shit af. Not this video ofc; I'm talking more like 2016 - present
With you all the way!

jeje :p
Lo hace igualito, con guitarra y todo 👌

Mike imita muy bien al gran MM
al imitador peruano le sale en otro tonoo , no con la voz del verdadero XD
I wish they had released this song on their live album "The Last Tour on Earth"
