The mech being at the tournament in the animation does not confirm he will be at the same place in the series. Like with the animation for the Zane Car last year.

I love how the set designers/lego/writers or whoever is behind this made it so that minifigures have a much harder time spoiling the show now. That's probably why Jay missed out on 3 waves but had a ninja minifigure in all of them - to set a proper precedent that now makes us unsure whether Kai will actually come back for part 2 or not. Plus, we are getting plenty of not canon minifigures we otherwise wouldn't have gotten because of the show's plot, making it so a set of ninja with the same suit style doesn't look incomplete.
Just imagine how many otherwise rare or non-existant minifigures we would have gotten if this was a thing since day 1: Pilots Lloyd, DX Lloyd (though tbf those 2 would be awkward, might need a revision on that), tournament Zane, and some other ones.
I hope we get a tournament Jay minifigure when he becomes good again

There was a concept image posted to Twitter that I saw Doc reply to with impressment. The art depicted Raz, Jordanna, Nok, Cinder, Evil Jay, Tox and Mr. Pale all fought against the Ninja+ Eurphrasia in their tournament attire. I feel as if this art is a compelling factor to your theory in addition to the new Minifigure designs being shown here.
That being said my personal theory is Raz is assembling a NEW forbidden 5 as his team includes a total of 5 elemental masters

Looks great! I’m excited for part 2 and the call back to the tournament of elements. Seeing that Arin was upset about not having an elemental power last season, I can see this being a big character development part for him.
I’m getting the feeling it’s soon going to be Arin’s turn to get a new power. AKA the power of Recipes. From the pies he bakes.

A theory of mine (about the production of dragons rising) is: Imagine if they acually used a darker theme for dragons rising like in sons of Garmadon. Many people enjoyed SOG cuz of the darker theme and the production of the story. For me dragons rising has a very good story line but imagine if they actually used a darker theme. Imagine how much more appreciated these seasons will be. Anyway good video! Keep the theories up!

I’m still pretty mad that you can’t buy the rest of the Summer Sets until August 1st 😤 like what’s the point in that ? Is this wave too expensive and they want people to just focus on buying the TTC first before all the other sets ? If that’s the case that’s pretty considerate and mean of Lego at the same time if they didn’t get your money on June 1st they will end up getting it on August and people who preordered the other sets have to wait even longer now 😞
