- Hey loves recently I got my hair Straightened and I loved everything about it except my invisible edges🤨 which I take blame for. I decided to get my hair straightened because I fell like my hair was not growing anymore and I needed a trim really bad.
If you live in Columbus and you need a great salon for the same treatment "Ye Chevux is the place for you" . I'm sorry I lost the shampoing clip in this video but I promise you didn't miss much.

A lot of jealous people in the comment sections. Some people need product on their hair because its porous. No product for me means Diana Ross 20 mins after I leave the salon 😂. I think it has enough bounce and definitely shiny. People keep saying new techniques 😂😂😂😂. By New I guess they mean the Dominican way🤔🤔🤔🤔. The Ice is always colder smh.......... I mean how hard is it? wash, dry, press, curl. I think it looks great.

Jealous lol, when she goes to another stylist and they don't even have to be young but up to date on better products for the hair now she will damn sure agree with most of us here.
@@Dira501 Nope they won't. If they are truly good at their craft they will say it depends on the characteristics of the individual's hair. So yes, She's actually right.
@@user-zx5xw4yw2e Our hair doesn't have characteristics, I never said no one needs product in their hair, we all do but not anything to weigh our hair down. Hair products have evolved so there is no reason to be stuck in the 80's slapping grease on somebody's hair. You do know that hair stylists should take a refresher class to keep up to date with the changes just like a Nurse. All change is not bad!! Back when I was in school Balayage wasn't even heard of, but ppl do it now. You can add moisture to your hair just by doing a deep conditioner once a week with a hair steamer and that alone will eliminate some of those topical products because most don't even penetrate the hair shaft.
I don't know why this song made me emotional it speaks to black women here and all over the world.

Some of y'all complaining about her technique but the CZcamsr said in comments that she did not get heat damage. These Old school techniques have worked & I don't remember people complaining about heat damage years ago. Heck, I'm a man & have some heat damage from these "new school" techniques. New isn't always better.

@@jadawilson292 Our hair can puff into an afro when wet, be silky straight when pressed, and everything in-between (wavy, loose curls) depending on product usage, method, tools, etc. For the most part, no other race can do that. Or if they can it'll last a few hours before falling flat. Of course all hair is versatile, but ours is the most versatile, period.

Mahogany B. I agree. I laugh at the posts about finding someone that does natural hair. This is not a new thing. This is apart of our roots (no pun intended) black women/girls going to the salon to get their natural pressed. So let us pay homepage to the history and yes evolution of the process.
I remember my aunt Irean use to do a press and curl on me and would put a glob of grease on the back of her had. My hair always turned out beautiful and it grew. Old school beauticians know how to do hair and grow it out.
This is a true beautician which better than just being a hair stylist!! She knows how handle natural hair correctly. You go girl!!

It’s was nice style. The stylist put to much product in my opinion your hair looked weighed down. She should have used a denman or a paddle brush or even the round brush it would have got your hair more flowy without having to do that many passes on your hair

She definitely need to update her styling technique, she used to much product and your hair had no movement. I've never seen a stylist have the client stand while they clip the hair, and your head was tilted so it changed the angle of the cut. Being as you haven't had your hair straightened in a while you won't have any heat damage, bcz she passed the flat iron too many times, if you go to her again you should get her to roll your hair instead of blow drying so it will be less heat. It still came out ok.

It is pretty. Although I feel if she used the chase methos while straightening the ends would look better and she wouldn't have to pass so many times.

You're so blessed to have beautiful natural hair. I've tried so many times to get natural but it never seems to workout for me. It's hard being natural.
Try staying your natural hair with olive oil and water inside of a spray bottle also try mayo with an egg to see what texture you get let it sit for like 45 mins wash it out and put a leave in conditioner
It can be done with patience and learning about what your natural hair loves. Nourish it, find a simple hair care regimen. It's a journey, but a beautiful one and so worth it in the end.

Before watching this video to the end I read the comments and thought that the stylist did a horrible job until I watched it to the end and saw that she did a fabulous job. Maybe that is how the client wanted it. I don't think that is too much heat. Don't forget her hair texture. Making my hair like that usually last me a month or at least 3weeks. Stop the hate.

Beautiful hair and results...ur edges broke off because of the puffs same thing happen to me before just use some jamaican black castor oil and lay off the puffs for a little while and they will be right back full just like the rest of ur hair!!!
Tamera Woodley Thanks for the advice and the compliment 😊💕. My edges did not break off due to wearing my hair in high puff, I recently got the lemonade braids and they were really tight on my hair and felt very uncomfortable that’s how I lost my edges 😬
