We are now another song closer to completing the Eurovision 2024 lineup. Greece is joining the list of confirmed songs with the release of Marina Satti's song "Zari".
Marina Satti was announced as the Greek representative for Eurovision 2024 back in October, and now her song is officially out. Greek broadcaster, ERT officially unveiled the entry on a special presentation show, "Eurovision in Sight" on ERT1 hosted by Fotis Sergoulopoulos and Jenny Melita.

It’s crazy how people in Greece hate it.
Literally, the majority of people over 30 years old (mostly on Twitter) are calling it:
• An “Ugly Bollywood song”
• A “Disgrace for our country that makes them look like gypsies and Balkan villagers”
• The Epitome of Kitsch (they haven’t realised that the music video kinda satirises the stereotypes of Greece among tourists and the souvenir shop squares, but embraces them too)
• A “second hand embarrassment”.
• They’re asking how the fuck it was made by 9 conductors, stating that it was actually conducted on a toilet session
• Some of them are calling Marina Satti “Talentless” or that she is wasting her voice with that song
The 70% of greek comments on Tik Tok and other social media are hate comments stating that Greece will not pass the Semi Final and it will “fail”
However, the younger generation and more intellectual people love Marina and they are proud for her.
Were very angry watching our entry being loved and embraced from foreign countries while it is almost Hatecrimed here

I always like Greek entries best when they are at their most Greek (some of my Greek faves are 1976, 1993, 2011 and 2013, & OTOH couldn't stand all those "shake it" songs in English in the 2000's), so yes, this is very nice 😅 She could have left the English bits out altogether, IMO, but still.

I've seen so many fucking hate comments from Greeks for no reason at all.Greeks are unsatisfied with anything tbh,they love to complain and nag....(maybe that's why our country is a mess lmao).
