    Just by the way he collates his thoughts and speaks, you can tell that his thinking is about 5-10yrs ahead in time. An inspiration to even someone like me who is in no way involved in the music/film industry.

      Satish, I don't think you understood the question. If you were a musician and ONE song became a hit, you might be so over the moon, that you believe you have arrived. And then after one huge success, it is tempting to NOT put your heart and soul into the next one - why? Because you proved yourself already - I am talking about the average person here. And now imagine that for ARR, who has achieved so much, what must be his motivation? He can easily rest on the laurels of the last 3 decades! I think it is a great question to find out what keeps him going, what keeps him from getting bored. He made 'Taare Gin'' with the same hunger and desire, as if he was debuting. His never-ending hunger is very inspiring and it is worth him telling that so ordinary people don't get complacent after tasting a bit of success.

      @@creatorg6498 Exactly. The only song ARR remixed was an old TMS song 'Ponmagal vandhal' and it was because Vijay had requested him during ATM shooting.

    ARR is only composer in india, who keeps experimenting in music, hence he stand out always, BTW dont compare ARR to Hans, coz hans is lord of Western classical and might be Ilayaraja could be compared for his extensive work in Western classical

      Hans Zimmer is hardly the lord of Western Classical music. He is specialized in epic orchestral and synthesized stuff. Both ARR and Ilaiyaraaja are miles ahead of Hans Zimmer as composers. Hans Zimmer seems to know more about the music production.

    India should be proud of its Muslim people. Only small fraction of Muslims are extremists but Muslims like Allah Rakha Rahman or A R Rahman is the Muslim who gives immense contribution to Indian music. Even though India is Hindu majority but Muslims have immense cintribution in arts and culture. M F Hussain in art, A R Rahman in Music and numerous top actors actresses in bollywood.
