Life feels upside down lately but I’m happy and SO grateful that I have you guys. 2020 has been interesting to say the least …it’s going to be a weird journey but it isn’t anything I can’t dominate, handle and come back out on top of even stronger. I may not be on a consistent upload schedule but it’s because I’m going to be in the breakup building blues for a hot second and I am choosing to work behind the scenes through my pain. Love you guys so damn much, I don’t know what I’d do without you. Cheers to a new chapter! We got this!

Watching this made me cry and smile, not Bc you made me sad, not at all. But Bc I know how hard it is to invest so much into a relationship and have to end it. But your strength and poise is unmatched. I love when you said you showed them gratitude but most importantly when you realized you get to design and think only of yourself. After the pain there is joy in finding you. It took me sometime but im falling in love with me and enjoying only considering my opinions likes and dislikes as well. In life in general. I know this video is 3 yrs old but when I was searching shed makeover yours came up. You have inspired me so much to do my shed. I'm at the beginning of my project. I need a new roof, floor and one side is rotten and the plywood has to be replaced. But in the time being I've cleared it out and trying to put my design together and you gave me so many great ideas. The paint job is beautiful, peg board genius, tools spray painted beautiful. Every detail you did my brain was racing like hmmmm I can do that. I'm a beginner at power tools but I know I can make my shed over to personalize my dream. Thank you so much for sharing. Thats just an awful thing to say to someone who's still trying to process her emotional wellbeing. Once she goes past that, she can start worrying about this.
I know in my area cosmetic fixes have basically 0 effect on the resale value of the home. Appraisals are based on market value of the area. Even the fact that we had a new roof and siding didn't increase our Appraisal value. Cosmetic updates help a house sell quickly but not usually for more money

Still, I want you to know the God push up out situations because he wants better things for us and we don’t understand at all at first, just let him take charge because sooner than you know, you will look back and said that was nothing and I’m glad I’m when through all that and learned a lot from that situation. You’re a beautiful girl who deserves the whole world and nothing less. Stay focused and remain being you. Rachel I am so sorry for this transition time, I know what losing a relationship means and I have 4 children. But YOU encouraged me so much to believe that as a single mom I could do anything and after watching every single video you made and buying all the same power tools, I have enjoyed creating so many DIY stuff. I just bought a car canopy to be my workshop (as I can't afford a shed for now) and I'm about to build a stand-alone pegboard wall to have my tools by me. Anyway, remember the best is yet to come, and thank you for sharing your journey and your passion !!!

Couple months ago, and i can’t get enough of them. I love you and everything you do! You are beautiful and have an awesome personality and mind. I love how honest you are in whatever process you are in, like when your home becomes a mess during a project-you keep it real and show it-or when you make a mistake on a project-you show it and make it apart of the learning process. And through it all, you keep on moving, finishing the project, getting it done, and going forward on to the next thing that you conquer with what you have learned. I'm so very happy that I found your channel. And you're right, women especially tend to think that because the sky is falling, we have to be superwoman and not just woman. And we have to provide space for both. We cannot expect to show up fully in any part of our lives if we're neglecting any part of our lives. I pray that as you go through this period of transition, you're able to take your 'be still and know' quote to a whole new level of self-awareness and reconciliation. I also pray that you and the tiny human are able to spend time together if that's something that you both want.

You have no idea how much this meant to me to watch. Having to validate my emotions in my personal life and the significant other, in contrast to what's going on in the world and it became so hard to feel what I wanted to feel without being vindicated for it, like my emotions were nothing and like I wasn't allowed to be going through something. But seeing you go through the almost exact situation I'm going through, it's given me so much hope and strength that even though the pain will take, what may feel like forever, to get over, it'll be worth it in the end to make sure that I am comfortable in myself and where I am and where I want to be in life and not have to feel guilty about it. Wow you are truly an inspiration Rachel! Your courage to restart and be vulnerable in the process will no doubt encourage others going through the same thing. 8 years ago I walked a similar road when my marriage of 13 years ended suddenly. I poured my heartache into “DIYing” the place I bought when I moved out with my two children by my side, and creating a new place for us was a salve for my soul. I am now remarried to an amazing man who has shown me what it means to be loved completely. He’s also my mentor and has taught me how to use heavy duty tools and I’m loving it! Just wanted to share that with you because you are an inspiration to me to keep learning and trying new things and never be afraid ! I wish you all the happiness you deserve!

Words can’t not describe how much respect I have for you. It’s weird because I am not big on DIY or CZcams and I came across one of your videos 2 weeks ago and I’m hooked. Not to mention it’s like you and are going through similar situations. I was engaged 2/14/20 only to be broken up 5/22/20 after 9 years smh... so now on to new endeavors and I want to build my own she shed, closets, etc... I’m new to the tools but have been talking with my bestie about tools. Can you please do another beginner friendly starter tool set? Also, since my down grade things are smaller for me too. I absolutely love this transformation! I've been really wanting to get a shed from Home Depot or Lowe's and fo something like this. Being the only girl, besides the dog, I could be able to work in peace and quiet, or blast my music while I work. Hubby and our boys not allowed in. Plus it would free up an extra room in the house.
I moved to Germany being very young. And fixing my rental was such a headache. So I asked my male friends to assist with different works. I somehow assumed that I couldn't doing it by myself. But now watching your videos, I know for sure that I CAN do everything (okay, not everything) on my own.

Woow, I just wanted to write...what great timing I am redoing our shed too...ofcourse I am not nearly as crafty as you and our shed needs to be a combo of multiple things...but then I only realized what you said so quickly in the beginning... I am so sorry that your personal life is changing so drastically...but after watching so so many of your videos, I know that you can get through this. Be strong!
