What I love most about this is the powerful lyrics and that gorgeous vocal blend. That's why bands collaborate, to experiment with the different blends. This one is very clean and rich and I love it!

This is a beautiful blend of electronic and metal. Jacoby's intensity and screaming really compliments Sharon's angelic voice. Overall, the way they handled this song was really good. They brought the best of both worlds together here, and the end result is a powerful hit that stands out!
It has a kind of early LP sound to it :)
I could swear that I keep hearing a trumpet in the background. Especially in the beginning. It's like it's a prelude to the song itself before it hits you hard. But the song overall is pretty freaking amazing! I love it so much. Edit: I was trying to find the words to the trumpet like sound in the background and I got it. It is a fanfare! A fanfare to a new album that is to come! :D
90% of my music collection is electronic, old skool dance, EBM , so glad I have found some rock/metal that is forward thinking and so epic! December is a long time to wait for the album , so hope the next single is released soon.

Finally the greatest band in this genre is back. Love these tunes, totally fit my style and taste! LOVE the lyrics, they’re so strong and touching. Also the eletronic additions are well done, really fit the song. Jacoby is wonderful here, love the connection between their voices. Such a strong comeback, the song is so dark and so heavy in a way. Big surprise after Hydra singles.

Actually it's hard to describe WT's genre. They were doom, gothic, symphonic, a bit pop, a bit rock, a bit dance... they mixed rock with metal, they mixed symphonic with gothic, then they mixed popular music with some rocky stuff. Every album is quite different and it's really hard to compare them. Just enjoy your favourite songs, Within Temptation are far beyond genres :D I'd call it temptation metal, haha
Been listening to this group since Heart of Everything released in 2007. I feel like they're FINALLY getting some worldwide recognition. First her hit with Tarja (former lead of Nightwish), and now Jacoby from Papa Roach, Adam Gontier of Saint Asonia and former lead for Three Days Grace AND Amy Lee of Evanescence. Sharon is killin it! Much deserved love and recognition.

Does not have as much of the fantasy and symphonic style they used to have, this is more of a modern rock, I still like this new song, bands will change their sound a bit on new albums. So either way, glad to see new content from Within Temptation and I love it.

I've been a WT fan since 2006, and back then I fell in love with Mother Earth and The Silent Force. They have had this track record of releasing albums that have corresponded meaningfully to points in time in my life ever since.
For the past three years I've been on a cyber metal kick. Well I've listened to this song about 10 times today, and from reading the latest WT newsletter about taking their sound in a futuristic/rebellious direction, it seems they've done it again. I pre-ordered the deluxe digital version a few hours ago. 😀

As an American, I'm glad to hear the lead singer from papa roach in this song. I've been a papa roach fan for years. Add the fact that within temptation is another bamd I've listenes to for years makes this song better.

I personally love the song, it has a heavier sound than their last songs and that pleases me a lot! Sharon as always sounds excellent, like the whole band, they're great. And come on, you can't pretend that a band that is world famous stays stuck in a single style. They changed a lot, that's true, but for example in this song you can hear a THOE-style sound, but modern or more commercial if you want to call it that way and it's not bad at all! They are a band, a group of people who work together and perform the music they like and they want, now whether we like it or not as followers is another issue. The musicians can't work according to what a group of fans want, and yes, maybe they have lost some fans with their changes, but surely they have gained new fans worldwide :)

Every band moves on and evolves. To all of you comparing this to their old stuff: You can't expect Within Temptation to go back to The Heart of Everything Era. If you don't like this, don't listen to it. It's pretty clear they have a new style now. It makes no sense to comment under their videos that you want them to go back to something they maybe just don't wanna do anymore.
The Heart of Everything is my favorite WT album and I still go back and listen to it a lof, but that doesn't stop me from appreciating their new stuff and judging it seperately without comparing it to their (very) old material.
The Heart of Everything is pretty good but Enter is their masterpiece. I am so sad that they never play any songs from Enter at their concerts.

Can a band even evolve if their debut album was, simply put, perfect?
If something evolves, it improves. I think they didn't, they just changed their style a lot and, sadly, changing something that is perfect can only result in deterioration.

Sharon den Adel was 22/23 years old, when Enter was released, now she is 44 years old. Do you really think you could make the same kind of music for 20 years, without changing it?
Farah Foory Of course, it‘s natural that a band changes throughout 20 years of being active. However, there are a lot of bands out there that preserved at least a bit of their old style in their newer songs.
If I listened to this song without knowing the artist, the only thing that made me know that this is WT was Sharons voice, nothing else.
