Alina's very brave going for her dreams despite her mother already having her whole life planned ahead of her. She was only protacting her daughter and wants the best for her. Brave girl
Alina's mother is doing everything so she would be safe and happy. However every girl has a right to find they're dreamgirl or guy and so does Alina.
Also the way Alina's mom insulted her boyfriend by the first meeting is just wrong. You can't judge someone who you don't even know well enough and if your daughter loves him you accept him.
Good things got better between Alina and her mother in the end. Love how close they became and Alina's mom is the sweetest. Love wins
Alina's story is beautiful, incredible and amazing. I felt sorry for Alina as Sage left her heartbroken when they broke up. I would give Alina a big hug. I love how she and Sage made up at the end for everything that happened earlier. MSA always comes up with incredible stories!

I just wish the story had shown Alina’s mother apologizing to Sage for how she overreacted at him when he was a boy? I also would’ve loved to see Sage and Alina get married.

bruh Alina was dumb for being so mad at Sage for being scared to hurt her- litreally
I mean, having your dad leave you when you were a kid, being bombarded with “love curse” shit at a very impressionable age, and seeing how Sage acted when they met again, I can’t totally blame her for letting intrusive thoughts take over.
She hasn’t seen him in forever and doesn’t know bull at this point- hence why she asked around, because he ignored her was was just staring/glaring at her until they made up in a way and started dating.
It’s normal to feel afraid of someone you love and pour your heart into, to hurt you, and succumbing to that fear, Alina tried to stay away because she probably felt so vulnerable and open to him.

In a way I can relate to this story. My heart was shattered years ago and it’s been hard for me to trust a lot of people. I always told myself “never again, romance is for the weak.” But soon after someone walked through my heart’s door without knocking and just made my life more colorful. I don’t think I want to ever hit the reset button ever. Because I’m happier than ever.
