  • Hello and welcome back to my channel, in today’s video I head up to The MKM Stadium, Winterton. The full time score was Winterton 0-1 Scunthorpe with the only goal of the game coming from the first half from newly signed midfielder, Carlton Ubaezuonu.
Next up is a trip to Northolme to face former iron manager Russ Wilcox’s Gainsborough Trinity, who we faced off twice in 2023, one in pre season seeing the iron run riot as 6-0 winners and a Lincolnshire Senior Cup victory in December 2023 where the iron won 7-2 to book a semi final place away at Cleethorpes Town, we went on to win the Lincolnshire Cup.
Shortly followed after is another trip for me to the MKM stadium the day after Gainsborough but this time as a home fan supporting Winterton as they take on rivals North Ferriby F.C, who in 22/23 beat Winterton to the title, despite Rangers battering Ferriby 4-0 at the home of North Ferriby, both teams ended up getting promoted but winterton didn’t stay in step 4 for long, getting relegated back down while North Ferriby weren’t far off from promotion.
Saturday 20th July sees me take the bus into Scunthorpe Town Centre and visit Appleby Frodingham fc to cheer on Winterton at Brumby Hall.
I have a whole week away from football before I make my return to my home, The Attis Arena (Glanford Park) as we take on FC Halifax Town at home at 1PM, which as soon as that game finishes, I will be heading back to Winterton to support them in their first league game of the season at home against Handsworth FC.
Just a day later I will return to Glanford Park to see some of Scunthorpe’s most legendary players in history take to the Glanford Park pitch once more in a charity match. These legends include: Cleveland Taylor, Steve Cammack, Steve Torpey, Josh Morris, Nathan Stanton, Andy Crosby, Tony Daws, Martyn Woolford, Andy Dawson, Peter Beagrie, Jamie Forrester, Russ Wilcox, Grant McCann, Sean McAllister, Cliff Byrne, Gary McSheffrey, Paul Musselwhite, Sam Togwell, Billy Sharp, being managed by Brian Laws.
Tuesday 30th July sees me take a trip up north to Hartlepool United in our final away friendly.
Only 3 days later we face our final friendly at home to newly promoted champions of the National League Chesterfield face off at Glanford Park, with former striker and legend Paddy Madden returning with Chesterfield.
