Thank you for the review of a professional who knows what he is talking about, unlike most people who run such channels and have never had an instrument in their hands in their lives. Reviews by educated musicians on YT are really scarce, and the rest of the amateurs don't interest me because they simply don't know what they are talking about.
This song is Marcin's composition, which is some time old, but in this clip Marcin arranged it specifically for Tim, and probably Tim also influenced the final shape of this arrangement, and I can't imagine it would be different. Especially since they are colleagues, and fans of both musicians have waited a very long time for this collaboration and finally got it.
For me personally, this piece is so good because both musicians are guitar virtuosos and both have a thorough musical education. I remind you that Tim started with the violin before he took up guitar and progressive rock. As of today, these are the hottest guitars in the world and it's top of the top and we won't see anything better for a long time. These are young guitarists who are pushing this instrument forward. This is a fresh new sound and unbelievable virtuosity of this instrument.
As for the video itself, it's all right there, the music, the atmosphere and the imagery. For me personally, in this clip there is even an incredible symbiosis of electric and acoustic guitar. They both play their solos and Tim's nylon doesn't interfere with Marcin's metal and vice versa, and in the sequence where they play together they are even one and we get a completely new sound that blends into one, but to do this you need outstanding talent and incredible technical skills. At the end, Martin's guitar complains that Tim's guitar, which can be heard in the background, is leaving and this also shows the intention of this composition.
I heard this composition at Marcin's concert and probably fans will kill me here, but this composition is only possible as a solo by Marcin, which is also already on YT, or only with Tim. That's why I'm waiting when both musicians will perform it live together. Maybe one day it will happen.
    Greetings from Poland.

Feels like the larger hand movements are also partly because a fair amount of classical Spanish guitar also strikes the body for the percussion sound. Having the large, sweeping hand/arm movements let you hit those notes easier, while keeping your hand around the fret would make that harder.

Fantastic. Tim just gave an interview and said the next album they are inviting a lot of musicians to collab, and I hope Marcin is one, we need more. Babymetal has signed on, that will be wild.

You mentioned at the start this sounded like Tim's style, but Marcin wrote this song in 2021.. of course, I'm sure he worked with Tim to implement his style into the song as well.
I love the effect with the red filter/black clothing, and blue filter/white clothing.. so many intricacies to catch in this video.
I'd advise watching the other video where Marcin plays only his part of the song alone, it really helps you see exactly what he contributed within the song, down to the base notes.
    Great reaction, thank you.

That's why Marcin invited Tim because it was inspired by the band's G.O.A.T. by Polyphia (which Tim is a member of, btw) Now you try to listen. Not a hater, I love them both.😊

Dlatego czekam kiedy obaj muzycy wykonają go razem na żywo. Może kiedyś to się zdarzy.
P.S. piszę po polsku bo w angielskim robię dużo błędów. Pozdrawiam z Polski.

I just want to point this out because I'm a big Marcin and Tim Henson fan. The only instruments in this video are the two guitars being played, all of the drums was done by Marcin on his guitar.
Edit: I cant believe you missed Marcin scratching the taint! That to me was the wildest part of the song, when Marcin hit the strings behind the nut. Something as unique as that deserves some recognition, I've never heard another guitar player doing that in a way that sounds like it fits.
Final edit: So I've pretty much reacted to the video with you at this point. One thing I love that you pointed out is Tim's economy of motion. Polyphia songs are already difficult to cover, but I find that to get a true cover you need to be capable of matching the writer's hands' energy while playing. With Tim that's difficult because he's so tight with his movement, it's easy to hit the string too hard or tap too softly. He's extraordinarily deliberate with the delivery of each note, and at the speeds he commonly plays it's really hard to fully enunciate each note the way he does.

Of course it was phenomenal! It was Marcin!!! The best guitarist 🎸 in the world. Tim is awesome as well, but i think Marcin can play circles around him. The training Marcin has had is more indepth. But I can see them learning from each other. Regardless, this song is so beautiful.
Question...do you think there was a message in the way they dressed? White clothes during the day and black at night? Then white again. Is it a struggle between good and evil? Or just showing day and night? Or, am I just seeing something that is not there? I'm leaning towards the good/evil thing myself. Did you notice in the last scene where Marcin was sitting in the chair dressed in white...he had one black shoe on. That's why I think there is something to the black/white thing. Check it out.
Hope you are doing well. Sending you love from Texas!!❤❤

when your talking about tims right hand the technique hes using is called thumping in this case i believe its quintuplets he has a video that breaks it down its super weird for me as a mostly electric player and not doing a whole lot of figer style but once i got it sorta down its almost like having a pick on your thumb without nails very versatile technique and defiantly worth learning

    @Temple Music Academy;
Your assessment, description with Tim Henson's efficient "minimalist" right movement, use with finger-style picking is correct, useful, helpful, beneficial for teaching purposes.
However, Your attempt with using Tim's right hand finger-style picking to Marvin Petrzalek within this composition, is invalid. The incorrect, invalid aspect with the comparison are improper:
    A. Marcin is producing finger-style picking along with percussive, both through the right hand, finger, palm, thus requires the extensive movements, Period. Simple
    B. Notice the final scene with Marcin alone using a classical guitar, playing only finger-style using one of the classical guitar methods he was trained within his initial few years, reaching mastery, maestro, virtuoso level
1, Marcin's expert, maestro, virtuoso level is clearly noticeable within a video available within this platform at age 13, just three years from beginning, performing Paganini Caprice No. 24 [all were written for violin] along with other classical pieces
    2. also seen within Paganini Caprice No. 5 performed on his Acoustic which also includes his percussive and Flamingo additions
    C. Marcin studied, trained with an expert, world renown Flamingo guitarist for about two years
    D. By 15 years old Marcin began winning guitar competitions with his developed, unique, "Experimental Percussive Finger-Style" Guitar arrangements.
You will benefit to know more about Marcin by reading his short biography, viewing all available, posted videos of Marcin from Classical, Flamingo, Experimental Percussive Finger-Style including his posted, arranged, creative, expressive, recorded, edited videos which include all of his 'official' videos via his channel.

I may be the odd one out here, but I dislike Marcin's playing here. Specially from this video and the contrast with Tim's playing. I don't discredit his skill AT ALL. His live performance is SO much better to watch. In this video there's quite a lot of unnecessary flailing around meaninglessly. I guess some people appreciate the showmanship. But when put in contrast with Tim, who displays a lot of accuracy and "correct" technique in this video, Marcin looks a bit eh...
