Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith discuss if Dwight Howard makes the Lakers the favorite in the Western Conference. Watch more videos like this at www.espnamerica.com
its really a shame. this team couldve been great if dwight and nash were healthy but it wasnt surprising that they werent considering howard was coming off of a back surgery and nash was close to retirement.
Man the league has changed. Trading wings for bigs was a no brainer only 7 years ago WOW. "You can replace Iguodala, what you can't get is 7,1 290pounds"
It turns out now that Skip was fucking right! And If I was Smith and I'd watch this shit now I would shot myself in the head. There goes his credibility, with that laugh about spurs
Skip looks like a prophet here with the benefit of hindsight, he said the Dwight move wouldn’t work, he said patty mills was solid and that the Spurs were the team to beat. It’s bizarre that this is the same guy who said/says Johnny manziel, Tim tebow and baker mayfield will all be world beaters.
it wasnt that far fetched back then. they were the 8th seed the year before and were receiving bynum who looked like he could be the next top center in the nba. unfortunately bynum had injury issues and so basically the 76ers lost allstar andre iguodala for nothing.
skip got it right andrew bynum was bout to pass dwight but philly killed his knees, put injections that interfered with german treatment. imagine bynum healthy no process in philly
@@nizzam1 in case u didnt know. Kobe dominated the spurs 4-1 when they were in their prime in 2008 when the lakers didnt even have artest dwight or nash. Tim was 37yrs old and ginobli was 36 in 2013. They were a shell of themselves. 2008 spurs were better than 2013 spurs and they nearly beat heat in 6 had bosh and allen not come thru in the clutch.
@@saidsuka184 How would the heat smoke the lakers when they had to go 7 games to beat spurs n the spurs had game 6 in the bag til allen busted the greatest shot in playoff history.
@@bballah4lyfe about matchups and with your logic the Spurs would’ve beat the lakers with Kobe anyway because lakers were trash that whole year and was barely beating bad teams when he tore his Achilles
Wow Skip should archive this video forever. He called it on the Spurs
He also said Andrew Bynum would be better then Howard
daquan beamon Bynum was definitely a better Lakers than Dwight
Tev 2x he said better player overall
He should . He also predicted the lakers big three wouldn’t work
@@daquanbeamon2635 Bynum was better than Dwight in 2012.
Funny how Stephen A was laughing at skip saying the Spurs were the team to beat in the west even tho that was the season they went to the finals
Brian Pena to be fair the Thunder were better that year.
@@thatleftyjames2893 no they weren't
IKER MAN yes they were. They won more games in the regular season and lost because Westbrook was hurt.
Thatleftyjames They lost to the spurs the year after with everyone healthy lol.
Spurs swept lakers that year. Ray Allen and dwade saved lebrick. Pop Rob Duncan of finals MVP taking him out
Miss this first take
“I have never smoked in my life!” These two had great chemistry.
Skip a prophet
Man I love Max but I miss the way Stephen A used to talk with Skip “YOUR SMOKING SOMETHING” 😂😂😂😂😂
Skip was right
SiiT d0wN s0n lol no Bynum is ass
its really a shame. this team couldve been great if dwight and nash were healthy but it wasnt surprising that they werent considering howard was coming off of a back surgery and nash was close to retirement.
Looking back at more and more of skips old takes he was right a lot.
Except for Tim Tebow
And lebron
And RG3
And Carmelo
Etc

Skip's a legend for a reason
It turns out now that Skip was fucking right! And If I was Smith and I'd watch this shit now I would shot myself in the head. There goes his credibility, with that laugh about spurs
This version of First Take is good and quite watchable, unlike the clown show that today's First Take has now become.
Stephen A was SOOOOO wrong on this one cuz the Spurs were the number 1 seed team
No they weren't. The Thunder was.
No
It was okc/spurs in the conference finals that year
this is first time I agree with Skip Bayless
Skip was dead on lol
Until he said Andrew Bynum would be better
As a lakers fan they never should have never done this trade
that patty oatty and tiaaaaagooo spitter should should be the nexte steve proter-mix

"sixers top 3 team in the east" stephen a smith ..LOL SMH
OBXTarheel91 well they definitely are now #SkipTrustedTheProcess

“Threat to the heat” lol
The Spurs were I mean they went to 7 games.
Skip was right on this one, but then said Andrew Bynum was a good addition to sixers 🤦🏾♂️
At the time bynum was coming off an all star season
skip is always right
Particularly when compared to the receding hairline buffoon
Dang

Its funny now but back then they actually thought that Lakers team would reach the finals.
NAOO! 0:23
One of the few times skip was right. And I’m a laker fan
First take was much more fun with skip
skip got it right andrew bynum was bout to pass dwight but philly killed his knees, put injections that interfered with german treatment. imagine bynum healthy no process in philly
😅😅skip actually was right squrs we’re good
This video aged very well skip 😂😂
Damn it Skip was right!!! #GoSpursGo Patty Mills still with the Spurs
I hate skip but he made the other 2 look dum after that prediction 😂
they did come to regret the Bynum trade
PATTY PATTY SAY MY NAME!!!
PEAK FIRST TAKE
5:55 I'm real discrete....
Skip was right. And Didnt even know about Leonard
Ironically both players were total busts on both the Lakers and 76ers. Bynum sounds bipolar from what Stephen A describes.
lol sixers being a top 3 team
Stephen A used to be both fun and funny. Now he’s always serious and needs sleep.
Haha Skip was actually right.
Skip really isn't as wrong as yall like to pretend he is
Forward to June 2019. SAS was 100% full of 💩 with his Lakers 2nd best team in the west
76ers top 3 team in east haha
Stephen a looked so weak in this
Ryan Holland wanna b jus joke u Brody
Lol.....
Skip was right. Lakers didn’t do jack. Spurs went to the NBA Finals and fell just short to the Heat.
Sad how kobe tore his Achilles. Otherwise it would have been Lakers vs Heat in the finals. Kobe 6 ringsss
Knight Rydah lmao as Stephen a says “stay of the weeeeeed”
They wasn’t coming out the west stop or Miami would’ve smoked them
