With a video like this you’d expect a title like “I SHUT DOWN AN ILLEGAL GAMBLING COMPANY!!” With a thumbnail of the police and a bunch of effects and arrows. This was a nice refresher from that kind of content. A completely normal title and thumbnail but an absolute gem as far as the actual content. Great video and presentation

reporting it isn't going to change anything. little nooks like that are everywhere & another one will just open up somewhere else if there isn't already one down the street. shit's been going on for decades getting a place like that shut down is like incarcerating people for drug offenses, it's only moving the problem somewhere else. meaning the problem not only still exists while the deeper/realer problem isn't being addressed.

I've seen it in big businesses and government buildings. The cafeteria will be contracted/rented out to someone who effectively runs it as their own, independent little restaurant. -the futility present in buying the pizza and it turning out horrible
not to mention other common themes like despair and madness, crime (duh), a blasé nature about organized crime, a stretch but the city cafe lady could count as a femme fatale of sorts? there are also many different characters and, in all reality, this makes for an amazing insight onto american life.

I didn’t expect a criminal investigation, this way way more entertaining than I anticipated
My boyfriend and I did this but we sort of knew what we were getting into. We ended up with a weird subway-like experience but with pasta. We watched icy bowls of pasta be cooked up with our choices of free sauce, free veggie toppings, and a surprising variety of meat. Only had soda cans. The place was completely empty and had like, 2 sets of cheap tables and chairs. It was the best pasta I had in a long while.

honestly sometimes places like that r the best, so many of the best restaurants i’ve been to r the smallest joints that don’t even have a soda fountain so u gotta get cans from a nearby fridge, but the actual food itself is a banger and it’s miraculously only prepared by like, a small family of ppl who just genuinely love their craft
if those places that i’ve been to r fronting for something illegal, i may just let them get away with it cuz 1) they actually provide me with good food and 2) their crimes aren’t Blatantly In Ur Face like lucky’s diner LMAO
@@miasmicdaydream In my city there's a few places like that right beside eachother owned by the same 3 people super sketchy, the titles to the companies keep getting switched around and the few times I happen to talk with one of the owners in particular he's always talking about how his brother in law works in financial regulation and gives him stock tips every so often but god none of those places ever dissapoint. Cheap, crappy chairs and tables, low prices, dirty toilets, great, fantastic food.
By the far the most entertaining video I've ever seen, like how on earth did this go from reviewing 0 reviewed places, to literally turning into sherlock holmes and discovering an illegal gambling gas station
This video is an incredible lesson on storytelling. It has all the elements of a great horror story: an unsuspecting hook, the unassuming image, and the implications of danger and malice.
Let’s start with the hook. This video is titled about places with 0 reviews. You click the video, you expect to find weird places with 0 reviews, probably in horrible quality. There might be a few pleasant surprises, but that’s all you expect. A couple of weird, off-putting shops. It’s a premise that pulls you in casually, something you might put on while you’re eating or drawing. It doesn’t let you in on the fact that it will be something darker.
Secondly, the unassuming image. I use ‘image’ to refer to the start and the normal treatment of everything else. What stake does something terrifying have if we don’t know the character? The setting? The norm? Giving the story time to teach the audience what the tone you want it to be viewed through, it sets up a beautiful, complete expectation subversion later on. Seeing the park and Coy just messing around on the equipment is silly, goofy even. You’re expecting the rest of the video to be of a similar tone, revolving mainly around these places. When talking about the hook, you can talk about clickbait and expectations in a different way, as in it is the judgement of something not yet seen. However, the ‘image’ is actual content, something you’re experiencing.
Last, let’s discuss the implications of something scarier. When Coy enters Lucky’s “Diner”, he is greeted with something completely different than he was expecting, but it doesn’t seem to be all that concerning yet. We see what one can safely assume to be an old restaurant converted into a slot machine place. The Google Review site is probably out of date. But, once Coy questions Lucky himself, the implication of something worse rears its head. Lucky’s answers are dodgy at best, avoidant and downright dismissive. He doesn’t want anyone to know what’s really going on. Coy tries to move on, but gets drawn back into the real meat of this video: the allure of mystery. Provide the reader with something they *want* to know, something they’ll have to work for.
This video, at a first glance, would be seen as a normal review post, but in reality, when you examine its parts, you can see it add up into the template example of a spooky story.

The classic abilities of generation Z being able to uncover any information online they want to at will ❤I came here expecting a funny video rating places with zero reviews, found a diamond and left astonished. The plot lines, wow. The train tracks scene? 10/10. Throughout the video I was in utter disbelief how there was no clickbaits and the title didn't even MENTION the illegal gambling ring. The humor of this guy is also so funny and genuine. This is the most hooked I’ve been to a video for so long. It had the twists, it had the turns, it had the foreshadowing and the flashbacks. Incredible storytelling. Better than the movies I’m tellin ya. I’ll be revisiting this channel many more times.

I had a similar experience like LUCKYS Diner. Late one night I wanted boba, Googled the nearest place. I went to the door, felt locked and dark tinted windows (pretty weird for a boba shop) eventually someone opened the door for me and it was a bar with grown men smoking and playing pool. I just turned around quick and went to 7 eleven instead.

As a truck driver I came across a lot of factories and distribution centers on google maps that were for some reason labeled as restaurants or some kind of public business. I'm guessing thats how you wound up at that soup factory. Though usually they have a bunch of reviews with useful info for truck drivers to get in and out.

Although not the most interesting part of the video… Piccadilly Circus Pizza IS gas station pizza. They’re a brand that provides a “pizza solution” specifically for convenience stores. I imagine that gas station used to serve it and made a restaurant listing for it… for some reason. They’re partially rebranded as PCPizza and are part of OLM, a pizza distributor.
I’ve had it before and can confirm it’s “fine”. Tastes like freezer pizza.

Worked at a site where a guy retired and set up a little diner in an unused prefab. Better and cheaper than the canteen. Free coco in the winter and he'd smoke up a killer brisket some weekends. 5/5 stars.
