    3. Stay 4 days in Kruger National Park (Lion Sands Lodge)
    4. Skukuza to Cape Town

I’m South African and I’ve done Safaris in five different countries but it’ll be my first time in Maasai Mara (Kenya) and the Serengeti (Tanzania). So I’ve worn all different kinds of proper Safari shoes and I never thought of Timberlands so because of your video I just bought some! Thanks to you dear. They must give you a deal. ❤

Great video. We are finally going to Krueger (Lion Sands) in Sept for our honeymoon. Been postponed 3xs. Super excited. How'd you bring a hard luggage with wheels? We've been told a small soft sided duffel bag with no wheels. Has to fit in the small bush plane. Any other tips? Can't wait!

Oh thats fantastic! You'll have the most amazing time. Re your luggage - we flew directly from Johannesburg to Kruger airport and there were no restrictions on bag type. The plane is small but you can bring a small suitcase (just nothing more than a small bag/backpack on board). You'll be picked up from the Kruger airport so having luggage is totally fine. Is this your travel agency telling you this or Lion Sands? Lion Sands was so so great - they don't overlook any details and you will feel so well looked after. I just looked up the weather in September in Kruger and it looks like the highs can be 31 (87.8F) and lows of 14 (57.2F) so I still think layering will be important. Make sure you have a good sun hat and a good camera handy :) My husband was experiencing a bit of hayfever so if you suffer from allergies remember to bring some medicine with you. There isn't much of a pharmacy or anything at the resort, however the staff gave him some medicine which was really sweet of them. Please say hi to Sue (she will probably greet you at the hotel) and our guides were Albert and Mishak (they were amazing). Patrick will probably be serving you your meals and his wife Pinky is an absolute sweetheart. They are like family and will treat you like family - that is how it felt. You will see incredible animals, up close. You'll go on 2 game drives - morning and evening. In the morning it might be a bit chilly but be prepared to strip off your layers when it gets to around midday as it will get hot. Its a bit dusty driving on the road and occasionally you might have to use the bush to go to the bathroom (the guides will find a safe place!). Otherwise - pls ask me any questions and I hope you have the best time! You will!

@@JuliaKimMurphy thanks for all the info. We booked with Lion World Travel and they told me about the luggage restriction. I'm so excited to stay at Tinga Lodge with one night in the treehouse. Did you tip daily or just at the end? We want to also bring San Diego specific gifts for everyone since that's where we live. Did you also visit a school? We are doing that one day in-between game drives. Capetown town should also be a nice visit. Planning on seeing the penguins and cage dive. So excited!

@@tiffanyriley3162 sounds great Tiffany! We stayed at the River Lodge. Do you have a contact at Lion Sands? We booked direct with them and they didnt say anything about the luggage restrictions. Maybe worth checking. We tipped at the end - they will give you a form and you can allocate the tips to different people. Aparently it takes a while to get the tips through the system so we also bought a bottle of wine for one of the restaurant staff for her birthday separately. Didnt visit a school but that should be a cool experience. We also visited cape town and did a roadtrip to cape of good hope and saw the penguins. I have the videos on my channel if you wanted to have a look.
