- Welcome! These comedy clips are from a large video collection that is now being converted from VHS/Beta to digital. There is some viewing quality loss from the original video source due to the age of the tapes, but the performances are preserved and still a joy to view.

"italian women don't die, they just shrink out of existence" lmaoooo
Even at this stage of her career, you knew Lea was going places. Awesome. bold, and funny as hell. xo
My hero but she definitely took a few bumps before this
"Every day of my life somebody calls me sir, and the worst was at the gynecologist's office!"
🤣🤣🤣
The FIRST openly gay standup on TV. The chutzpah on this one! Were all indebted! 🔥🌈💪
Lea Delaria should have been the leader of lesbian women.
Damn right she should've been. I'd take her over Rosie any day.
She’s the best part of Orange is the new black
Yes, appoint her to the high council!
She's a freak.
Obsessed with her look.
“I invited her here tonight because of what she does standing up, not what she does laying down.” That's powerful. Yeah, no matter what she does laying down, it doesn't take anything away from what she does standing up. She's hilarious :)
LOVE LEA DELARIA WITH ALL MY HEART AND ALWAYS WILL
She walked a whole 2 miles on that stage
She reminds me of young Josh peck
She is so cute ❤️
Eww
@@charliebrown4035 u are the one ewww
I have so much love for this woman, she's legendary... ❤️
Love her. Just wish she would hold still.
Dear Young People: In context of the year [ Arsenio Hall timeline - was it the beginning or end of the 1980's? * EDIT: 1993 ], Lea Delaria being out was ahead of the pack for being out on broadcast t.v. We were out like that since the late 1970's, but nobody had gotten onto mainstream media about it. This was maybe a decade before Ellen DeGeneres [edit:1997] and Rosie O'Donnell [2002] and Melissa Etheridge [Edit: earlier or same] went public. Maybe Sandra Bernhardt started rumors by being provocative with Madonna about going to The Cubbyhole, but even that was probably later, on Letterman. KD Laing perhaps then though! I am trying to remember even the timeline of fictional out major film releases. We had independent film festivals. We knew about Lily Tomlin and Jane Wagner, but that was "Entre Nous" then. If I was diligent, I would write the dates for all the women out, but it is searchable. The book The Celluloid Closet denotes earlier time and doesn't cover all media of pop culture. We had GLAD, so maybe they have an archive (Gay and Lesbian Anti-Defamation).[Written on You Tube 2019 and just off the cuff without research by a lesbian out since teen in 1975-7 and into perpetuity.]
@Gab17 D Thanks, but I was too off the cuff. I wanted to explain the energy of her stand up though, because that wouldn't be the same deal today. That was early for broadcast t.v. Found another clip from this same show; Oopsie, so it was 1993 date determined by the talk of national lgbtq march on Washington, DC during Clinton administration in other part of interview. (She was 34-35 in 1993.) KD Lang was out at least by 1992 in The Advocate, but in a gender bending role before that in film "Salmonberries." Melissa Etheridge out in song 1993. DeGeneres coming out episode was 1997. Rosie O'Donnell out to public later - in 2002.
tldr; this was a pretty big cultural step forward for the time
Wait so is Lea Delaria a lesbian?
Is the Pope a Catholic?
@@tami8458 HAHA!!!
@@tami8458 Not technically, no.
Nah I thinks shes straight
My God I fell in love with this woman the second I laid eyes on her 😍😍😍
Me too. 'Cause I know her as Carrie from Netflix's Orange is The New Black. And by the way, Lea is so much better than her doppelganger Rosie O'Donnell.
@@dannythomas417 Well I like Rosie a lot too, I found her funny in The Flintstones, The L Word and Tarzan, but Lea's style is a lot more open and daring, and like I said, she's drop dead gorgeous 😍😍 As a comedian, she kind of reminds me of George Carlin 😅😅
@@TDKiller415 Yeah, well she reminds me a bit of Chris Farley.
@@dannythomas417 I never really saw much of Farley, I was always more of a John Candy fan. Farley was the one who died while doing Shrek, right? I think it was him, but he died halfway through so they got Mike Myers to start again. Could be wrong. 🤔
@@TDKiller415 ohhhhh nailed it with the Carlin reference - love it
AMAZING

Holy shit! This bitch killed it!! Come thru 2020!!

For those that don't have love for them,
Just because you're not FOR them doesn't mean you have to be AGAINST them!
She will be done soon After Trump wins .
