THOR Soundtrack: Yggdrasil (closing titles)

Calm down.
I know that there is no music track called "Yggdrasil" on the Soundtrack. I named it that because on most versions of this soundtrack, the music during the end credist is MISSING as in: not part of the soundtrack. It IS on some versions of the soundtrack though, but labeled wrong. Most of you guys can find it as "Thor kills the destroyer", while the real music track during the destroyer scene is not part of the soundtracks AT ALL. Believe me, I checked.
Most soundtracks have a track called "Earth to Asgard" as Title 24 (the last track on the soundtrack album), but that is not the music from the credits, it's a remix of "Prologue" from the beginning of the movie.
See where I am going with this?
These are the real end credits and since we get to see Yggdrasil while the virtual camera flies through the stars, I called it that.

HAIL!! And poster is RIGHT. This IS the true end music to Thor, as the camera flies through the Rainbow bridge throughout all of Yggdrasil, the Nine Realms. Period!

I really think that the music for Thor was underrated. It was brilliant, and yet, no one has acknowledged it!
I can't describe it properly but there is something about this piece of music (nay, the entire soundtrack even) that goes straight to the neurons in my brain responsible for pleasure and repeatedly tells them "You. Will. LOVE. This!" every single time I hear it. I adore it when music does that to me...
Listening to this theme as they show Yggdrasil in all its glory during the end credits makes me tear up everytime. Just so damned epic and beautiful.

I've just been introduced to the Marvel films, and not going to lie, I'm really old school in terms of what I like. Have to say that my favourites so far have been Thor (I have a soft spot for those fish out of water situations) and Guardians of the Galaxy (which is where I've gotten up to). Probably the fact Bo Welch did the design work may have influenced it, but this score is so uplifting!

The Loki mythos portrays him as having a benign mischievious side and a truly evil side. From the cutting of Sif's hair to his part in the murder of Balder. I think the character developed quite nicely from one facet to the other in the movie: from level headed but cunning trickster in the beginning to implacable nemesis in the end.

I think there should be extra Oscars for brilliant opening and ending credits. I mean - the Thor credits were so beautiful, the composer and the special effects guys really outdid themselves. Same goes for most Marvel movies. I still remember the intro of the first one of Raimi's Spidey movies with all the artwork they created - itw as brilliant.
I'm glad I'm not the only one... This theme was embedded into my mind!! Of all things to remember, I remember the Views of Asgard with this theme as the end creds roll!!
Yes, there are a growing number of soundtrack nerds out there now! I started collecting soundtracks when I was about 9 years old with SUPERMAN: THE MOVIE. Patrick Doyle's accompaniment to THOR is, in my opinion, the best of all the Marvel Studios films so far, although Brian Tyler's work on IRON MAN 3 and THOR 2 are close runners up. Your observation that soundtrack titles are not always labeled as they appeared in the film, and your diligence in sorting this out will bring you glory and fame among other soundtrack diehards. Thanks for posting! (PS - I am not a musician as such, although I have studied violin, and my brother is a professional violinist and recording artist. We're on your side against those who have not done their homework as carefully. : D

Thanks for uploading this cause I'd already mistaken the other cue as the ending music after I saw this movie, and I almost listen to that for 2 months , in order to imagine the space scenes of the ending of Thor. It's ridiculous and now I finally find that it's fake memory, just like the movie "Inception", haha~!

Hooray for soundtrack nerds! Thanks! I just put together all the scores from all the Avengers movies in a playlist (in chronological order according to storyline, so hail from one nerd to another,) and Thor's score would have been completely missing something without this. Why did they mess with it like that, I wonder? Somebody dropped the ball I think. Speaking of soundtrack nerds, why do you think The Incredible Hulk tracks are only getting about 2000 views? It's awesome suspense music!

Okay. AGAIN for the hearing impared. Track TWENTY is NOT the piece used in the actual destroyer scene. Start the movie (I am doing this slowly so you can keep up), go to the destroyer scene and LISTEN. After the first few seconds the main theme ends and an entirely differnet piece is used. You know the scene when everyone things Thor is dead and the hammer flies into his hand? Yes? LISTEN carefully and you will find out that after a few seconds, the music is NO longer track 20.

I don't think we've been out far enough to see that, but the tree in the credits was based off real nebulas and star clusters. Outer space is at least as beautiful as it looked in Thor. :D

Yeah i agree with kymusashi, cuz in the movie, this is the version they use in the pre-credit cosmos scene. "Thor Kills the Destroyer" sounds completely different. This version played here is the actual movie mix at the end..its like a "suite" in a way.

I don't really think so. Those two are defenitely two different pieces. The first few cords of the arrangements are the same, but after that they are very different. Even when Thor "pulls the cyclone in", it's not really the same, since they leave a lot out and arrange it differently to fit the short sequence they have to fill. It's not just shorter, but edited from the get go. So no, they are not the same.

It's actually "Thor Kills the Destroyer" on the soundtrack ... I finally listened to the whole thing to figure it out because it made no sense that such epic noise would be uncredited. That said ... this really is one of the best bit of music ever for making your erector pilli muscles work ... awesome fucking job, Mr. Doyle.

Raiden was a clever and versatile kombatant but was completely overpowered by Thor's strength.
It also didn't help that Raiden's main weapon, electricity, was completely useless. Add in Thor's hammer and GAME OVER!
+Jeffrey Gao Remember, Mjolnir was forged in the core of a dying star. When a star dies, it collapses into a supercondensed neutron star. Even the smallest portion of this star can weigh a million tonnes. Raiden stood very little chance against a blow like that.

It's not labeled wrong. It partially plays during the sequence when Thor is regaining his powers and we see the reactions of The Warriors Three, Sif, Jane, and Selvig. Then changes when Thor creates the cyclone to pull The Destroyer in.
