Loved the talk. Especially the influence of colonialism. Also, one can draw many parallels between what Sai as a Hindu (Brahmin) has gone through in his younger days with what many Hindus in Kashmir have been through. Some things resonated so much and surprisingly I had no idea that all this happened down South too.

Excellent discussion Amina Ansari Begam and Khalid Baig and I agree with Sai Deepak Iyer J should have happened long ago.
Listened to the conversation with immense pride for the answers coming from Sai, how he, a 90s generation, 7-8 years younger than me started observing the "Narratives" and wondered about the source and how to unravel it. As I said, the book India that is Bharat - Coloniality, Civilisation, Constitution gradually produced chinks in my Eurocentric thinking, the awe of Enlightenment values, the fascination with Renaissance, etc. Now everything goes through the skeptical lens of "am I looking at this from my conditioned, colonised mind?"
This book was needed, delighted the second one "India, Bharat and Pakistan - The Constitutional Journey of a Sandwiched Civilisation" arrives tomorrow. I hope you complete your trilogy, Sai. So pleased to see questions turning up in UPSC papers, interviews, discussions, college debates, and even school declamations. speeches (I'm trying my best with the political science, humanities batches).
No bookshelf will be complete without the trilogy and the Series I am anticipating you will eventually produce. Immense pride in owning the books, which I feel are the start of the literature from the Empire pushing back! Already scores of youth want to relearn, unlearn and imbibe your oratorical skills with the logic and rationality you do so well.
Congratulations on the launch tomorrow, it is already a best seller!
Blessings from the Jambudveepa (Jammu & Kashmir) - it was affirming to hear you confirm why J&K is integral to the Indic Civilisation since ancient times.

      2) There are very few theological texts (possibly because they were chilled out folks and had no interest in codification harshly to a specific society) explaining the Purvapaksha of Charvaka Darshan / Insights.
There are plenty of stories from Mahajanapadhs that has been passed down since generations containing few section of society as Charvakas.
They quite didn't take the Indic day to day rituals seriously.
What they stood for is the Materialistic Dimensional Reality (Perception and Individual Analysis) as a mainstream Pramanam and Sanathan Dharma's role to safeguard it.

WOW!!!! 😲😲😲 What a discussion. What a session!!! 🔥🔥🔥 Immediately subscribed to your channel after watching this. Since independence, everything that could go wrong, went wrong with our country. And the way Sai Deepak ji brought out those nuances and clarified the origins of a lot of things that were unfortunately forced on us, is a treat to witness. So much to say and so much to think about. Thank you for this. ❤️❤️❤️ P. S:- I don't believe in the nonsense of secularism as part of my own decolonial drive. But I do believe in good human beings who can accept the truth, and discuss further on them, in the same spirit. Khalid and Aamna ji are the shining examples of that humanism. ❤️❤️ We need more matured people like them who can not only accept the truth, but also discuss about them to understand the nature of things that we are dealing with, as a civilization. Keep up the good work. 👍👍👍

44:48 Agree with Amana. Now there is realization among a section of Hindus that blaming others is wrong. First we have to rectify our own thought process and develop clarity.
47:57 On enlightenment, J Sai Deepak changed my views. I need to read some more on this topic. Although i agree, what the West claimed to be universal values cannot be universal unless every culture and community find a middle ground through debate.
Next time on the topic of 'secularization of European local values to market it as universal', please ask J Sai Deepak if that is also applicable on Yoga. Because for Yoga two things are currently happening. Evangelists are trying to digest it as Christian Yoga. On the other hand to improve soft power, Indian government is trying to secularize it for universalization. On this, Rajiv Malhotra said that to make sure that Yoga helps India's soft power but in the process never loses it's Indic Hindu roots is by adding a red pill when transferring the knowledge of Yoga to someone who is not from Dharmic tradition. This has to be done so that our Intellectual Property doesn't gets stolen or appropriated by others.
1:03:07 On standards setting, i like to add that less research and poor outcomes made us stay away from setting global standards in various tech and engineering field. In my view, UPI is our golden ticket with respect to mobile payments to push and universalize our standards. There is another technology called Beckn Protocol that if properly pushed can become modern alternative to many US developed communication protocols used around the world. Basically instead of catch up, we have to develop something new and revolutionary from ground up. That way we can find our rightful place at global standards setting organization as an equal.

Wonderful points. I am really puzzled on the question about yoga. If we don't want secularized Christian values how can we support marketing of yoga via secularisation. One probable answer is yoga infact is not hindu but bhartiya. Its not religious it is civilisational product. What do you have to say about it ?
(i am just a beginner i don't have much knowledge on these issues so plz let me know if i made childish or silly points)

    • @surabhikashyap241
      @surabhikashyap241 Před rokem

@@rupendrasharma6291 First of all we need to understand that Indic traditions are fluidic in nature. I will not use the word religion in Dhramic context. Bharat and Hindu are two side of the same coin. Without one, other cannot exist. I will make you understand in modern context. ISRO developed SLV-3 for satellite launch. DRDO used SLV-3 for missile launch. In context of ISRO, SLV-3 is a satellite launch vehicle. In DRDO context, it's a missile. Yoga is like that, it is both civilizational and part of Hindu tradition. Secularizing it doesn't changes its origin and roots as long as Hindus control the intellectual property which we should.

1:03:54 I agree with Amana's sentiment. The inventer or the innovator of a certain technology thinks first of his own interests. But the point here is that we must realise that this is not limited to the field of technology. It includes ideas like "secularism", "modernism" "humans rights", " international law", "development" etc. They are defined by certain people for their own selfish benefit.
