After Many Years Of Research By Some Of The Top Minds In The World,, It Has Been Concluded That This Is The Happiest Song Ever Written & Recorded.đ
Its also been voted Happiest Song several times.
True
Just ask Baby Groot... ;)
Whilst I agree, I have to say that for a brief moment, just as lockdown was lifted, All Over The World meant everything
@@DazzleMonroe Understood & Agreed.
Elo is legendary and they are unbelievable in Concert. I saw them in 2019 and when they played âMr Blue Skyâ it brought me to tears it was so beautiful. It might have been the rum too, but it was an awesome experience so if you get the chance to see ELO in concert, do it !,
Saw them perform with Deep Purple in 1974, fantastic concert.
That final vocoder / voice box phrase right at the end . . . @8:04 . . . a lot of people think it says "Mr Blue Sky" . . . but it actually says "please turn me over" as it was the final song on that side of the vinyl album.
I love that!
I'm 10 it's 1977 my grandmothers neighbor's kid come over and asked if I wanted to listen to records I was only 10 but I thought sure this was the first album he pulled out I listed to ELO with him and his sister all afternoon and fell in love with this band and the cover art.
Nice! I took my copy of "Out of the Blue" to a party when I was a kid and someone else swapped out one of the records for Meat Loaf "Bat Out of Hell" -- both discs had orange centers so I think it was an honest mistake, but maybe not! [grin]
I wish I was there, was born in 2001 but I made a very bad version of the song a couple years back for the sake of recognising the parts
The switchup at the end is due to Mr. blue Sky being the last song in a 4 song suite called concerto for A Rainy day-which is basically the entire side 3 of the album Out Of the blue. The music changes from sad and lonely "Standin In The Rain" to the happy, bright "mr. Blue Sky."
Exactly
Telophine Line gotme hooked, standing in the Rain yesss
I blasted the double LP when Mom was at work. She LOVED them I was 15 she was 60! I got mad at my brother for forgetting my birthday, I went to bed, slid my arm under my pillow and Whoa, What???? The double album!!!!!
ELO is just something special. I can still recall the ELO special on TV back when we had 3 channels. It was a treat back then.
đ
The letters of ELO are pronounced individually: Eee-Ell-Oh. This is my favorite of their vast collection and no band ever sounded like them before or after. They truly are a rock orchestra.
Very âBeatle-esqueâ, IMO. This is like the happy ending of a movie!
John Lennon referred to ELO as "Son of Beatles". George Harrison formed the Wilbury's with Jeff Lynne. Jeff Lynne was also the producer for the remaining Beatles with one of their very last albums - he was the only person they could all agree on.
It's the last movement of the "Concerto For A Rainy Day"
Jeff Lynne is a musical genius he's the guy wearing glasses in the Traveling Wilburys video you did. And he's the mastermind behind ELO
" Evil Woman "
" Turned To Stone "
" Don't bring Me Down " ââ„ïž
Groot! "Mr. Blue Sky" is a masterpiece. When you're ready for more from Electric Light Orchestra, check out "Turn To Stone", "Evil Woman", and "Showdown", among others.
PasĂ© mucho tiempo sin escuchar a ELO...casi habĂa olvidado lo maravillosos que son!!
De un tiempo a Ă©sta parte, los escucho casi diariamente.
Gracias amigo lindo!!! â€
From what I understand the story goes that Jeff went to Switzerland to write. It rained for 2 weeks straight. On day the sun came out. He said he went back and wrote 13 songs in 2 weeks. đ đ đ
When you were doing the traveling Wilburys song. The guy in the glasses was Jeff Lynne lead singer for, ELO.
This song makes me happy. Every single separate sound of it is happy. Put it all together & you can't help but smile. Just beautiful. Thank you. I needed this today.
Biz, thanks for hitting more of the awesome ELO, they rock! Next from them please react to their 1975 classic hit, *"Evil Woman".* You'll love it! (Use the original album studio version.)
ELO was my first concert. 1976 Lansing Civic Center. 3 standing ovations. 2 cellos, violin, keyboards, drums, guitars. Amazing show.

I remember this song as kid and thought: "the Beatles put out a new song!"
Then my older siblings gave me the album, was blown away by them and the artwork was so cool
An Absolute Classic From The Goat Himself,, Jimi Hendrix "The Wind Cries Mary"

Of The precious ELO, try "Tightrope", "Showdown" "So Fine" "All Over The World" "Last train to London" "Midnight Blue" "RocknRoll is King"
ELO picked up where the Beatles left off
Not at all. They were pretty basic.
I appreciate this song more than I used to. ELO always makes you happy. A lot of crowd dancing to them
The album this comes from, Out Of The Blue is one of the best albums of the 70s. Track by track it is perfection. It is a whole journey and just brilliant.
Thanks for the reaction! I love how much you love this band! Try Can't Get it Out of My Head and Sweet Talking Woman. So many more! Thanks for all you do!
Every song is an epic performance, Geoff Lynne is a Genius â€, '' Evil Woman '' and '' All Over the World '' are my favourites of theirs â€â€â€
I saw them live before I even knew who they were. I knew who they were after the show that blew my mind!! It was 1977 in San Francisco. â€ïžâïž
2:40 Best part right here. "Mister Blue, you did it right, but soon comes Mister Night, creepin over, now his hand is on your shoulder, nevermind, I'll remember you this way." Epic song, my musical pick-me-up for many years.
Love this song. So fun. I died when Guardians of the Galaxy 2 had Groot dance to this.
It's always a journey with ELO - great reaction, good to see appreciation. Try the diary of Horace wimp next by them, never seen that track reacted to by anyone before.
That smile! This song has always made me so happy!
Jeff Lynn, ELO - Traveling Wilburys, singer, song writer, guitarist, producer, talented fuckin dude!
"Fire on High" will take you on a JOURNEY.
đžđŻ ELO is such an incredibly good bandâŒđ„
Jeff Lynne is a multi-talented artist/performerâŒ
I think he was a great member of The Traveling Wilburys, tooâŒThanks BizMatikâŒâź †đ¶
El exquisito Rock SinfĂłnico!!â€â€â€â€â€â€
E - L - O Rocks! Love their songs!!! Their concerts were great! They had fantastic light shows!!!
Just wish you'd seen them at Wembley Stadium, 6,000 people at the concert!! It's on CZcams & just excellent to see!!
As a huge fan of ELO and this song in particular, I've seen a lot of reactions to it, and you, in my opinion, have given the best.
One of my happy songs. Love this amazing beautiful happy tune. I heard he was on vacation somewhere in Switzerland and the weather was awful and the last day he was there, it finally cleared up, and thatâs when he wrote the song.đ
Love the ending! So many changes!
Jeff Lynne and Electric Light Orchestra have quite a catalog of songs... enjoy them all boss!!!
Gotta love the âSwingle Singersâ imitation toward the end. đđđ
This song makes EVERYBODY happy.
Rock Opera! With electrified violins and violas and upright electrified bass. ELO: ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA. đđ You NAILED IT ON THIS ONE. IVE GOT A FIRST PRESS 2 VINYL OF THIS ALBUM.
This was featured in the Guardians of the Galaxy...they always have the best soundtracks
Next E.L.O. song should be "Roll Over Beethoven", an *epic* cover of the Chuck Berry classic. đ„
The FULL version, not the radio edit...
âI remember writing the words down,â Lynne told Rolling Stone in 2016. âI was at a chalet in the mountains of Switzerland and it was all misty and cloudy all the way around. I didnât see any countryside for the first four days or so, and then everything cleared and there was this enormous view forever and the sky was blue.â
The lyrics for âMr. Blue Skyâ spilled out shortly after the sun had broken through the clouds.
Lovely reaction and great analysis, was a pleasure watching! đđ
This song just makes you happy, love the ending too
Love ELO. Way underrated imo
One of my all time favorite songs.
It can be very emotional viewing/listening to a reaction, especially the latter half of this. I did not expect that, I guess that's the power of music and love of music, but it's also the respect you have for all music.
I do like the few nods to the Beatles on this, ie the breathing sound "running down the avenue" lifted from 'A Day in the Life'.
Magnificent happy song , ELO are incredible , you got it right with your comments
First time here...If they are a British band they may actually be talking about the weather in the UK which isn't always the best and I have seen and heard comments about when they have nice weather the skies are an amazing shade of blue. All the best to you and yours. PAB
You should watch it live and see how it is pulled off, Jeff Lynne has top notch musicians always up there on stage.
Song was written while he was in the Alps on Vaction. He was going through a nasty divorce and on morning he woke and the sun was bright and shining no.clounds it cheered him up immensely so he wrote a song about it
I am a dour man. And I know dour folks. Still dance like a 5 yo to this track. It's undeniable.
This is tied with The Beatles' "Yellow Submarine" as the ultimate mood lifter.
Just listening longer to your analogy. Very insightful! Good music is like a piece of art painting a picture, evoking emotion, etc.
"Having Those Lyrics" has made you miss a wonderful video, my friend. It's Beautiful.
Jeff Lynne (who comes from my home City of Birmningham, UK) is a musical genius and great producer. E.L.O. have loads of great songs, my favourite being 'All Over the World'. They sound just as good live (if not better) than on the studio versions of their song. It is not ELO (the way you said it sounds like hello without the 'h' it is E.L.O. which stands for Electric Light Orchestra.
This is my âupâ song when Iâm feeling low. Definitely dig deep in this group if you havenât .
This has been voted as the happiest song ever written
Last train to London, Rock n Roll is King, Telephone Line, Fire on High
You cannot help but feel happy when this song is on hopeful for better days , there is not 1 song that E.L.O have made that I don't like , they are up there with the greatest
You should really listen to the PMJ version featuring the lovely Allison Young. It's quite captivating.
SAW THEM IN HOUSTON O8-10-18 ! GREAT CONCERT đ
Feeling songs in terms of shapes and weird thoughts is ace!
Great reaction. All very well said.
It's funny you said aliens they had a stage that was flying saucer and when it opened the stage was inside
Love the way you call them "Ello" rather than E.L.O đđ
LOVE ELO!
đ E.L.O. !!! -Turn to Stone -All Over the World (flash-mob video) -Showdown -Tightrope -Roll Over Beethoven (cover) -Thanks!!!
Awesome band! Next up, âTurn to Stoneâ
My kids loved this song! They would sing it while they were going to the barn to bottle feed baby calves in the mornings during summer vacation. Happy times!
Such a feel-good song
My daughter (14) loves this song and sings along in the car and in the middle part she sings the âhey there mister blueâ and I sing the âskyyyyâ. Great way to start a school day on the morning drop off.
not around the world, its called "all over the world" ;-)
So glad you enjoyed one of our little classics. I can see that you so get it dude Thanks for listening. Bless you :-)
You envisioned aliens? You werenât too far off. Baby Groot danced to it at the beginning of Guardians Of The Galaxy 2.
I don't know about now, but back in the day ELI's stage was a spaceship awesome shows!!!
For you own enjoyment you should watch their Hyde Park video. It is truly worth it to watch the entire concert. It is amazing!!
Agreed. It's just a happy inspirational feel good song, breaking out like the sun after a period of doldrums.
Ayy, back with ELO! Awesome
Great reaction. Subscribed.
ROLL OVER BEETHOVAN-E.L.O. đ
You get it Star!
After Studying this for years Doctors say it's physically impossible to not like this song.
Think about this -ELO Is an Orchestra!!â€â€
This song is pure positivity in a bottle. Good mood music.
Ah damn, this one needed the official music video reaction instead. oh well, maybe next time
E L O, nuff said!!
Another banger of theirs with operatic elements is "Rockaria", you should give it a listen
You NEED to listen to then ENTIRE "Concerto for a Rainy Day" of which this song is a part. "Standing in the Rain, "Summer and Lightning" and "Big Wheels" are the other three songs. They go together.
Great song. â€
ELO - Roll Over Beethoven (long version)
Can anybody (movie buffs at least) ever listen to this song again and not think
of Guardians of the Galaxy II? Not that it's a bad thing.... Dance on Baby Groot!!
"... Their strong suit is putting together dramatic prices of art." - You nailed it.
Thx Biz! One of my favorites! Great reaction! Jeff Lynne was dubbed âSon of the Beatlesâ by John Lennon!
I wake up at 3:30, too, Biz! đ
Dope
Voted happiest song written âđ„đ€
Biz: You need to hear an entire album of this. Their greatest achievement (in my opinion, anyway) is their album Eldorado. Every song, slow or fast, takes you on a ride. By the time you finish, you feel like you've been to a great movie with your friends.
That is how you react to a vid :)
