Some games I forgot: Twin Palms (2022) is a fantastic trick-taking game that can play 5 and is easy and very fun. Mind MGMT (2021) a hidden movement game that scales down to players as young as six but also has advanced rules. It is a game that I have already recommended many times and you can find out more on my Top 10 2022 video. Yak (2022, 2-4 players) is a GORGEOUS brick-stacking game, also featured in the same video. Living Forest (2021, 1-4 players) probably is best with kids 8+ and it is a deck builder with a few other semi-cooperative elements to make it interesting.

Eternal Palace is so beautiful and I can’t decide if I like it more than Tang Garden. Reminds me of when I lived in Japan. Looking forward to trying out some of these games.

They are very similar: beautiful games with a rather abstract mechanic. I think it comes down to whether you prefer to roll dice or place tiles. Personally, I prefer rolling dice!

Thanks for the list! I should probably try some of these.

9:15 you are saying it wrong. In German "ie" like in "die" is spoken like "ee" in "feel" or like "ea" in "pea". Whereas "ei" would be spoken like you do. In "wandelnden" you pronounce it as if there wasn't a second "d" in it.
"Türme" you pronounce absolutely right, which is really good since English doesn't even have an ü-sound.

Thanks! I’m working on it. I know die is DEE, but for some reason I keep slipping into how I see the word written in English in my head.

my only regret seeing this list is that i didnt start introducing games to my kids sooner. so many fun looking games and my kids are now too old for them. hmm...i can ask my wife to make a new kid for to play these with.
