Submerged in boiling flesh is a surprisingly well written song about a person who gets submerged in boiling flesh. Very poetic
🤣🤣🤣 i love this comment
Ha ha brilliant
read the first half of the sentence expecting some esoteric twist then i remembered its cannibal corpse haha
Well, it's just horror fiction, like any horror novel or horror movie. They're a bunch of stoners just having fun.
Legit one of their best songs
Brings me back to listening to CC as a 13 year old. The lyrics are meant to be edgy, offensive and outlandish like a grindhouse 80's horror film.
I love it! 80's grindhouse horror film is definitely something I'm into. I have now been converted into a CC fan. Currently digging into Violence Unimagined and holy hell the production of that album is insane.
@@imaKaiya saw them live 2 weeks ago and it was the best thing ever
@@imaKaiya that's Erik Rutan on production and lead guitar now. Dudes a death metal LEGEND. Great vid🤘
@@imaKaiya until you read the lyrics
Chris barns is the original lead singer , now with Six feet under
George "corpsegrinder" fisher first album with Cannibal corpse was "vile" fun fact
I love the parental advisory logo on their albums like oh you don’t say lmao
Yes, that tomb of the mutilated artwork is in fact supposed to be showing "oral loving"
Bahahahahahahaha
What you're calling the "tom" is a snare. But! Getting in to Cannibal Corpse as your first metal band is kinda legendary, lol. As a huge metalhead myself, I started off with Iron Maiden, Pantera, Megadeth and Judas Priest.
I started off with slipknots iowa 😐 3 year old me was terrified lmao
You sure dove into the deep end! I'm proud of you!
Thank you!! I wasn't expecting to like them as much as I did 🤣 Now I'm anxiously awaiting for when I can go see them live!
@@imaKaiya Funny you should say that, they're touring now! Maybe I'll see you in the pit 🤘 Have fun on your journey into metal!
@@imaKaiya CC is awesome live. Saw them in 2010 and they kicked SO much ass it's ridiculous.
I think it’s crazy and cool that you started with cannibal corpse.
She should check out last days of humanity too huh😅
I've listened to CC since I was 12 and its always good to see someone else who "gets" this band. The musicianship is absolutely insane with these guys, and it gets crazier with every album, like fucking around with weird layered time signatures and all that but still always with a good beat to it. I learned one of my most valued bass techniques by watching Alex playing, he's really the first I saw who mastered the art of finger picking a 4/4 rythm with three fingers and it makes playing fast so much more attainable. Like he said in an interview once: "I just like to fuck around with numbers" I'd recommend you check out the song Rabid, specifically the "chorus" riff, you'll see what he meant by that.
React to infant annihilator and lorna shore for more inhuman gutterals 😂
Yes! I have such respect for this band. I've been digging more into their discography since this video and they just keep getting better and better. Violence Unimagined has some insane shit going on and I love it. I'm a sucker for good sounding drums, guitar riffs and crazy changes. Thank you so much for sharing and recommending a song! I will definitely check it out! 🙌
Ive met George "Corpsgrinder" He is one the nicest and most gracious people i have ever met from any band. He is an incredibly kind human being.
I am 49 and Cannibal Corpse is still my second favorite band just under Deicide. My favorite CC is the early stuff with Chris Barnes on vocals but George Fisher has filled in decently. You should have done a song from the Butchered at Birth album.
George Fisher's vocals live in the early days were so good though.
I love Butchered at Birth, but the mixing really fucks that album over.
Tengo 46 años.yo elijo en este orden mis bandas favoritas:Death,Cannibal, Morbid Angel,Deicide,Carcass.
Wow first time listening to cannibal corpse and actually likes it. That's my type of girl
❤❤❤❤ I am now looking for when I can purchase tickets to their next show near me 🤣
Great reaction! The whole band is super talented and George is an incredibly nice guy in person. I've seen them live three times and they perform perfectly every time!
Thank you so much!! I was so impressed by them. I think they're coming to my city soon and I'm going to try and snag some tickets. I've never been to a metal show so another first!! Lol
@@imaKaiya Nice, if you're able to get tickets I hope you enjoy the show! Metal fans tend to be pretty chill and accepting, that plus the performance makes for a great time. Just avoid the moshpit if you don't want to get pushed/run around lol, usually it's confined to the very centre of the crowd so it's easy to see.
Uhh yeah, Cannibal Corpse is definitely not the first band I would recommend for someone who has never heard metal before. Its cool you weren't completely turned off by it though and checked out some other bands too. If you want to see some heavy metal with showmanship check out Avatar-Bloody Angel live
I love this reaction so much. You are real open minded and honest. Im looking forward to more of you videos!
I can now say I am a fan of Cannibal Corpse. What a fun and wild ride this video was lol
Thanks for watching! xoxo😝
So most of the songs you did had the old singer Chris barns but the singer they have now is the one you showed from the pictures lol gorge corpsegrinder fisher who also just put out a solo album and cannibal just put out an album last year they are touring now
You’re awesome lmao
@@Godzillarex61 And Corpsegrinder made a brilliant introduction as the new singer, when Vile came out - that scream!!
I know you are well into the journey now, but just wanted to say it was super rad to see you approach this so openly. I bought the Bleeding in '94 and it's amazing I'm watching this and scoping their tour dates today.
Welcome to the Cannibal Corps. I'm proud of you!
13:17 actually the most metal moment of the entire video😂😂😂
I mean, Cannibal Corpse isn't where I'd recommend starting with metal, but hell yeah. Frantic Disembowelment is an insane song.
>never has listened to metal
>cannibal corpse
>kek
🤣🤣🤣
Lol I'm cracking up this whole video
“I asked if I were to get into metal, who would I start with, and they said definitely not cannibal corpse, soooooo here we are”
Nice😂
Never listened to metal before but started with Cannibal Corpse. Talk about throwing yourself in at the deep end!
That's like jumping into the deep end of the pool not knowing how to swim
CC always said they're a horror metal band. A horror movie set to music. I met them in Nashville at a show, and talked to Corpsegrinder for about an hour. He said they love to write the sickest stuff they can think of.
And after the show I went bar hopping with Jack Owen's, who is now in Deicide. It was a killer night.
I Cum Blood is definitely not a recommended very first metal song to listen to. Also, Hammer Smashed Face is their most "commercial Hit" (if there is such a thing with this band) as it was featured in the movie Ace Ventura:Pet Detective where C.C made an appearance.
Bolt Thrower, Deicide, Morbid Angel and Carcass are all classic Death Metal bands and are a wide range of the genre.
And Death!
Good bands, let's not forget about Exciter!
@@DizJakeOGexciter is a good band but what does it have to do with death metal? 😂
Dying Fetous is another good one
CC always has the most hilarious lyrics.
I know right dudes a huge teddy bear but has some hilariously sick lyrics long as your kinda fucked in the head but they are the shi either way good day sir.....that is all lol
i really enjoyed this video. your reaction is down to earth, and you seem to understand that its meant to be a 'joke' and not taken seriously. most people who encounter death metal for the first time completely disregard it.
This is super rad! Ima be sticking around to watch your other metal videos⚡️🤘
What a way to start your metaljourney!
Allready seen your Maiden, Children of Bodom, Sepultura and Agalloch episodes....was curious to see where it started...This was so much fun to watch.
I'm gonna watch them all in chronological order now.
Greetingz from the Netherlands.
\m/
Very impressed that you even gave this a listen and even more impressed that you liked it 🤘 great reaction 😀
Absolutely love your reaction‼️ ♥️ Been a fan of cannibal corpse forever 🤟🔥
Cannibal Corpse has 15 albums. Their first album Eaten Back To Life was released in 1990. Their latest album Violence Unimagined was released in 2021. All of their albums are either good or great. If I had to recommend my favorites, I choose Butchered At Birth (1991), Gallery Of Suicide (1998), Kill (2006), and Evisceration Plague (2009). Hard to choose, though. They're so consistent. My favorite Cannibal Corpse song is "Priests Of Sodom" off Evisceration Plague.
That's my rundown of CC.
Edit: Also, A Skeletal Domain is only one of two CC album covers that don't feature blood, gore, or both; the only other being Kill.
Lastly, members Paul Mazurkiewicz (drummer) and Alex Webster (bassist) are the only original members of the band currently.
Love seeing people react to Cannibal for the first time, been listening to them since around 96 and love them to death 💀
Damn, cannibal corpse as the first metal band is kinda crazy
Another pioneer death metal band you ought to listen is Morbid Angel. Here's my top 5 recommendations:
1. Sworn to the Black
2. Chapel of Ghouls
3. Blessed are the Sick
4. Nothing is Not
5. Summoning Redemption
If you are wanting death metal with a bit of a melodic sound I highly recommend Entombed, Dismembered, or Grave. If you prefer it without the melodic sound then I suggest checking out Suffocation, Blood Incantation, Gorguts, or immolation.
Thank you so much for the recommendation! I am definitely going to look into this. I am super interested in checking out more death metal and various other sub-genres within that! 🙏🏻
Cattle Decapitation
Archspire
Bolt Thrower, Deicide, Morbid Angel and Carcass are all classic Death Metal bands and they are a wide range of the genre.
Your facial expressions when you read these lyrics is priceless
Love, The Wretched Spawn 👌
Cheers.
Hopefully your audio gets better as we go. 😅 Metal is a fun rabbithole.
Thanks for this video, really enjoyed it. I always imagine that people only hear noise when they listen to this music for the first time, but you can actually hear the instruments and the production, that takes some experience listening to music. Great to see that you recognise the talent it takes to make play this music, and it was also very funny.
@9:28 😂😂
First time viewer. It was at this moment I thought I'm prob going to continue watching your videos
The dude from Lord of the rings that she mentioned actually starts off a song from cradle of Filth it's really good it's called her ghost in the fog
One of my favorite filth songs ...didn't know that tho learned something thanks
People don’t appreciate the sheer musicianship of Cannibal Corpse, it’s nice to see someone who does that wasn’t a CC fan. Starting with “I Cum Blood” is ballsy lol
And yeah Chris Barnes voice was monstrous back in the 90s.
Is it just me who would like to hear Kaiya make a dark poetry video with some of these lyrics. The whole text, some dark ligths and a scary atmosphere? Great video by the way.
This is giving me some ideas.... Definitely going to explore this now :D Thanks for watching!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
To me, CC is the most consistent death metal band ever. 8 out of 10's to 10 out of 10's their whole career. And such nice guys! I've been a huge fan since maybe '06. Always nice to see someone listen to a few of their songs with an open mind :') You got my sub! I'll definitely check out your music with an open mind as well. You've earned that, for what it's worth. And yes, they've definitely been some horny boiis their whole careers 😂
OMG the commentary on this is epic lol
She looked so innocent in this video!
I respect people who genuinely try to understand and appreciate music which is way out of their usual comfort zone. I am a girl too and have been a CC fan for a long time.
Love this reaction! Thanks for listening to multiple songs, looking at the cover art and reading the lyrics too! This is how it should be done :)
Could you please react to Mors Principium Est? They are not very well known, which is sad because the music is awesome.
im 11 im a big fan they are hella good the singer George is a awesome dude
"i dont know what im getting myself into" 2 years later your a huge metalhead youtuber now ahaha welcome to the life of being a metalhead! ⛓️🔥⚔️🤘🏼🤘🏼⚔️🔥⛓️
You're never going to hear cookie monsters voice the same even again🤣
I Cum Blood, Fucked With A Knife and Hammer Smashed Face were recorded by Chris Barnes, who actually sings/growls in Six Feet Under. Asphyxiate and Nothing Left were recorded by the actual vocal, George "Corpsegrinder" Fischer...
Six feet unders one of my favorites but we can't denie he sounds like an angry cookie monster still fucking fire when it comes to older metal
It's always a good idea to increase our continuous listening range Listening to other genres 👍
Not a big fam but they're a really essential band. Saw them once, standing next to the mosh pit (too coward/old to participate) and they rocked HARD! Great reaction!
really enjoyed this video! your reactions were funny and the song choice was great, if i had to recommend a band i would recommend exodus. they’re the originators of the bay area thrash scene which is one of, if not the most influential scene in metal helping set off metallica and megadeth careers. exodus have had a few different singers, but as long as you react to piranha from their first album bonded by blood i’ll live!! keep rocking
Thank you so much for your recommendations! I am going to be doing a lot more metal reactions on this channel and I'm making a list of bands lol. Thank you for watching and I'm happy you enjoyed my reaction! CC is incredible!!
To be fair to you, for just jumping into it blind your doing a good job at understanding why people like them, most just hear it a little and are like NOPE! So much respect.
For me the bleeding album was the best as it’s what hit me into them
Their 1st album appeared in '88. Corpsegrinder is their second vocalist.
So this is what realizing you've been listening wrong music your whole life looks like. "I fuckin love it!"
RIP Chuck Schuldiner the Creator of Deathmetal!!
Death metal vocals are a instrument on top of the crazy riffing the icing on the evil cake haha😁
Great reaction! If you want something even more crushing my fave death metal band is defeated sanity, their song “into the soil” is a groovy place to start.
Got a new subscriber 🤘🏴☠️
Welcome to the channel!! So happy you are here ❤🤘🏻
It really isn't about the lyrics as much the overall ambience of each song. The FEEL of it.
From Ariana Grande to RATM to Cannibal Corpse, way to go, girl, way to go, good choices :D
Damn who suggested cannibal corpse she should've started with Metallica or something
😂😂😂 Blame my bandmates lol. Better to dive right into the deep end I guess. The most interesting part of this metal journey so far is learning about all the sub genres!
Also I love this comment.
You should do this same format; as in listen to 4-5 songs from a particular band, but with someone like Deicide (another popular death metal band btw which are in the same vein as Cannibal Corpse). If I may... I recommend these 5 songs:
1. Serpents of the Light
2. Bible Basher
3. Dead by Dawn
4. Holy Deception
5. Crawled From the Shadows
So you can listen to the different eras of the band; get a true perspective.
Anyways, nice reaction / commentary. It's always interesting to hear non-metalheads listen to metal for the first time (especially the heavier stuff like CC) and come into it with an open mind. Much appreciated!
Thank you so much! I am happy you liked the layout! Also, super stoked to check out this recommendation. I want to do more metal reactions on this channel, so this helps a ton! I wasn't expecting to like CC as much as I did lol. But holy hell, I'm a fan now.
Canible corpse is the darkest of the dark the heavy metal u can ever hear
Black metal: bruh...
Already is a pirate themed folk metal band and one of my favorite bands! You gotta react to them eventually please!
Damn. Well, kudos for jumping in the deep end. I'm sure many people have already chimed in with much more gentle roads into this amazing and diverse is genre of music. Why don't we try iron maidens Legendary Classic Hallowed be thy name as your next dive. I think you will find it much more relatable... And even though won't generate the same shock tactic likes or whatever, in terms of actually giving you something that would allow you to make an honest effort towards appreciating metal and its history, you can't go wrong there. Cheers.
Double pedal work at its peak🔥🔥
it may be useful to know that canni got a different vocalist straight after tomb of the mutilated (im pretty sure it was then), which is why the vocal lines sound pretty different compared to each other. so the low gutterals are pretty signature to chris barnes (1st guy) and the highs are quite stylistic of corpsegrinder (2nd guy). ofc both can do both techniques, its just what ive noticed about their styles :)
It was after the bleeding but yes
The entire album of Cannibal Corpse's "The Bleeding" is written from the standpoint of multiple serial killers. It explores the thoughts that run through their heads as well as their methods of torture and killing. Even the singer's voice switches from dark and menacing to mid range half demonic (half excited) to full demonic highs (serial killer fully excited). The amount of detail they put into this album changed death metal forever.
It is supposed to be unsettling nightmare fuel.
This is where her Metalhead transformation took place folks! It's actually really surprising how fast people can become fans of the genre. IMO Metal really is the most diverse type of music, so many different sub-genres with different instrumentation and vocal styles. The complete antithesis of our great enemy.... Country music! It's literally just bands playing the same 3 cords, singing the exact same way and talking about the exact same things. Sometimes I can't tell the differences between Kenny Chesney, Billy Ray Cyrus, Garth Brooks etc. because they literally sound the exact same! Almost like putting 2 different Knickleback songs over each other lol.
Please do a part 2 but with their second vocalist, Corpsegrinder!
I love cannibal corpse. Great way to start your reaction. Infant annihilator should definitely be your next.
3 of the songs where by the first singer Chris barns the singer you showed and talked about is George ( corpsegrinder) fisher. They are putting out their 16th album September 22-2023
I opened for Cannibal Corpse on tour many years ago. They're all great guys.
"Stripped Raped and Strangled" is a personal fave
Now that you’ve found them, you’ll come to learn that it’s a really good stress reliever to turn it all the way up. Also if somebody says it’s just talentless noise, tell them to watch a guitar cover of it lol
You have my subscribe, would love to see some more metal shit 👌🤘
Thank you for subscribing! :) LOT'S of metal shit in the works. I've gotten many requests and I am looking forward to continuing down this metal journey lol
31:24 the whole Album cover is a huge parental advisory sticker tbh ^^
Two different vocalists. I Cum Blood, and Hammer Smashed Face was Chris Barnes. All the other ones were George “Corpse Grinder” Fischer. : )
That's right, girl. The first reaction to metal music and you start with Cannibal Corpse... Either you will never listen to metal again or you will fall in love with it 🤣🤣
Cordial greetings
btw. I watch your videos in chronological order, this is your first reaction to metal music. so far it's:
- you sing nicely, you need to practice a bit to control the "aggression" in your vocals...
- a sad story, the one you told, I hope it will serve as an example to others 👍👍
Old Metalhead 🤘
If you want to hear some truly amazing vocals, check out the album "Mongofied" by GAF, or "Nespithe" by Demilich.
Hi, I just found your channel but going back and watching all of your videos because ummm the music. Yeah that's it.... Ok ok, it's because you're beautiful, but I mean, the music is pretty cool too. 😀
Not similar to Black Sabbath, but I mean Black Sabbath is kinda the original metal band…so every metal band was influenced by them
Now that I've listened to more of their discography since this video, I agree they aren't similar at all. I think I got to that comparison based on the guitar tone for that particular part. Definitely a Sabbath fan and now a converted CC fan! Such a talented group of musicians
@@imaKaiya idk if ur up for requests, but there’s this band called Exhorder that has a really heavy sound (more thrash metal than death metal) but with different, clearer vocals. No one ever reacts to them, they’re very underrated and they haven’t gotten the popularity they deserve. I would recommend their live performance on the Official Brutal Assault (a metal festival) CZcams channel, it’s only 2 songs so not a whole set or anything. Insane musicianship, and for a band from the late 80’s early 90’s like cannibal corpse, they still sound the same.
Oh my gosh thank you so much for the recommendation! I am definitely open to requests - I'm so new to the metal genre I don't really know where to start past CC lol. I would love suggestions for bands to check out or bands you think would make for an interesting reaction video. I will definitely look up this band you mentioned!! 🙌🏻
@@imaKaiya I’m gonna be honest with you, it won’t get you a lot of views reacting to bands like Exhorder. I mean like I said I would love to see it, and so would a lot of other metal heads. But honestly if you don’t put Metallica or Slipknot in the title it seems a lot of people skip over it. But bands like Exhorder represent what metal was back then, just a bunch of guys making killer music with crappy technology and without any goal other than to create the best art they can. I think that’s been lost in the music industry today
Great reaction. You must to listen to Asphyx, is a death metal from Netherlands. I wish you like it.
Non ti perdere....MAI
Metal NEEDS really good earphones.. nice reaction at the beginning lolol
Should have listened to Beyond the Cemetery, the best track on that album IMHO.
Dude I was prepared when I first listened to Death metal I was 15 because of 5 years listening to Silverstein & Alexisonfire screaming from my sister's stereo 😂.
You have a top notch sense of humor and didn't react like I expected at all 😄 this chick gets it
Well this is certainly one way to enter metal
I was into these guys as a teenager, but the only albums I ever had were Tomb of the Mutilated and Vile. Different vocalists, but at the time I probably didn't even know that. Check out Devoured by Vermin and Puncture Wound Massacre.
The wretched spawn album cover is by far my favourite 🤘🏻☺️🤘🏻
Most CC Albums were covered by large black stickers with Hype written all over them in order to be sold because most music stores especially the corporate ones wouldn't carry them otherwise.
So just from the intro I internally went ohhhhhhh noooooo
did anybody already mention that they performed hammer smashed face in jim carrey's ace ventura?
If you’re into rage against the machine you should check out inside out. It was his first band.
As much as I didn’t want to like this video ‘Metal heads tend to be elitist’ as in the middle 80’s early 90’s that’s all that mattered, Metallica and of the same ilk. Now that I am old😂 and metal heads of my age we mostly have expanded our like of other music and people not metal heads liking our music, ‘our music’ that’s funny. So wanna say fan now of your reactions, I think you get it for the most part, technicality, production and musicianship.
Clearly the gore is for shock value and no, fans of this genre is not sick and evil. Keep up the good work, maybe a little less talky, but in the end, I will continue to watch. If ya haven’t listened to TOOL, which I would be surprised if you haven’t, give them a try for progressive metal with incredible vocals. H props to your band mates, TAKE THEIR ADVICE IN MUSIC LISTENING AVENUES! They clearly know what’s up, mahalo and aloha from Hawaii🤙
lmao cannibal corpse as your into to metal my God that's brutal.
🤣🤣🤣 It was the best way to get introduced lol
You should listen to Death! They’re amazing! The album sound of perseverance is beautiful
Its actually a different vocalist, he joined in 1999 on the album bloodthirst
You mean Vile
