    Thank you for the informative video. I'm planning to upgrade the secondary storage slot on my device to a 2 TB SSD. However, the official technical specifications for the 5590 model on Dell website indicate that only HDDs are supported up to 2 TB in the secondary slot. In your video, you mentioned that SSDs are also supported for the secondary slot. Have you had the chance to try this out? Do you think the system will support a 2 TB SSD? I already have m2 SSD in the first slot.
    Thank you in advance for your help.

      It's my pleasure my friend,i appreciate your support.
      🫠Regarding your question, we have upgraded this laptop to 4TB on nvme and 4TB on 2.5'ssd for a client without any issues, the 2.5' hdd only can take 2TB hdd because it only takes low profile hdd and the max on low 2.5' hdd is 2TB.
      Should you have any further questions or requests in the future, please don't hesitate to ask me.
      cheers🍻

    Does G5 5590 SSD slot fit double sided chip SSDs? Like the Kingston Renegade Fury, for example.

    Is it possible to add an HDD to this laptop if I already have an SSD installed?

      Regarding your question, as shown in the video and explained, you can have one M.2 SSD NVMe and, at the same time, you can also have one HDD or a 2.5" SSD.
      If you have any further questions or requests in the future, please don't hesitate to ask.

    If the ssd only shows up in disk management sometimes, should I try getting a new sata cable? When I put the original hdd back it works fine but not the ssd.

      🫠Regarding your question, is not the canble, it's the SSD controller that is defective.

    another question
    nvme m.2 ssd with or without heatsink?

    • @uFixTek
      @uFixTek  Před rokem +1

      up to 2TB does not requires heatsink, and even if you place one it will not help with performance or durability. anything 4TB and over sure you will need.

    How do I clone the entire previous ssd to the bigger new one?

    • @uFixTek
      @uFixTek  Před 4 měsíci +2

      🫠Regarding your question, download a program that is called "Macrium Reflect" don't pirate it from torrent sites like piratebay😉.
      then you will need to connect the new ssd via usb adapter to the laptop and using the program clone the main drive into the new drive and then power off and replace them. when you 1st boot the windows it may give you bluescreen and crash that is normal, on the 2nd boot everything will work fine.
      Should you have any further questions or requests in the future, please don't hesitate to ask me.
      cheers🍻

    so it factually only has the 1 m.2 slot?
    need to upgrade the ssd and i was hoping i wouldnt have to get the new ssd AND a another storage device for the old ssd backup
    its ridiculous you cant get this info from dell themselves

      Regarding your question, yes it is ridiculous that the laptop category high en is not be able to have 2x m.2
      in other version they have support for up to 3x m.2
