Sylhet is known for its tea plantations and natural beauty.The city has a history that dates back to the 14th century, and it has been ruled by various dynasties and empires, including the Mughals, British, and the Nawabs of Bengal. The city is also home to several important landmarks, such as the Shah Jalal Dargah, which is one of the holiest sites in Bangladesh and attracts thousands of pilgrims every year.
Jaflong:
Jaflong is a tourist spot in Sylhet division. It is about 60 km from Sylhet town and takes two hours drive to reach there. Jaflong is located amidst tea gardens and hills. It is situated beside the river Sari in the lap of Hill Khashia.
Vholaganj sada pathor:
Bholaganj SadaPathor, located in the Companiganj Upazila and near East Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya, India, is famous for beautiful stones, crystal clear water and green mountains. In this “heaven of white stones,” visitors can enjoy swimming, floating or simply soaking their feet in the beautiful cool water. Two other must-see places near Bholaganj include Utma Sora and Turong Sora.
Ratargul swamp forest:
Ratargul Reservoir is a freshwater reservoir in Bangladesh located at Goainghat in Sylhet. Ratargul was once thought to be the only wetland in Bangladesh.But later, more wetlands named Jugirkandi Mayavan, Bujir Forest and Lakshmi Baur wetlands were found in Bangladesh.[4][5][6] The 22 freshwater lakes in the world There are only wetlands, “Ratargul Lagoon” is one of them.[citation needed] The area of this wetland is 3,325.61 acres. It is also known as Ratargul Swamp Forest. Its 504-acre area was declared a wildlife sanctuary by the Bangladesh government in 1973. Also on 31 May 2015 Bangladesh Forest Department declared 204.25 hectares of forest land as Special Biodiversity Conservation Area. This area is also referred to as a Special Biodiversity Conservation Area (Ratargul).
Mayabi Jhorna:
The strange water wave of calm white water coming down the chest of small rocks is the magical waterfall of Jaflong. Jaflong Magical Fountain of Sylhet is a beautiful sparkling spot on the green chest. Thirsty travelers are constantly running towards it after falling under the magic of this magical fountain. Because now is the time to get lost in the wonderful beauty of the fountain.In the rainy season, Sylhet invites everyone to see the immense beauty of Bengal by arranging its various forms. Sylhet is like a fairy tale country with several small and big mountain rivers including green tea plantations, jaflong, Bichnakandi, white stone, mountains and Pian river.This waterfall has surpassed all the tourist spots in a short period of time. The location of the magical waterfall is a little far from the Jaflong zero point of Goainghat upazila bordering Sylhet.
সিলেট তার চা বাগান এবং প্রাকৃতিক সৌন্দর্যের জন্য পরিচিত। শহরটির একটি ইতিহাস রয়েছে যা 14 শতকের শুরু হয়েছে এবং এটি মুঘল, ব্রিটিশ এবং বাংলার নবাব সহ বিভিন্ন রাজবংশ এবং সাম্রাজ্য দ্বারা শাসিত হয়েছে। এছাড়াও এই শহরটি বেশ কয়েকটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ল্যান্ডমার্কের আবাসস্থল, যেমন শাহ জালাল দরগাহ, যা বাংলাদেশের অন্যতম পবিত্র স্থান এবং প্রতি বছর হাজার হাজার তীর্থযাত্রীকে আকর্ষণ করে।
জাফলং:
জাফলং সিলেট বিভাগের একটি পর্যটন স্পট। এটি সিলেট শহর থেকে প্রায় 60 কিলোমিটার দূরে এবং সেখানে পৌঁছাতে দুই ঘন্টার গাড়ি লাগে। চা বাগান ও পাহাড়ের মাঝে জাফলং অবস্থিত। এটি পার্বত্য খাশিয়ার কোলে সারি নদীর তীরে অবস্থিত।
ভোলাগঞ্জ সাদা পথর:
ভোলাগঞ্জ সাদাপাথর, কোম্পানীগঞ্জ উপজেলায় এবং ভারতের মেঘালয়ের পূর্ব খাসি পাহাড় জেলার নিকটে অবস্থিত, সুন্দর পাথর, স্ফটিক স্বচ্ছ পানি এবং সবুজ পাহাড়ের জন্য বিখ্যাত। এই "শ্বেত পাথরের স্বর্গে" দর্শনার্থীরা সুন্দর শীতল জলে তাদের পা ভিজিয়ে সাঁতার কাটা, ভাসতে বা সহজভাবে উপভোগ করতে পারে৷ ভোলাগঞ্জের কাছাকাছি আরও দুটি অবশ্যই দেখার মতো জায়গার মধ্যে রয়েছে উত্তমা সোরা এবং তুরং সোরা।
রাতারগুল জলাভূমি বন:
রাতারগুল জলাধার হল সিলেটের গোয়াইনঘাটে অবস্থিত বাংলাদেশের একটি মিঠা পানির জলাধার। একসময় রাতারগুলকে বাংলাদেশের একমাত্র জলাভূমি বলে মনে করা হতো। কিন্তু পরবর্তীকালে বাংলাদেশে জুগিরকান্দি মায়াবন, বুজির বন এবং লক্ষ্মী বাউর জলাভূমি নামে আরও জলাভূমি পাওয়া যায়।
