    Communication
Regardless of whether you are a single-pilot operation or fly for a large organisation, effective communication is a critical part of your flying operations. Misunderstandings and communication failures cost time and money, and at worst, compromise safety, as some of the case studies in this booklet show.
Clear communication can be the difference between safe flight and aircraft accidents. A communication misunderstanding, for example, was a key causal factor in the Tenerife accident which caused the greatest loss of life in aviation to date, 583 people.

The analogy of the bank account near the end of this video really puts everything involving human relations into perspective. I really love the series of videos your team has produced, looking forward to going through more and more of them.

These videos by CASA, are exceptional. Every person in a safety sensitive role (in fact every adult) should watch, study, cherish and learn from these videos. What a great resource.

11:03 I’m not sure whether it is a cultural issue or a language barrier, but despite this Captain means well and stresses the importance of communication, in my humble opinion, getting “cranky” displays a low EQ. Ensuring an open dialogue between your First Officer or employee, is great, but if you cannot keep your emotions in check, you’re opening yourself up to huge problems and possible litigation.
