  • This Braun Shaver Series 9 | 9295 cc electric shaver is the nicest shaver I have ever owned.
    Pros:
    - It cuts really well and leaves my skin smooth. It didn't take many passes on the same spot to get a smooth shave.
    - It didn't pull any of my hairs when I was shaving
    - It comes with a hard travel case (forgot to show on video)
    - The unit is light and the LED indicators are nice to see where the charge is at
    - The charging and cleaning station is easy to use
    Cons:
Charging and cleaning station is large and you may not have sink space to permanently leave it on there.

Excellent video about this shaver. I bought the Braun 9 and have had it a couple of weeks and didn't want to use it before I knew all the features and how to use the cleaner. I glanced at the user manual but decided a CZcams video would be better. I found Mr. Wong's video and it was all I needed. I like his style. Well-thought out video. I'm now a subscriber.

Just a heads up for anyone new to electric shaving.
Switching from a cartridge shaver to an electric takes some time to adjust. Your 1st few runs will probably irritate your skin and or the shaver might leave some little hairs behind. Best thing that works, for me, is to wash your face, dry, and apply an electric pre shave. Take your time and do not apply excessive pressure. Just glide the shaver over your face while applying minimal pressure and stretch your skin taut. After about a week of daily use your face will adjust and it should start to get easier

You can use it while wet. I have used it with shaving cream and there has been no issues. Just make sure you dry it after you get it wet. If you leave it wet too long, it will start to smell.

What have you owned other then braun series 9. I am not a fan of nicking myself with an electric razor that clogs easily and gives me razor burn Which is why I am not enjoying my braun series 9. I hope this message does not bum you out if you are able to enjoy it thats awesome!

And my remington holds up better like its got more torque , sharper blade and greater will power. Braun starts loud and fast entill you start rubbing it across the face with ny experience.

Update after 3 shaves - tried wet as well as dry, up and down, left and right, very slow to slow but if it can’t trim facial hair in an area, it just can’t. For me, it fails on side of my neck. Also, I expect a $200 shaver to save me time every morning and not to increase my shave time. It fails there.
Summary - It is either a hit or a miss. Shaves equal or better than a typical razor where it can shave. I got the best mustache shave ever with this.
Failed miserably on my neck despite multiple tries, both dry as well as wet.
Point is, I bought this to save me time and skin irritation. It reduced the later but I had to spend double the time to shave.
It is going back to store tomorrow. Sorry Braun

Do they shave as fast? I know the arc will be a closer shave. Is there a situation where the Braun is better?

The chromed plastic finish is a travesty, and in my opinion, should be criminalized.

Don't sell yourself short my dude. Just by looking at your week old stubble I'd say you could grow a decent beard or at the very least a thick mustache and a goatee. Number 1 rule in growing a beard is being patient and it WILL look awful at first. Just stick with it!

Sorry didn't mean to laugh, but my partner is Asian, and the amount of facial hair he has in a year's time would be like a months growth of mine. No need to spend this amount on these great shavers when you don't have thick, dense beards. Just sayin'!

The Braun Series 9 is one of the best electric shavers on the market...The only 2 electric shavers that come close are the Panasonic Arc 5 and the Phillips Series 9000 Prestige.
I highly doubt doubt that a £20 shaver is “miles better” than the Braun Series 9.
