“Les années heureuses”: une expression qui sied particulièrement au séjour de J.S. Bach à Köthen. Dégagé des obligations qui le retenaient à Weimar et pas encore embarqué dans la machine leipzigoise, le protégé du prince Leopold livre des chefs-d’œuvre tellement flamboyants que Benjamin Alard ne pouvait résister au plaisir d’y associer ses chers amis musiciens, réunis autour du somptueux clavecin Hass à trois claviers.‘
The happy years’: an expression that is particularly apt for J.S. Bach’s period in Cöthen. Freed from the obligations that held him back in Weimar and not yet caught up in the Leipzig treadmill, Prince Leopold’s protégé produced masterpieces of such flamboyance that Benjamin Alard could not resist the pleasure of inviting some of his dear musician friends to join him around the splendid three-manual harpsichord by Hass.
„Die glücklichen Jahre“:eine treffende Bezeichnung für J.S. Bachs Zeit in Köthen. Ohne die Verpflichtungen, die ihn in Weimar festhielten, und noch nicht im Leipziger Getriebe angekommen, schuf der Favorit des Fürsten Leopold so glanzvolle Meisterwerke, dass Benjamin Alard nicht auf das Vergnügen verzichten wollte, seine geschätzten Musikerfreunde dazu einzuladen, sich um das prächtige Cembalo von Hass herum zu versammeln.
