I am a bit obsessed with the second OMW 😍
There are many affordable houses around the lake. Something to remember. Many of the less expensive houses, you can't drive right up to the houses. You have to park at the commune parking lot and walk pathways to the house. It is usually an easy 5 mins or so walk. Getting groceries and deliveries would require some extra planning. Also during the fall to spring when it is much more rainy and cloudy, the cloud cover is low. Driving up the mountain sides (the higher the elevation the cheaper the bargains) during the cloudier months can be a bit unnerving. But once you drive 2 or 3 times you get used to it. Public buses and taxis are only readily available in the main towns/along the main roadways (not up in the mountains) Lake Como is just magical!

This was a really cool episode! When ever I think of Lake Como, I have visions of palazzi with docks & George Clooney in his tuxedo. It was wonderful to be shown that the Italian lake life is available to plebes like us. Salute & abondanza !

Lake Como is soooo beautiful! Visiting is wonderful. Actually living there would be AMAZING! I would definitely want to be in a lakeside town for easy access to the ferry - that takes you to so many fabo little towns. Such a magical place!

The views are amazing & the 'feel' of the place - you just can't explain unless you visit. Thank you for sharing all of these gorgeous properties, they all have something wonderful to offer. You know there are other lakes in the area like Maggiore.
You might look for places around them, and also, since Milano is right there on the south side of Como, you can probably find some properties there, although anything in Milano would probably be pretty expensive.
When you showed the beach on the Mediterranean, I think you were at Genova.
I saw a video of it a while back, and it is absolutely one of the most beautiful cities in Italy.

Love your flair to scoping out real estate… so fun. Please do Vieste! I was deployed there for 6 months, back in the mid 90’s, during the Bosnian war. We provided radar and air space control over the war zone. But we did it from Italy, where the food and bars were amazing, and I fell in love. I have told the wifey, I would love to retire in southern Italy, especially Vieste. Wonderful food, charm, great people, on the Aegean coast. Very picturesque. Thanks Sam Rambo

@@BiaggioWWW-wi4vs thank you, I spent most of my 10 years overseas in the military, everywhere from Europe to the Middle East. I met my wife over 26 years ago while stationed in Alaska. She has that same adventure spirt I do.
Photography I was a model photographer in to 2000’s and 2010’s. Full time side gig. Now days mostly landscape and astrophotography. Still a few sites out there with my work on it, but hung up the camera and pulled everything in 2017, to spend more time focusing on the family. I was staff on a couple industry magazines back then. Research scientist is the main job. And will retire in 7 years with 40 years of federal service.
You all have so much enthusiasm for this, you can see the passion for what you are doing in your videos. I first saw your videos maybe 6-7 months ago, because I’m always researching property in Italy. You both have become so polished in your presentation since then. Very entertaining. Thank you for taking the time.

@@wanderingwithwine yes we are truly thinking about dual homes, a place in Italy and prob someplace in the southern USA. Live in Italy, driving all around Europe, until it’s not feasible due to age, then… retire to a 55+ prob in FL.
I spent way more time all over Europe than my wife has, and I really want to explore it all again with her.

I m sorry to inform you, that the only places you will be able to ski near lake Como are: Madesimo (Medium/good ski resort) about 60 km from Varenna, 148km from Milan or Piani di Bobbio (average) 31 km from Varenna and 78 km from Milan. To be honest, it's not the Dolomites, Aosta Valley or Switzerland.

I love Lake Como! I'm wondering if I could live in that area full-time, or is it strictly seasonal? I am looking for a home in Italy, just dreaming right now. My perfect areas would be Todi, loved that, or somewhere in Piedmont. But Lake Como was so impressive. It might be too cold for me, though. Love you guys. Love how much fun you have on every episode.
