I think he heard the question wrong and may have heard what word rhymes with brain.
I think it's a phenomenon where he made the question into something he was more comfortable with. I feel that when one hears something wrong, it at least needs to sound similar. "Starts with" and "Rhymes with" don't sound at all similar. He changed it in his brain.

Fast money round is way diff than playing the app on yr phone or guessing the answers by watching it on t.v. It's way more intense, & the pressure is severe so it doesn't mean the person is dumb, it's more bout what's at stake that would make a person blow the money to 5 easy questions thus, I can see how people get up there & get nervous & mess the whole thing up with a shit load of ppl watching them on top of that. Just some food for thought to all the negative comments
