That draw with jazza jumpscare awakened something buried in my past oml I forgot about him
Aww how can you forget Jazza? lol
For the markers: those markers seemed pretty bad because they were overfilled so they bled through easily, though I think the paper you used wasn’t ideal because it’s best to use smooth paper for markers. Also note that markers aren’t usually used to make realistic pieces, but rather more cartoonish styles
thank you for the tips 🫡
They can totally be used for realism, but you need some skill with blending. But there are definitely easier ways of doing realism XD
I remember getting these exact markers at the dollar store!
Although it has different packaging, the names are the exact same. (I immediately recognized Cool Grey)
I have these markers because my mom said ohuhu was too expensive//real
“This is a job for like, Draw With Jazza” 😭💀
Be careful with the gel pens, it erase by applying heat (friction between the paper and the eraser), in France we can't use them for exams because if the teacher let them in their car in the heat for exemple, everything disappears ! So if you want a durable drawing or notes, don't use them, but you can use them to do a sketch, then ink everything and heat the drawing with a hairdryer ✨
in case ur wondering how the pens work, the ink is made so that when it heats up, it disappears. when you rub off the ink with the little bump, the kinetic energy produces heat and makes it disappear.
WHAAAAAAAAAAAAT
kinetic energy just threw me back to fifth grade

For anyone curious, erasable pens involve an ink that goes invisible with heat. The rubber causes friction which creates heat. That’s why the tips page had a thermometer. My guess is the people that got pens that don’t work is because the in, got way too hot. You can sometimes put them in the freezer to fix that. If you write with an erasable pen and stick it in the freezer it kinda comes back as well.
it's also possible that they just didn't remove the protections for the tips of the pen which happens to way too many people (usually after a little bit you realize but there are people who don't have the patience or spirit to find out).
Oh I didn’t know about the freezer thing that’s COOL af
lol haha…. Okey I’ll Leave
@@vaelia1203 yeah that too but it’s good to understand how these pens work so if there’s issues you know why. Major examples is my ma forgot her pens in her car….we live in Arizona. It got up to 120 that day and now her pens no longer work.
@@UnderTheMoon3 it’s a cool way to do “secret” messages of sorts. Also if you don’t want to risk ripping your paper up as sometimes the rubber nibs do that, you can just use a blow dryer though it’s a bigger surface area.
Just don’t be like me and forget the pen you wrote in is erasable and set hot food on your note book.

we love u camileon ❤️
also, erasable pens typically work because the rubber erasers generate friction/heat as you rub across the paper! erasable pen ink typically is heat activated, so when you rub on the paper (and generate small amounts of heat from the friction) they erase!!
the more you know 🧠
man art supplies to me are like.. do they work ok and are not horrible? five stars
Exactly
You should generally use either mixed media paper or dedicated marker paper for alcohol markers! They don't really work as well on any other paper, in a way they're similar to watercolours as you've observed. I've heard they can also work well on parchment/deli paper, and that would also be a cheap option.
For blending, you have to go over the colours a bunch of times, that's why you need sturdy paper.
Came for the reviews, stayed for the vibes, subscribed for the art.

I used to have these markers! I had a 120 pack. Most of them were indeed grey (I did get quite a few purples as well. The colour I had the least amount of, was orange. It had standard orange and a slightly darker orange, but that was it).
They work pretty well, but don't blend, since they dry quickly. Because they dry quickly, when colouring, you have to be fast, or else you will have some ugly lines going through your drawing. They're not that great for detailing, but rather just flat colour. They also bleed quite a lot.
After using them, you will learn better techniques of using them.
Basically, when using them, be quick and you'll also have to go over the same spot several times to keep it wet and make it all one solid colour. After using them for years, I learnt to leave a slight gap around where I wanted them to go, since they bleed and will fill in that gap (idk if that makes sense???)
There are a lot of markers like those ones, that are called 'touch____', with a different word at the end. Weird, but they all work the exact same.

In the end you don't end up saving anything if you buy "cheap" art supplies that only last for one work unless you plan on doing just one work.. You are gonna have to buy good quality anyways on top of the crap that you will have to throw out and generate plastic waste and waste of shipping. So just buy the better quality if you plan on using it more than once, it's worth it and it will save your nerves too :)
It keeps making me giggle every time the text flashes on screen 🔥💥🔥ULTIMATE TEST🔥🔥💥

You rate these art supplies too high 😭 You made some amazing pieces, I hope that this channel is making enough money to help with art school!
Gel Ink pens "erase" their ink by applying heat with friction from the eraser. The ink turns clear with heat. Put ice or an ice pack on the disappeared ink and it'll probably show up again. :)
Oh my gosh, these portraits are sooooo well-done. I was a little skeptical at first, but you managed to them so well and so creative, it's admirable!
You definitely went easy on the art supplies lol 😆 I would definitely rank them lower bc they probably won't last too long, the first one was already running out of color, even if it's cheap, I don't think it's worth it, but you definitely made the best of it with your technique. They are okay, a solid 3, at least for me.
I'm literally watching this for the third time, I don't know why this video gives me so much serotonin honestly
PS: I LOVE AND SEEN ALL YOUR VIDEOS I LOVE WHAT YOU DO (YOUR ART AND VIDEO STYLE AND HUMOUR)
The second one w the markers gave me PTSD flashbacks from middle school when me and everyone else was trying to draw w copic markers and getting enraged at the lack of blending + lots of bleeding combined w lack of skill 🤠
The commission paid is to let the viewer know that if they the viewer bought the product through that particular video the creator will get a small percentage of that sell. Paid partnership is for those who was paid to make that video, or the company bought the video from the creator to use as an ad, or if you don’t have TikTok shop in your country then anything related to shopping through the app would be considered a paid partnership. 15:38 the style! It’s crazy how different art supplies can totally affect how you draw!
I work primarily in alcohol markers, and they come in that weird variety of colors because they want you to buy the bigger sets 😋 the first set I ever got when I was around 12 literally had no red😧 like none it was annoying because I remember having to layer the brighest pink and then orange until I got a somewhat reddish color. also to blend them you have to make sure you add your second color while the first one it still wet, or else it's just gonna spread and push the first color away and make that weird look you were struggling with🩷
it also helps if you have the colorless blender to put down a wet layer first then quickly use the shades you want to blend. and sometimes you can rewet the area with it too.
I just found your channel randomly, and I wanted to let you know that I experienced the same existential crisis in design school. The assignments were ridiculous, bizarre, and seemingly meaningless. I enjoyed art and was good at it, but eventually I came to a point where I realized that design and art work is not for me, especially if it was going to resemble what we did in classes. Basically, my heart really desired to learn and do hard things (even if it was less "fun"). I'm not saying this is you, but I've been in your position before. In the end, I switched to mechanical engineering. It's like design- you still have to create to overcome problems, but the work is so much more rewarding and applicable. I'm not saying design work is not valuable, but if you're struggling with finding value with art, I would attempt to create for a different (potentially more physical, mechanical, dynamic) purpose. Mechanical Engineering is extremely difficult and it is not the walk in the park that design was- but I actually use what I'm learning irl and the way I perceive the world is changing because I'm starting to understand more of how things work. All I'm saying is that the designer to engineer pipeline exists 😎. You got this.
Thank you so much for highlighting the comment! That's so sweet 😊. As a P.S. my comment was meant to encourage you wholeheartedly!! Here's a final thought: as an engineer, or other technical student, it would also be possible to graduate, but then decide to become a designer professionally. However, it wouldn't really be possible to go the other way (graduate designer, try to get an engineering job). This is just a little message to say "Try something new if you're feeling stuck!" 💖
The erasing of the pen works from heat from rubbing the rubber (lol) against paper. That’s why it doesn’t work when you try to slowly erase like you do with pencil
This, I use those types of pens all the time (more for writing than drawing, mind you) and never had an issue erasing them on most papers. You also need to wait for the ink to dry before erasing or it will smudge.
it's so weird not seeing her as a painting 😭 I can't help but think she's a moving painting
Camila apologizing in Spanish is the cutest thing
Alcohol markers tend to bleed through a lot of types of papers. Some thicker ones like marker paper and bristol paper are better for alcohol markers if you don’t want bleed-through. Also, for blending, you have to go over the two colors more than just one basic swipe through. You have to go back and forth a bit and can keep layering them since they draw quickly. Alcohol markers are best for illustrations that will become prints and not for selling as original artwork because they are not lightfast. I haven’t tried the Touch brand but have a bunch of Copics and some Ohuhu; I prefer the brush nibs rather than bullet nibs.
I just saw a video from Chloe Rose Art and I guess Grabie also has some brush marker nibs for their paint markers.
I have some Pilot FriXion gel pens which are similar to the ones you got.
Your artwork came out nicely!
I prefer brush tips for alcohol markers, it makes blending easier and just gives smoother experience. BUT alcohol markers in my experience is usually paired with other tools like pencil colors or pastels. I usually use them for the background color so i can add into the coloured part
AAAAA HABLAS ESPAÑOOOL, GRACIAS A DIOS. hablas muy bien los dos idiomass 😭😭😭 bueno, amo tu arte. gracias por todo, bendita sean tus manos 😭❤️
I have those markers but with a like 150 pack and they dry out really quickly. To help stop the excessive bleeding I find it helpful if you just use them really lightly and quick for the smaller details. Also to blend you kinda have to keep going over and over the colors causing them to bleed together and blend! Overall I really enjoyed this video, and I would love to see you try out better alcohol markers in the future!
The “do Nat buy hehe well i bought it sista” got me😭
the fact that the paintbrushes were just for you?? the review was 10/10 pls you’re so funny, but honestly go off and spoil yourself lol! plus all the portraits came out very good! and ik you say you didn’t like the markers too much, but i think that portrait ended up looking amazing too!! perhaps i might buy these art supplies now..🤔

lmaooo yeah the bleeding markers are alcohol markers, I love them although yeah they kinda hard to use lol

the gel pen's ink can be erased because it reacts to heat. when you scrub the eraser, its friction heats up the ink and removes it.
Most of this stuff would be good for calligraphy

The first product works super well, you just need the right material for it so it doesn’t bleed through. Yes, I indeed bought these😅
For anyone thinking of getting the grabie paint markers, i would recommend NOT getting them. My issues with them:
-I've noticed the color tends to separate? Idk how to describe it, but the color will be inconsistent. Like, I was coloring with a light purple once, and I noticed waaaay too late that the color of the ink had changed while I was using it? I had to give it a good shake before it changed back to its initial shade. Honestly, sometimes even when I give the pen a shake, it'll still come out inconsistent, and I have to repeat the process tons of times to get it to work. This happens at anytime, whether I'm in the middle of using them or haven't used them in awhile. Doesn't matter.
- the tips dry out way too easily. I'm constantly having to pump the pens. I'm not sure if there is something going on with the material of the tip or if maybe these pens just have awful ink flow?? Either way, it makes for a very frustrating experience.
-they do not layer well. I don't know why they struggle to layer, but I've found I can barely add a second layer.
All in all, I've seen very mixed reviews across the board. Some really like these paint makers and have a *fantastic* experience with them. Others do not (like me). This makes me think there may be some inconsistency in production and very poor quality control issues. Honestly, I'd recommend saving your money for another paint marker and skip over these :/
I get so triggered when marker packages don’t have the colors in order. Idk if it’s just me BUT JUST ORGANIZE THE COLORS IN THE PACKAGE 😭
been following you on tiktok for years and just discovered you have youtube 😣😣 immediately buying merch ahaha
your art is like food being served at a 5 star restaurant
I was always wondering if they're actually good or not but there was no videos of testing them but ads. So thank you then
omg this review is soooo preppy
LMAO
I have touch markers and I’ve had them for about two months THERE SO GOOD people need to close the caps right
The markers from tik tok almost look like the same exact brand that is usually sold at ROSS omg. They're not the best but are good for quick art/sketch, or blocking in large colors and such. Blending is like non existent but, when its the only thing you can afford, work with what you have right? I used them a lot in late middle school all throughout high school. I usually see them selling in bulk for like 14.99$ at ROSS so if you can't afford copic markers, I think they're an okay-ish alternative, just definitely not the best. Don't put high expectations and work with what you have, most importantly have fun!
This was actually so entertaining…. If you ever stopped making videos I would CRY
The gen pens have a specific ink formula that doesn't absorb into the paper but sits on top. Its not the best thing for art but it is a cool stationary supply to have.
The fact people think some markers/pens etc are bad is wild and I can agree if I saw it for myself honestly but I did get a pack of makers on Amazon idk the price anymore bc am forgetful but one just ONE marker came in just dead flat dead didn’t work at all so I got rid of it.
Others worked fine 🤞hopefully I didn’t misplace my money on crappie makers…. I WANNA DRAW MEN.
As someone who loves my grabie markers they do pill the paper if you don't let layers properly dry and they and get pretty hard to shake if they are not used for a while but you can just give it a hit and they will shake just fine
not the draw with jazza call-out I forgot that was his old user omg
Using the same brushes for over ten years... so relatable
i love the explosions , thank you
love it. about hose alcohol markers, you should try it with special alcohol marker paper. it'll work way better
"Pastel yellow? Pastel my bAlls bro." That got me good lol
😅 the art supplies are initially good but longevity wise it’s not gonna last more than a month let alone a year
Those paint brushes that you said you didn’t know what they were used for are for blending (at least that’s what I use them for- 😭)
Every single issue your having with the alcohol markers is because of the paper your using, not the pens. I’ve got some of these n I really like them. I have copics too and have hardly touched them since I got these. I’ve got the biggest set which I think is 160 Pens and then a 48 pack. My issue with these is the mis labelling and inconsistency of the colours. I’ve got Pens in each set that are numbered and named the same but are completely different colours inside. Other times the numbers will match but the names are different and then vice versa aswel. It’s a shame because I have no complaints about them other than this and tbh for the price I paid (the massive set was free from TEMU for playing the fish game and the smaller set was from TikTok and cost me £2) I really can’t moan
@11:11 Bless you!

The new OHUHU Bleedthrough marker pad is Witchcraft, nothing goes past it and you can use both sides on a sheet!
the only reason the markers were bleeding it's because you need a specific type of paper for them to work and mix well :)
Idk if anyone has commented it yet but be careful exposing those pen drawings to heat because it can erase the whole thing.
Does it come back when the pictures in a colder environment or?
Interesting
@bronwen6484 it can, but it needs to be super cold
I find it funny that I have these exact markers, but they're called ,,Touch MIKA" (The ,,touch'' is literally written in the same way, but the second part is a way different font lmao)
I had the same reaction the first time I tried an erasable pen. Wasn't mine but I was tempted to steal it from one of my classmates lmao
This whole video has me laughing so hard, as someone who uses alcohol markers a lot, would not recommend Touch markers for long term artists haha
The way I absolutely gasped when the gel markers actually erased so well!! So satisfying 😼
4:55 I have those marker but it is a 80 pack one, and they are not bad. What I like about it is that it will not dry out if u forget to close the led for a couple of hours
Btw forgot to add this, the marks work so well if you blend them with colored pencils
I have 80 pcs touch markers too, I agree with your comment.
i have the 168 pack....
This is the first time I see the Grabie markers as having only 1 star, most are positive about these. I wouldn’t mind having these myself, I think, although I might search a bit more whether they last or dry out too soon
Beautiful artwork though ❤
I seriously get the feel you like using gouache far more than any other of the media but they’re all nice and of course paint mixes better than all the other which are just 1 color each, given an entirely different sort of artwork. It’s all gorgeous, I’ll bet all these people would love the result, maybe not 100% but still a lot
You could use the shavings from a sharpener and still make a masterpiece
