I remember when Baron, Stalin and Sparrow use to come over to my grandmothers house alll the time in Brooklyn I didn’t really understand how important they were until I because a teenager. I’m 30 now and to this day, listening to their music is soo nostalgic and enjoyable!!!
This song takes me back to Guyana. OMG , it used to be playing everywhere. I love Mighty Sparrow too. He sang Marajin What a close United culture we have in the Caribbean.
My husband is not Indian or even from the West Indies but on our wedding night I probably danced to this song about 25 times...a bit much, I know...lol
Beautiful song.. Thanks to Brylon stalin .He knows the culture.. love the lyrics.. Thanks for uploading this beautiful song.. ..❤❤❤ I used to dance to this tune at Christmas party at school.
Trinidad and Tobago is a multi cultural place and what the calypsonians see is the fact that love braked the racial barrier, the fact that persons from different races and cultural background could meet and fall in love and the food adds to the flavor as well
I don't think all the younger Trinis in their 40s do like Indian culture nor their music. They don't mind trying out Indian cuisines but yes, you are right .There were much better relationships from the 50s and 60s. Culturally.
Well said but that's all over the world black men have been taught to be ashamed of themselves so much so that every chance they get they shy away from their own beautiful women
He is so different from the other SOCA artists......and I'm an black American living in Orlando Florida, I think I choose a good SOCA MUSIC
Still a nice jam 2023
To me this song is still a big heat in todays parties 2023. Again for the people that know what music is about.
That was a master pc by Baron.

The reason why they sing about Indian women is because we are a cosmopolitan nation and curiosity killed the cat. 😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬
