My dad died a couple of day ago because of pancreatic cancer 💔 he was 53. It is so heartbreaking I hate this disease 😔
I am so sorry for your loss, I completely know how you feel. I was 14 years old when I lost my dad to brain and skin cancer in 2009 and it was extremely hard.

I live in one of the cities that they filmed the movie and it is still so beautiful and reminds me of that special time. I love to reminisce of Patrick and the movie that I love. He had it all and my heart breaks that he has passed away. May his memory live on in all those who loved him.

Love this movie and yes I've seen it well over 100 times too through the 35 years since its release in 1987. It's a classic that will never grow old and you can watch it again and again and again. Love this movie 🎬, love the actors and the dancers, music 🎶 and the film locations 😁❤️. Still cool 😎

I live near Lake Lure N.C. where they filmed the lake lift scene, they still to this day have a Dirty Dancing festival each year. Its an enormous turn out. People come from everywhere, If Lisa Niemi should up, it would be like the Beetles came to town.

So very sad that Patrick had so much more of his talent to give to the universe. He was taken much, much too soon. But, if we, as humans, can leave just one lasting memory or gift to this world when we pass, then Patrick certainly outdid himself with this film. It is timeless and will be enjoyed for generations to come.
