Good explanation of how the tool works, I will be using that same tool to install my new inner tie rod ends in the near future. Like me many people are visual learners, and your videos are extremely helpful.

Oh wow, that’s no fun. That sounds like it’s seized inside…😬
Have you verified there isn’t any additional lock-rings installed that are not allowing part to pop out?
      Is the part rusted?

I am using the same tool to remove my inner tie rod but it is stuck on the tie rod that is still on the car and will not come off. Was trying to check if the tie rod is secured with a metal pin.

Not big enough for my sequoia.
A pipe wrench did wonders. The rental tools did not. Weren’t big enough. Don’t forget to turn the steering wheel all the way. More room to work.

Yeah this was awkwardly bulky and doesn’t work if it’s slipping off every 2 seconds. I myself love the clamp style

This thing didn't work at all for me. My inner tie rod is really stuck and the wrenches keep bending.

@@DIYwithMichaelBorders From my research, the GM might have used red loctite and it needs to be heated by a torch to remove it. I'm gonna try that later on today.

@@DIYwithMichaelBorders There was indeed red loctite on the inner tie rod ends of my chevy trailblazer. After heating the inner tie rod end with a propane torch, it came off easily with a crescent wrench. The tool was not to blame, I'm sure it would have worked if I had heated the tie rod end in the first place. That being said, there was no need for a $100 tool if I could just use a $7 wrench from walmart. (happened to be on clearance). For those wondering, Chevy Trailblazers have red loctite on the inner tie rod ends so an alignment can be done without them coming unscrewed.
