Good explanation of how the tool works, I will be using that same tool to install my new inner tie rod ends in the near future. Like me many people are visual learners, and your videos are extremely helpful.
Thank you Dale, and we are standing ready to help you when that DIY inner Tie Rod project begins.
Keep us posted on how it goes. 👍

Great help!!
I tried this tool last nite for 3 hrs tryna get the tie rod off a 2015 chevy impala i gave up after that it was stuck on there good

Oh wow, that’s no fun. That sounds like it’s seized inside…😬
Have you verified there isn’t any additional lock-rings installed that are not allowing part to pop out?
Is the part rusted?
Thank you so much that saved me
Good morning ☕️
Great to hear, thanks for sharing this. Enjoy your upcoming weekend. 👍
I am using the same tool to remove my inner tie rod but it is stuck on the tie rod that is still on the car and will not come off. Was trying to check if the tie rod is secured with a metal pin.
Unlock inner tool first no impact tools!
Got it

Good morning ☕️
Thanks for watching and sharing this. Great to hear you got it resolved. How did the remaining portion of project go?
I liked your workbench as well. Where is available for purchase? Thanks
Thank you, this workbench has been great. Below is a link to a video where all items will be listed in the comments and description section.

Definitely check it out, thanks Thomas.
Not big enough for my sequoia.
A pipe wrench did wonders. The rental tools did not. Weren’t big enough. Don’t forget to turn the steering wheel all the way. More room to work.
That tip helped me, thank you.
Yeah this was awkwardly bulky and doesn’t work if it’s slipping off every 2 seconds. I myself love the clamp style
This thing didn't work at all for me. My inner tie rod is really stuck and the wrenches keep bending.
Good morning ☕️ that’s wild. Any update?
@@DIYwithMichaelBorders From my research, the GM might have used red loctite and it needs to be heated by a torch to remove it. I'm gonna try that later on today.

Very cool, looking forward to hearing back from you. 🧰
@@DIYwithMichaelBorders There was indeed red loctite on the inner tie rod ends of my chevy trailblazer. After heating the inner tie rod end with a propane torch, it came off easily with a crescent wrench. The tool was not to blame, I'm sure it would have worked if I had heated the tie rod end in the first place. That being said, there was no need for a $100 tool if I could just use a $7 wrench from walmart. (happened to be on clearance). For those wondering, Chevy Trailblazers have red loctite on the inner tie rod ends so an alignment can be done without them coming unscrewed.
