Ribblehead Viaduct

The Ribblehead Viaduct,part of the railway route Settle to Carlisle. The route was nearly closed many years ago, and the amazing Viaduct was in danger of demolition.
Fortunately following a huge public campaign it was saved and is regularly used for commercial, passenger, and occasional steam journeys.

Incredible to think that this was ever considered for demolition.
