tbf Darius does counter Kamilie early on, Wunder tho just intend again and again and again, he made it super easy for Adam

Can we take a moment to appreciate how good the casters are? This was no doubt LEC's best split in history. Both teams, production and casters made such an epic job.. I'm so entertained.

I think it is because of rekkles champion pool. After game 3, FNC attack rekkles with second round ezreal and xayah bans.
Counter picked the wrong person tbh. Hyli was really pivotal especially with his playmaking/engages, but the TF was the one who made it a little bit easier. Idk how G2 thought TF wasn't a big deal.
LEC sure as hell know how to properly hype up a game. The way they build the tension, and then playing 'Reckless With My Heart' over the draft. Why do I have the feeling that even finals will seem shallow after this

I feel that way too. For me, even if they lose to RGE or MAD I couldn't care less. All that mattered was to settle the score with G2. The storyline between the two teams was the best thing for me. Straight out of an anime.

Hit me too man, really wanted both teams in worlds. Like even T1 made it. Would be a 2019 worlds feelings. But Yamato put faith in bwipo going jungle and bwipo suggested Adam for the top role. In all honestly, Wunder threw it for G2. That play at 13:22 was a WTF moment. Even tho fucking 20 second before that, Wunder outplays Adam. Sorry to say this, but Wunder has to be dropped.

I mean I know everyone spams NA KEKW, but G2 looks straight up like some NA team like TSM, great talent YES, but decision making and awareness was REALLYY confusing. FNC got the win which is what matters but they are so much better then G2 that they should not have needed a game 5

Have to agree, if LCK or LPL could have this level of hype with the champ select music alone, would be hype as when series go to 5 match. LEC makes these playoffs seem like a Mini worlds.
This wasnt even a competition today, fnatic threw a game but they were clearly superious in every way, gj to yamato and his team.

@@mammipocco4911 People hate Hyli for his insanely dangerous playstyle. He's insanely good, but his deaths always look avoidable if he wasn't in a certain place at a certain time.
But when it works, it's works damn well.
After the 5th place in spring with Nisqy struggeling and people asking to replace Yamato, they not only stepped up but they stayed in their comfort zone of fighting everywhere over the whole smer split. It was not perfection, but it was damn well played in many situations, peaked in this series.
Also G2 had really great moments, I am a huge fan of them and hoped that they would win and go to worlds. But in the end, their early game was not that good as Fnatics and Mads. So, they are an awesome 4th team right now, but it is just not enough in this LEC, full of great teams.
Congrats to Fnatic, cheer up G2!

Bro I first saw 4 games uploaded and I knew from watching the live G2 had a 2-1 lead and I was like "they made it!". Then I refreshed youtube, saw the last game uploaded after pgl vid, immediately understood what it meant, watched that last game.. iwl Ive been a huge supporter of G2, but still happy about FNC qualified for Worlds! Proud to have a Frenchy comrade among the goats! Now I need to wipe my nose and keep believing for Adam to hold the cup above his head 🤷♂️😁 (tbh, Chinese and Korean teams are just too scary xD Can't wait for Worlds!)

Still too early to make a statement on Adam, but if the kid keeps it up he might as well Just be the Soaz of his generation. Theres Just something about french toplaners, Soaz Cabochard Adam, they Just know how to top
korean teams aint scary anymore unlike in the past . rn only dawon is good . china is more scary and i feel liek they the favoruite to win this year especially considering worlds gonna be on their home turf
@@simpleshebang308 Korean league is a lot more competitive, while not always as exciting... the top 5 or 6 teams all seemed in contention through out, but in LEC it basically Fnatic and G2 for a while now, but finally G2 should stop bragging, they been too arrogant since getting Craps...

LPL is also a really stacked league right now compared to all the regions in the worlds with their top 7-8 teams being really strong

Fnatic was just better today. Adam outplayed Wunder, Bwipo ended up outsmarting Jankos, Nisqy’s TF was everywhere, and Upset had a top-level series. I like G2 too but this year they did not deserve Worlds as a team.

It takes like 20 sec before they show G2 after the game. More likely they fistbumped when they were still sitting and camera wasnt showing G2.
What a throw in early top. Can’t help but feel that the laid back approach has caught up with him. And the coaching staff need to seriously rethink the previous 4 games in terms of providing their players comfort picks in line with win conditions.

hylli being confident enough to play aggressive champs like pyke while mikyx stuck in braum
and upset just playing more aggressive and having a huge kda while rekkles just kind of stand around for the most part
this fnatic squad deserved to go to worlds, as for g2 back to the drawing board im sad to say...
the environment in the fnc team is so amazing, hily after the first game of pike he was insecure about this peak but his teammate said “u really played well last game u can go pike again”

I didn't see any proactivity from G2 this series, they look very lost right now. FNC definitely deserved this and I hope they do well at worlds.

I don't know how often Darius gets picked in pro (last time I remember was the dreaded but fun juggernaught patch) but you can tell Adam is feeling himself after this.
He gets picked a couple times a split, almost always as an anti-meta counterpick. Last split iirc he saw play into Mundo.

I really think Jankos is the glue for G2 and most of the year Jankos playstyle was out of meta. Combine that with a bit too little effort early on means they just couldnt catch up.

This was my favourite fnc lineup..I know it's not perfect but comeon rookie top bwipo toplaner turned into Jungler..still they managed to beat g2
In a sense, I feel a bigger sense of satisfaction. Not only for FNC gaining entrance to worlds, but Rekkles failing. He gave up on the team that made him the player that he is and chose the apparent easy option and join G2. He thought it would be a sure thing. It just goes to show it doesn't matter what team you're in, it's your mindset. And Rekkles's ambition blinded him. He thought he was the best, but pro league is not about 1 player, it's about the team. I'm glad his decision to swap teams was not rewarded. I could see it in his face when they lost, he was pissed and embarrassed at the same time, and for a moment, I'm sure the thought of "I made a mistake leaving FNC" crossed his mind right there and then.
I like rekkles, but man you said everything, I miss him but when I see how good the upset is, sometimes it's not so much needed. rekkles made a bad decision to leave fnatic, the team played for him, he was the star, everyone trusted him and expected him to shine so they could come out with the victory. At g2 he's just another player, as much as they have a lot of individual talents the rest is pretty bad

Wunder staying after he killed Adam to give him the return kill was the series summarised in a minute. G2 did some good stuff but a few mistakes were punished. The better team won the series.

I remember back in the day I was looking the first game they won then they lost 2nd game and I hardly looked at the 3rd game and I saw they lost it. So I basically gave up, I could not watch it anymore it. So during the 4th game I was just doing something else. And I just checked like a moment later and I saw it was 2 - 2. It was so intense my heart raced so fucking hard, I don't know why I kinda felt the pressure these guys were in a bit. Then draft started the music played and I started to be real emotional. It was just draft and I was already in tears like wtf ?! It was the first time and still today the last time I cried watching something in my entire life lol that's crazy to me, I really loved that FNC roster too hard
Wunder played 70 ranks in a single season. I think he deserves this lose.
He died for zero reason top lane for a minion he didn't even get. Plus he was against 3 tanks and built trinity (a bad item right now) over sunderer the most broken item in the game atm thats just more than busted on camille. He did no damage. He deserved to lose yeah.
@@evo3481 does Camille, a champ than has 1k true damage every 3 secs need Sunderer? For short trades and if he’s looking for bursts, maybe. But Trinity enables him to keep his ground against Darius (who doesn’t get bursted that easily, no matter if he is ahead or not). Wunder has made a lot of mistakes this game but his item choice is probably not one of them. GG FNC!
@@youraveragegrandma568 she absolutely needs sunderer. It provides a heal every proc and %armor pen. The real reason why sunderer on camille is broken is cz she can convert the sheen proc into true damage with the second part of her q. Thats 12% max health true damage every second q hit that heals her for 65% of the damage it did.
@@evo3481 Camille doesnt actually need sunderer to play, if you can actually keep attaacking and build up triforce it deals more damage than sunderer, plus he played a lot on the split and the damage to turrets is massively important.
All your points are '' Camille needs it because item good '' but you dont actually think about the nature of the items and how they work with his job in that game. He sucked ass at many things but choosing triforce over sunderer in that game was not the wrong choice or the reason they lost.
@@CoachAibax his job in the game was to carry. He sucked ass at it (maybe the lack of max health true damage) so they changed tactics and started funneling into tristana and he was relegated to split pushing and in no world does triforce out damages sunderer.

Can someone please explain to me what Wunder tried to do at 13:19? Why does he stay? I feel like that play was pure inting, which tilted G2. That play wasted G2 their entire year, I feel. Or am I missing something?
I think he expected for Jankos to be able to join the skirmish when he challenged Adam, since Bwipo seemed to move away from the lane. Turns out he miscalculated, since Jankos needed a little more time to help him despite the movespeed from the mist, and Bwipo was already waiting by the bush. All in all, it was on him. Was it the nerves or the tilt from being forced to Game 5 who knows.
I had goosebumbs when Rekkles with my Heart came on during the champ select. This an Anime like moment
Honestly sad to see my boy Rekkles get snubbed like this by a piss performance from his team mates BUT Fnatic are playing such great LoL and honestly think they deserve worlds more. Send our best not our weakest. Gl Fnatic, rooting for you guys.
Only team mate that cost it for them was Wunder. Cap, Jankos and Miky couldn’t do shit since Daruis became a huge threat to the game. They did EVERYTHING to stop the bleeding. Wunder doesn’t know how much tempo they spent trying to get Wunder the gold so he could be back into game. They even threw the laning phase out the Window so Wunder wouldn’t make Adam unstoppable. But it was already to late.

As much as I wanted to see Rekkles and G2 at worlds as well, seeing how scared Rekkles played at the final moments where he was the last one alive around the fountain made me feel like it just wasn't his year. I keep hoping he'll step up in a different way, and play the way he's capable of, but it just isn't happening now. Still hoping to see him unlock it consistently, but something would have to change.
On the other side, fanatic is tapping into exactly what he himself needs. Hope they keep shaking things up. GG.
If Reckless doesn't retire i will give it to him as one of the most mentally if not the most mentally strong player in the world. Imagine joining a team with the idea that you will dominate the season, yet you get style'd on by some no name rookies and the team you quit for a "better team"

Even if they made mistakes in previous games, FNC was by far a better team. Huge diff between the top and the mid. Upset is an excellent adc. Sad for Rekkles to can't go to Worlds after leaving FNC.

This breaks my heart. I'm a huge fan of both. I'm a huge fan of rekkles. It broke my heart when he left FNC but adam and upset really grew on me. But still I wanted to see Rekkles achieve his dreams of winning worlds. I know he sacrificed a lot for it. It breaks my heart. I'm happy to see hyli going to worlds on his last year, im happy to see yamato's words not failing the team, but it really hurts to see rekkles miss worlds.

Still he is a rookie, which doesnt mean that hes worse then veterans or whatever, but we really didnt see much from him yet to judge him.

I think I'd take Yamato's explanation on PGL on why they don't put out the Darius that much: it all depends on the comp and the status of the game. Camille to Darius is a good matchup. Moreover, Adam's Mundo wasn't really bad in the last games. The fault was more on the classic FNC throw game inting.
Is it Rekkles curse at this point? First Elements, now G2.
