+Оля Кузнецова Well it has been a long day... :)
:D

that's the magic jar where he can turn the lights off just simply touching it
2:03 - the porn tab suddenly unmutes
studioviper THAT LOOK
+studioviper Thanks for letting us know you didn't watch the last technique.
+M Stromkraft Thanks for letting us know you're german ;)
+Milan Kokeza I disagree that only germans are bright enough to understand the content of a video.
"woaahow" xDD lmao
Man, I love these videos. Not videos with a lot of "advertising" and so many things; just people explaining and knowing what they are doing, not just "THIS EFFECT IS THE ARTIST'S EFFECT"
These are tutorial. Great job! (the Resampled Reverb is what I was searching and is awesome, I love this effect. Thanks!)
For those interested in recreating that first sound, in the oscillator A tab change the following:
- Attack to around 1s
- Sustain to -inf
- Waveform to SquareD
And ofcourse copy the settings for the filter tab from the video.
It's not exactly the same, but it is as close as i could get it.
MMMMMMMMMM
Oh it's the "acapella "
hello
Mad Zach, always informative, concise and entertaining. 💯
It seems like he got really enlightened on some intense journeys. So calm and peaceful, really enjoy watching him explaining anything, which he does in an amazing way. Thank you !
Love this! Been looking for some reverb tactics
Thank you so much for showing how to do this. So happy. Subscribed
That first effect was awesome. Thanks for the video. It gave me some neat ideas for transitions in a couple arrangements I'm working on.
You're one of the best tutors i've watched online, very easy to follow! Thank you :D

You're the best!! thanks for posting such helpful videos!!
+Adnan Alsannaa But how you make that operator sound in the beginning around 00:30?
I've used a number of AutoPans on Reverb to get the swirling effect, but technique 1 is VERY very awesome! Great info and a great tutorial, Mad Zach! Stealing the term Vocapella.
The last one is reeeeaally genius and helpful, thanks
I love you Zach, I’ve learn so much within the pass year, watching your videos! Keep up the good work. Sincerely, Grand Daddy Frost/ Cold Current Beats

Good stuff man. And I laughed my ass off at the "Mmm mmmm"-- "Shit, we're having all kinds of problems." Lol. And the "it's been dying to come out this whole time" comment... Learned stuff & laughed = A+ video :)
This is so awesome! Thanks :)
Thanks for teaching me something today.
Thanks for the tips! 😁
Fantastic, thank you!
Great tips dude!
Another technique that you can use instead of the third technique is the following:
- take a sample and create a copy, which you reverse.
apply reverb onto that reversed sample and record it.
- take only the release of the reverb (when the sound stops and the reverb still goes on)
- reverse it again and then place it in front of the original sample.
+RequiemInnocence (レクイエムイノセンス)
Take a sample. Let's say you've recorded someone saying "Hello".
Now you reverse it (It will sound something like "olleH").
Add reverb onto the reversed sample and export it as a sound file.
Checkpoint:
We have two sample files
- One of a plain (dry) recording of someone saying "Hello".
- Another of something sounding like "olleHhhhh..." (because of the reverb).
Got it? Good. Onto the next part.
Now you take that second sample and remove everything except for the end (the tail so to say), so you have "hhhh...".
Reverse this again, so you have "...hhh".
Checkpoint: We have two samples:
- One of a plain (dry) recording of someone saying "Hello".
- One of something sounding like "...hhhh"
Final bit:
Now you simply place that second sample in front of the first sample, giving you "...hhhhHello".
Some additional tips:
Assuming your placement is perfect, you shouldn't really have to need to crossfade the two samples, however you may consider doing so if it sounds strange.
Don't create only one reverb sample. Make multiple with different reverb settings, so that you can easily try out different ones without having to redo all of that again.
+RequiemInnocence (レクイエムイノセンス)
My pleasure. ;-)
yeah! that too!
+Linus Brendel , That's a great variation. But there's no need to export audio audio at all. You can more easily record PostFX or resample. The former is better IMHO.
Damn that reverb compression sound so nice!
lmao how high was mad zach when he made this
I use auto pan all the time but never on just the reverb, that's an amazing idea. Thanks Mad Zach!
He is like the most put together dude
Did you suddenly fall under the shadow of a death star?
hahah!!!!! too good
So useful thanks
great tips thanx
That was very interesting thank you
I like the resampling trick. I can see how it'd be a sick way to create long rising buildups (filtered or volumed) to a drop or another section.
very cool. thank you!
I've only just stared watching these Mad Zach vids. They're great. I really can'y understand the thumbs down. The crazy WWW. Thumbs up!!!!
great video tutorial.
well needed tut!
Great tutorial
last one was super helpful
Thank you!!
using a trackball mouse AND typing keyboard as a piano, this guy truly is mad I love it
Great technics..
Thank you!!!
Speaking of compressed reverb, I love to sidechain certain sounds (like BD's) over LONG ass, thick reverbed crashes, claps, snares etc. Its the best way I've found that lets you go mad with the reverb without losing ANY of the hard punch of the drums (or whatever your sidechaining into it). It has to be done using Sends/Returns though, otherwise you're gonna end up messing with the signal causing the reverb (which will mess up the reverb itself). Best for bass & beats heavy music.
the fucking lighting changing randomly is the best
nice tutorial!
Really good
thanks man!!
Dude ur awesome
Mad Zach is the man
Thank you :)
verb is my favorit effect since i was 7!(played with sounds with a deep watersystem holes). i use too much reverb, like to make lost sounds, tech2+texh3+much deeper with alil resonant yells. it is like you r in space with lsd
awesome thankyou
Hey nice video bro! In 3 I would also reverse the swell for more effecf
"you dont wanna put to much reverb"- Puts decay on 20sec... lmao
+CLDYEDITS I can imagine him doing a sandwich tutorial next. "You don't wanna put to much mayonaise." ...proceeds to dump the whole jar on the bread.
Almost spit my food out
for the wave effect (on any sound actually) i highly recommend the nicky romero plugin. its easy and genius!
The lfo trick is amazing....now i know how the movie music is made lol. thank you.
Reminds me of the TV serial; The Lost..the mysterious sound in that island.
Thank you!!! Until that moment i thought that sending reverb on return track the only way i can adjust it separately.
thanx!!
Great video
"Reverb is like Mayonaise..."
Subscribed :)
Hey that was Magical..... I wonder How we Achieve it in studio one
This video really made me laugh with the unexpected vocals and random dimming lights haha. Nice tips as well, thanks bro!!
Nice tutorial bro! #MadZachyZack #Reverbs #Neat
i love the intro :)
Nice!
mad zach is the man
SUPER MAD ZACH!

so cool video dude thnx u r god :3
man that's a soothing voice. I got ASMR from this 0.0
THIS HELPFUL
your my new favorite person. ever.
that was great
Oh god I thought I was getting good at this stuff but videos like this one show me how little I actually know and that sucks because the less I know the less possibilities I have.
I use Technique 3 to smooth out vocals with layers. Especially short choppy vocals u want a bit more out of.
Estas técnica me sirvieron
Awesome
he's friggin' hilarious. great video. solid info.
