- Look, If you had one shot, or one opportunity, to 1cc any shmup you ever wanted, in one moment. Would you clear it, or just let it slip?
His palms are sweaty. Knees weak, arms are heavy. Chips have fallen off the screen already, heli confetti.
He's nervous, but on the surface he looks calm and ready to drop bombs, but he keeps on forgetting it's no-bomb. The whole farm goes so loud he follows his route but the chips won't come down.
He's chocking, how, everybody's chocking now. The chains' run out, time's up. Over, BLAOW!

This is something that isn't overdue.
These last 5 or so months I've been working hard towards an Ura 2-ALL (*Though i've been playing the game for almost a year in total, also, my playtime was 833:54:22 after this clear). This week I finally managed to get my first clear! This is a rather important milestone for me, it feels good to have cleared it for once.
I still have a bit more to go though, I'd like to break 500m. I think I can do it if I practice 2-5 a bit more, it seems that the majority of my mistakes are on that stage. If I can no-miss the majority of that stage, 500m is definitely within my grasp!
Overal, it was an okay run. I hate how I keep getting 265m 1st loops, I can do much better but my execution is still lacking. Especially my 1-5 is particularly atrocious, I keep dropping a ton of points in the stage portion. It's a bit embarrassing to make a video of a run like this. My 2nd loop was decent up until 2-5, I even managed to no-miss to the 2-4 boss.
Though there were 2 parts in the 1st loop where I 100% deserved losing a life, but I managed to survive those through sheer luck (specifically, 10:38 and 16:46). Tiny CAVE hitboxes can perform a miracle sometimes. Hell, at 10:38 the bullet was in the very center of my ship and I still didn't die. I don't like mentioning how lucky I was, but it's important to face mistakes, is it not?
I'm not planning on adding any annotations to this video. I'll save those for when I get the 500m clear. So please look forward to it!

Ketsui is probably the best game in terms of making the second loop. Not only that it added deadly challenges, it also changes the way to scoring completely, and also changes how you play the second loop.
But don't have difficult spike like Progear 2nd loop
- Enemy have last resort bullet that shoot projectile when they died if you too far from them
- Enhance Bullet Speed and pattern
- Boss attack enhance and have additional phase
@@ShadowDariusEX Progear 2nd loop sends you back to the start of the stage if you die before the boss.
Man. This is my favorite game ever. I play this and literally have not a single complaint or nitpick. I love it to death. I can only clear the first loop on one credit though. I got a 2-All when I was in high school, but can't keep up with my teenage self these days.

Why is this so relatable! I also 1CCd several CAVE games when I was a teen but can't for the life of me keep up with my old self. I've been on a shmup binge lately and am working my way up on Mushihimesama... Already 1CCd both Original and Maniac on Novice... But that ain't much. Still trying to recover my shmup powers. Btw I liked this comment 3 years ago and now I found this video again, had to comment.

@@niespeludo I mean... Life gets in the way sometimes. I used to do a hobby (physical one; different to games) where I was probably among the top 0.1% in the world or better. Nowadays... Yeah there are probably (haven't kept up) children that could outperform me. It is what it is.
At least now when I can't move as well as I used to I'll be able to plonk my ass down and practice more shmups and perhaps it evens out. 😝

I dont get it, how do you keep you counter increasing if you're using the Alt Attack almost all the time? And in the first boss some bullets were converted to chips.
the final boss, not the true one, am i vaugely hearing "target locked" over and over?

I am definitely planning to buy DFK. I haven't bought it yet though because I haven't been in the mood to play anything other than Ketsui.
You know... I noticed that you could've No Missed this, Pazzy. I saw it in Stage 2 where you bombed once and then collected the bomb at the end of the stage...
The only big fudge-up I noticed was when the Stage 3 boss, Jamadhar, nearly got you and you had to bomb. I suppose there was no way out of it, but I feel like there was something that could've been done.
Bombing against the first gunship in Stage 4 was kind of a bad decision. And Cinderella Amber's second pattern... that's like the easiest one. I wouldn't have bombed.
And of course, Cinderella Amber took your first life, and from then on it was just constant bombing. I understand. But I feel like it had potential for a No Miss until that point. At least hold onto five bombs before you hit Evaccaneer. DOOM should take at least 2 or 3.

Thanks! This is played on Shmupmame 4.2. Although I own the PS3 version of Ketsui, playing on Shmupmame is much more comfortable to me.

No problem and thank you! I'd put Ketsui behind Daioujou, there's just something about Daioujou that connected with me more. Overall it just felt much more intuitive, natural and less buggy to me.
They're both great games though, but I believe Ketsui could've been a better game had it been a bit more polished.
I really like the music of Ketsui's first stage and I consider it really good. I own the original Dodonpachi Dai-Ou-Jou for my Japanese Playstation 2 and I really like it, but I need to practice a lot to get closer to your skill level. Do you like the Mushihimesama series too? I subscribed to your channel and will follow your new videos.
The music in Ketsui and Daioujou is really good! I especially like some of the arrange album soundtracks. These remixes of Hibachi's and Doom's themes are super amazing to me:

It takes a lot of effort to improve at DOJ/Ketsui, but if you put in the time then I'm sure you'll be able to do it! The most important thing is to actually enjoy playing the games though, otherwise you're gonna feel really bad while you're playing. Although I bought Mushihimesama on Steam the day it released, I've only spent a very small amount of time on the game. I think I might play it some more in the future. Though I really I hope we'll get Mushihimesama Futari in the future, I'd like to play the hell out of that one instead!

You can always just turn off the annotations using the CZcams control bar. Also, I like the really detailed annotations. Anyway, amazing run, can't wait to see the 500m!
