5:55 Exabyte was a computer company in the 80s and 90s that made tape drives. They were bought by Tandberg in 2006.
Yup! I used to have a couple of Exabyte data tapes in my desk drawer for a long time. =:o} Physically they were just like DAT tapes, but they had to be certified capable of handling the higher data density Exabyte were using.
The two I had were test data for developing a tape duplication program for our Pr1me machines. In the end a commercial copy program was released before mine was done (curse your undocumented non-standard usage of certain fields in what were *supposed* to be standard header blocks, Pr1me!!!), so we cut our losses and bought it.)

You can tell a certain channel is your favorite on CZcams when you start watching videos in a *completely* different category and two to three videos later CZcams's algorithm brings you back to back videos from the same channel for the next 8+ hours.
1:56:33
Here's a free tip from someone who took a year-long course on networking.
The trick to having your RJ45 or phone connectors work on the first go (aside from getting the order right) is to peel away some of the plastic to expose a few millimetres of bare copper on the ends of the cables before inserting them in their slots and crimping down.
A lot of times the hard plastic lining stretches but doesn't puncture under the inner blade of the pin getting crimped into place, so it completely misses or gives you uneven resistance across the pins.
I pause to say it.. but… these classic “build” videos with him …are still my favorite. I will watch them, forever.
idk why but when Linus isn't as energetic watching this pace of stream/video at night it's calming and feels nostalgic
I totally agree man. I put on Linus live stream vids when I'm workin' on stuff some times.

Okay, watching this through again, I now understand something about my own PC. I learned recently that somehow I have every fan in my PC set to exhaust from when I built it, and could not fathom why I did it that way. I have that same AIO, and wanted to have it intaking air, but I believe with how the fans are built, you can only have them pushing air into the radiator. I probably realized partway through building that they could only go the one way and forgot to flip the other fans to intake.
Thank you for this video, I bought the same motherboard a few weeks ago and looking for components to continue my built. You answered a lot of questions that I had. Thank you very much.
Linus glad to see you are feeling better and back doing what you like.Been watching you from the beginning and always enjoy it.Thanks so much Deb👌💯✌
I have a prototype in my hand and am floored at how cool it is. So excited!
These live streams feel like christmas time at an office. No one's in and people are just around chatting shit.
I literally installed the 360 version of the Aorus cooler 2 days ago and I had the same struggle trying to figure out why I needed two different pieces of software for my AIO
I mean you also need mystic light and Afterburner for a MSI graphics card. Its just that they split performance and rgb stuff in general. Turning the AiO should be possible in both tho but i guess thats just how they programmed it
Linus usually: Is done with the build after like an hour
Linus this stream: Is just installing the CPU cooler 50 minutes into the build
Aww my old C200G. I loved that case but it's a shame that not many others did. Solid case and looked quite nice for a basic sort of system (built my Mum a nice lil PC in that case and she still loves it). You know you did a good job building a PC when even your Mum or Dad isn't constantly going "this thing doesn't work" or "it's saying this and this what do I do?". Didn't hear a complaint or anything like that for nearly 3 years. Still, the underrated C200G case rocks.
