I hate when people treat dogs better than humans. Literally let them bite their children and then "forgive" the dog and blame the child. Gross.
That’s what is wrong with the world back in the day a dog bites and child and that was it. Now I understand dog bites can be situational sure and I can be more evolved in that matter. However the fact that animals are mauling innocent toddlers and toddlers are getting blamed and animals are getting forgiven because of there lack of intelligence is absurd.
It brings me great relief to see all the sane people in the comments.

Many of these people who do this ARE NOT parent material. Think about it. You have to sacrifice your time, money, energy etc to raise another human being. This takes maturity. These people might well educated etc, but their is am element of responsibility they DO NOT have. Their not deranged, no; they have the right NOT to have children. The problem lies in their treating or viewing animals as humans. Animals are not humans. They can't think, reason etc. Animals don't know the day it is or time it is. There behavior is instinctive. Yes they can love, but it's basic love. They can't plan for the future etc.
There is another issue that exist also: Young children are like aged parents. They need a lot of help. When your parents get old, YOU WILL have to help them: financially, physically, your time etc. You don't get out of the equation if you choose NOT TO have children. That's your choice. You will have though have accountability as you take care of your parents.

Dog owners are a mixed bag. The breeds they choose is also very telling. I don't understand why people keep adopting hunting/working/herding/sport fighting dogs like their purposefully bred genetics have no bearing on the animal's behavior. Then coop them up in apartments in the city. Like, what're you doing?? Dogs initially served a meaningful purpose, as all domesticated animals did, and were not treated like extensions of the family. They slept outside, they had jobs, and had balance and structure to their lives. And they thrived just fine with this arrangement. This was perfectly natural and acceptable for thousands of years, then all of a sudden people started acting like hysterical lunatics with these animals. It is super weird and I feel like I can't ever really express how unnaturally people are treating these animals without getting my head ripped off. And I'm not saying dogs can't be pampered companions, but like at least choose a small low energy companion breed and not shove an untrained German Shepard in a New York apartment.
They also buy mutated malformed breeds with 0 quality of life and get angry when you point out how cruel breeding them is and that if they loved their dog they wouldn't contribute to the demand for malformed animals. Seriously telling about the owners phycology when they buy pugs, bulldogs, Boston terriers and other malformed dogs..even dachshunds are unhealthy because their backs have problems and are painful. They claim to love these animals yet have no issue prioritizing appearance over health.

OMG... I love the Comments on this page. I have been feeling like an outsider. I believe their is a hierarchy to life, and Humans are at the top, because I AM a human. What makes a dog more special than a chicken or cow? We kill 24 million chickens a day. If 24 dogs were killed to eat in the US, there would be an uproar. I, personally, think of all those clothes and accessories that humans put on their dogs not only as something ridiculous but also as a torture (unless it’s a really cold winter and u own a tiny hairless pup that easily freezes). When my cavachon was just a puppy I did dress him up once (rain jacket) , of course, he looked cute funny and adorable in that outfit but also he looked miserable . I took it off him and never made my dog suffer for no good reason again. His needs and comfort go before my human funny ideas .

I'm one of those people who think that treating their dogs like children is not what is best for dogs. That idea of for instance letting a herding dog have the experience of herding was a decent idea because it is natural. Let the dog be a dog. You can still love him even if he doesn't wear clothes and then decides to lick his butt. Plus that is why not to let him kiss you directly on the lips. A cheek will do.

The truth about dog lovers is that they are people who have an extreme obsession to dogs to the point that it is abnormal. It changes the mentality that the dog lovers attach themselves to dogs to the point when some one attacks a dog they feel personally attacked. They love dogs for their looks and cuteness. There are 2 types of dog lovers.
1. Normal people who admire these beings
2. Extreme dog lovers who obsess over the beings and have a blinding mentality that does not allow them to see past their love for dogs

If I had a dog of my own, I would love and care for him, but I would treat him LIKE A DOG and not a person. Let him run around/ roll around, play fetch with him, bathe him when he or her needs it, if they're cold and shivering, I'll put a blanket on them. But I wouldn't put stupid outfits on them, give them pedicures (unless it's really bad), or table feed them unless it's for a type of treat.
