"I actually prefer fliptop paints."
God damn it, his genius has obviously driven him mad. Soon the models will only make sense if you look at them in a mirror :p
Unbelievable, you paint in such a unique way. It will always blow my mind how you make this look so simple. Thanks for the content Richard
Heres hoping Richard will do a Imperial Guard video.
There's a good chance I will :D
Here, here! Also...thank you so much Richard once again for all of these videos.
Looks stunningly good. I need to use even thinner paints than I currently do by the look of it!
Can’t wait for this. The colour looks similar to what I’ve been gunning for on my alpha legion
lol holy crap. Those blending skills are amazing. going to try this. Thank you
Happy Robot Face ......there goes me taking those models seriously.
Honestly amazing, you have the stippling brush control method down to a t. I'm practicing my first NMM gold and trying to see can I use it. Your work is amazing Richard
Awesome Richard, look forward to seeing you at Golden Demon 23
I'd love to see this style in the Orange colour scheme for Votann too.
I immediately love the chosen colours! Thinking it would be a great look for my Kharadron Overlords too.
Great video as always Richard!
Excellent tutorial! thank you sir ❤
Masterpiece. Great job.
Thanks for sharing amazing job
59:48 is a very interesting ratio. 🤣
Everyone transfering paints from flip top pots into dropper pots and the absolute madman is doing the complete opposite 20:20
I just want to know where the bloke gottem from
This might sound like bs but I really needed this video to help me start painting again it’s the style I was hoping to use on this model I’m working on and I knew I’d seen it used before but when searching recently I couldn’t find the right example and this was perfect for me ty
Great work! Cheers
Was about to ask what that special bottle of Vallejo Model Color Ice Yellow was. Great to hear you reasoning about why you like them more. They are not for me though, but to each their own.
Hi Richard, I love your style. Any plans on doing a grim dark Space Wolves model?
Love everything you do with this videos. However as with most you don't show painting the back of the model... just wondered how the light works back there. Chees
Im making popcorns now
amazing
Hey Richard. Another great video thanks. Just out of interest, in your last video (golden demon thoughts) you said that one of your favourite models didn't even place and you thought that it would win/do well in its category. I'm just curious which one it was? (i was at demon myself) thanks.
58:00 Warpstone Gow plus Yriel Yellow looks very much like Goblin Green
I’m definitely going to take this approach with mine, it’s a new style of painting that I’ve not done but it’s awesome! I’ll be going orange though :) if you see this, would you recommend a brown undercoat for orange?
Hello Richard, first off, awesome work! Secondly, any tips on the brush movement? It seems you just touch the mini with the point of the brush, in a stippling kind of motion, is that correct? Thanks!
Love your work, you make it look too easy. But the "climbing thingy" is a carabiner.
Was about to mention that, but checked if anyone said it already and there you go. Wandering how much overlap there is between the hobby community and the climbing community 🤔
So it's a long shot that you'll see this comment or reply to it, but I was hoping you could make a short video explaining the principles of painting like this. It seems like you're layering, glazing and stippling but, probably because of my inexperience, I'm not quite able to follow what you're doing.
wooooowww
hey Richard, do you think this technique works on Necrons using Vallejo true metal colours?
Are you dipping your brush into water after you take some paint with it?
I’m about to start a Trans-Hyperian / orange colour scheme using your stippling technique, was wondering if I should use a brown-orange as the basecoat (over the black) to avoid the same kind of reaction as yellow go greenish? Since I’m colour blind (not the strongest kind but enough to miss strange mixes of colour in my main colour)
Brown can be a tricky color, as it can often be a mix of Colors. Especially with hobby paints like from GW they don't tell you if it's a mix, so potentially containing pigments that pull your orange into a direction you don't want to. A reddish brown is a good bet, though. I'd recommend trying out your colors on a base or other piece of plastic. Just do the progression you want to do on your model on it and then maybe ask a friend if it looks good?
Hi Richard ! Excuse me but I was wandering what pencils do you use please ? I'm searching for very good quality for small and very small details please ! Thanks in advance for this and for your videos ! Cheers :)
By Pencils, do you mean paint brushes? I use Artis Opus brushes, my favourite is size 00 but I also like size 1 and 2
@@demonrich Yeah sorry my english is not perfect ! Thanks a lot I will check that, so cool :)
