- In this video I unbox, give you my first impression, and review the Milwaukee M18 Fuel Two Gallon Compact Quiet Air Compressor part number. 2840-20.

I bought this tool to put on my mobile shop cart so I have something portable to fill up flat tires and have a convenient source of compressed air.
I install a fully charged battery air up flat tires and try my 1/2 pneumatic impact wrench on 3/4 ton van lug nuts. Then I put it to the test filling up forklift tires rated at 100 psi.
Is it a must have for mobile mechanics? How much work will it do with a fully charged 8 amp hour battery? Watch and find out!

I have one and I really like it. I keep it on hand incase I have a low tire or something or to even blow out filters or the garage floor. You just have to understand it’s limits and it can be very useful
Thanks for the comment. I've used it a couple weeks now and am very happy with it. Great point understanding is limits. Basically knowing to use the right tool for the right job.
$350 bare tool, $600 full kit with an 8amp hour battery. I think it’s a great deal! I just paid $200 for an 8amp hour battery and I bought a 3/4 gun at the same time for $320. I think that compressor would be great to have on a road trip. I always take my small 12v compressor, 1/2” Milwaukee, lugnut socket set and small floor jack on every road trip. That 12v compressor is always questionable because it plugs into the cigarette lighter socket. The Milwaukee compressor eliminates that issue. I like it. A lot! Thanks for the review!
Kits are definitely the way to go. Except you end up with more Chargers than you know what to do with. Lol
How do you like the 3/4 gun?
@@shanersmechaniclife3164 I love it!!! I have the 9” long 33mm socket from Napa in both 3/4 and 1” drive and that’s what I use for lugnuts. My first 1” air gun was a snub nose and I couldn’t believe the torque loss with a 6” extension and socket! I couldn’t get some lugnuts loose. After I got the long 1 piece socket I didn’t have that problem. The 3/4” Milwaukee with the long socket hasn’t let me down yet

@@shanersmechaniclife3164 grey pneumatics number is 3433mdl. It’s being difficult to look up in Napa’s website. Just type in 3/4 drive long 33mm impact socket and there were several companies with a big spread in prices. Like $70-$120. I think I paid around $80 for mine
I'd be keen to see a comparison between this and the m18 inflator if you happen to pick that up!

Has one used one with a air nozzle/ blower wand? I've thought about a small air compressor to use for blowing off the junk on fan blades in blower wheels in HVAC

We have one of the ryobi cordless tire inflators. Have pumped up 37 inch tires on a duramax to 65 countless times without issue. Not bad for 24$ tool only.
Why does the engine make matter on tire inflation?
How's has it held up HD got a deal right with one free 5.0 battery and don't know if to get it or not

Only problem with this is it won't work with the knockoff batteries.there is a feedback circuit in it the batteries don't have and it won't even start.
Just like that with the ac/usb m18 top up
the knockoff batteries, in my experience, usually only have 50%-75% of the charge life as Milwaukee batts. Plus you are adding risk of fire charging and storing them, lithium batteries can be volatile when electronics go haywire. I have a few knockoffs that I keep on a steel surface in case they decide to blow and I never leave any batts charging unattended for more than an hour.
Good to know. I don't use the knock off batteries. I don't trust them. You get what you pay for in my opinion.
Would it struggle filling up a 120psi trailer tire ?
Im wondering the same thing
If it takes 7.5 minutes to fill a forklift tire to 100psi then it would probably take easily 15mins if not much more to fill a truck/trailer tire to 120psi.
In other words yeah buddy, its a 1.2cfm compressor; gutless for that sort of thing.
Will it be able to run a paint gun?
I've never tried a spray gun. For short bursts probably but I don't know if it will keep up. Some sprayers need a lot of air. If you try it let me know. Your not the first one to ask.
Anyone know if this will air up my 10 ply truck tires to 80 psi?
It'll do it. Just make sure you have a decent sized battery. What size tires? I'll check with mine to make sure.
