- UCLA commit Lonzo Ball put on a show at the City of Palms Classic. Here are his highlights from the championship game last night between Chino Hills (CA) and The Patrick School (NJ). He had 20 points, 11 assists, 8 rebounds. Chino Hills won 66-60 in overtime. The Patrick School was coached by Mike Rice. This was his 1st time coaching since being fired from Rutgers in 2013.

LONG STORY:
This summer (June 2017) I was bored and had nothing else to do so I went and visited my grandma. While I was there she suggested I worked at the country club no too far from her house. At first I was skeptical and didn't think I was going to like it. It turns out she didn't give me much of a choice and I went to go wash golf carts that day. The man there, probably mid 70s, was a big sports fan. We started talking about college basketball and the upcoming draft. Then he brought up something called the City of Palms High School tournament. I didn't know what it was, but he talked about all the players that played at it such as Jayson Tatum, John Wall, the Ball brothers, and many more. I was interested and he said he would try to give me some more information about it. Two weeks later, I went to my grandmas house again and she gave me two magazines about the tournament. He wasn't lying about all of the current NBA stars and future stars that played in it. As soon as I saw the title, I thought about that day and how much fun I had washing golf carts with him talking about sports. One day I hope to go and see the tournament myself.
