I think in this case it wont be, since they've been former idols before them but disbanded and regroup, so still a senior. Just like how soloist do a group then break, or how group then disband and their is a soloist or transfer to toher group

i think viviz call the groups older than them as sunbae but they are the sunbae of the artists debuted late than them. idk correct me tho. like sinb calls them itzy subae, but yeji will call sinb as sinb sunbae

I am so happy that Sinb, Umji and Eunha debut together. They still indeed Gfriend members, as we can see for Yuju she's gonna debut solo, Yerin as an actress and Sowon as model. I am so happy that even they go on their own journey right now, they are still Gfriend. ❤️

This made me laugh way more than it should have.
I can guarantee that most of the 4th gen girl groups they will bump into on the music shows are going to call them sunbaenim regardless of the technicality of their new group's debut date. I'd be disappointed in any group that didn't. They have earned their industry seniority. Likewise, I would be disappointed in any group that debuted in recent years that got upset if they weren't called sunbaenim by them.
I really wish someday, even if they are going as Viviz, the OT-6 will reunite in a stage again, and perform one of their classic when they were still GFriend.
It felt surreal to think of what happened few months ago, but I'm happy regardless that these girls are doing fine and still stay connected even when they are not living together anymore.
Hoping the best for Viviz, and the rest of the GFriend members!
It would be better if you didn't put ex in front of Gfriend. Even the member still refer themselves as Gfriend.

I was heartbroken when GFRIEND disbanded because Apple and Mago are two of my fav k-pop songs *ever* but I’m glad some of our girls are re-debuting, together!
Viviz:
De facto leader: Sowon
De jure leader: Everyone.
I still have goosebumps over that Umji TMI/spoiler line " we kept the same manager (I guess Miri manager they had with gfriend) and same car. Then she immediately added "we will resume as a group" and yes it sounded like OT6 to me.
But for that WE NEED THE GFRIEND TRADEMARK!! So lets keep on making noises buddies. Thats the last step and then nightmare will be over for good.

I doubt they'd even want to use the Gfriend name, except I suppose for higher sales, though I couldn't see the name ever being transferred anyway.
They'll presumably want to be able to try new things with their music, rather than be restricted by expectations from their previous group.
Similarly, being a smaller group will surely give them more opportunity, much like the other performers doing new things individually.

Regardless of them coming back as OT6, they still deserve to get it because it is their blood sweat and tears for the past 6 years.
Viviz is the name of the subunit which will be the main group as you said - but if for exceptional OT6 projects (a song, a variety show...) they must be able to use Gfriend. Plus buddy already were used to change of concept (Apple, mago) so we wouldnt mind any concept even under Gfriend name - just seeing the 6 of them would be enough trust me.
So lets keep on claiming for justice to be done, buddy - thanks.

I was unaware of this trio up until I saw a video titled "groups that became famous before debuting". It had kep1er, ive etc. And this new group called viviz. I was just about to research them when something caught my attention, "Did I just see SinB?" I was very shocked when I learned that it was indeed GFriend.
I was so bummed when GFriend disbanded, so happy at least 3 of them got to form a group. Will definitely be supporting them!
The music just makes me think how my Nintendogs are doing after 13 years LOL

The thought of these queens with over 6 years of industry experience under their belts now being technically "rookies" again is cosmically funny.
The other three girls btw. have all signed up with different companies and are pursuing solo careers right now. Sowon appears to be focusing on acting under IOK company, Yerin signed with Sublime Artist agency and Yuju with Konnect Entertainment. Yuju actually has her own youtube channel now, please consider subscribing there if you want to support her. ❤️
Happy to have some of the girls back still missing the rest but will continue to support them in solo projects

So pretty much Viviz came out of their name but they have to come up with a explanation too. Just like how Buddy was defined for some meaning and not that whole fanbase is Buddyzoned
Just to remind everybuddy that it should be "Vivid Dayz", as daze refers to being disorientated. DayZ is just a play on days. Well maybe sometimes they're "Vivid Daze", let's not confuse Eunha with Yuju.
Their name could also be interpreted as the number Sixty Six Thousand (66,000), since VI is the Roman numeral for six (6), and Z (Ji) or G usually stands for a grand (1,000). But as a Buddy I would have settled for 6.

Source Music sold Gfriend out to HYBE.
Since HYBE has no girl groups and starting one is much harder than just acquiring an already well known one.
The fact that their decision to leave seemed so abrupt can be pretty telling, unless it was in their contract that they couldn’t even talk about leaving or hint at it until after.
People also say they didn’t finish their contract but if that one year of training before actual debut was part of the contract then ig they did fulfill the time.
This only came to my mind after watching Imitation (Atiny wya) and a character, although a soloist, was sold out by her company to a bigger one.
However, no matter the reason I’m glad the girls are still thriving and I’m happy to see them again since leaving HYBE and Source Music.
