"The only carbs I know about are bread" gotta keep those dad jokes coming Evan! Lol
Future T-shirt 🤣
That is the cutest damn baby I have ever seen
genuinely, don't think i've ever seen a cuter one. my nephew comes close but that kid is just gorgeous
Thank you. I been working on my glutes lately
Love Victoria her smile and personality is so contagious.
and how she calls him out for not knowing bout the gas-tank 😂 so funny to see her so excited
This was extremely wholesome. Looking forward to more! And the munchkin appearances.🙂 -Edgar
God your daughter is so adorable. I can see both of you in her cute little face. Awesome content though my guy. This is my dream classic car.
If you end up swapping the motor out in that Mustang- since it’s a inline 6- if you wanna put a small block V8 in it (260/289/302/351W) , you actually should change out more than just the motor. 6 cylinder cars have 4 lug wheels whereas the v8 cars have 5. The front springs and perches and spindles etc etc and other suspension stuff like that also needs to be changed over as well. It’s kinda a lot of work to do ‘correctly’ but I imagine worth it. Unfortunately with these early Mustangs you are sort of limited to motor choices (without having to heavily modify the engine compartments) because the engine compartments are much smaller on these cars than that of a 67-73. Would love to be able to go over a bunch of things about Victorias car… I’m a bit of a Mustang aficionado (refer to my profile pic lol)
Why would you want to swap out the axles, etc. for the 5 lug wheel assembly?
Assuming the small v8 weighs more than the i6 I can understand needing to swap out the suspension, but a good modern suspension defo should fit on the rest of the stock parts no?
@@Daniel-dj7fh good question. Yes the new weight of the motor will definitely make the front end sag. 6 cylinder cars generally don’t have stout components because they don’t have a ton of power. The stock 8” rear end (if that’s what it has) would definitely work for a swap. But the drive shaft will be different. Tail shaft on the transmission is different. Basically if you don’t beef up the rest of the car, sure- it’ll work. For a little bit. But it will handle like garbage due to the new sprung weight. And having ‘weaker’ 6 cylinder springs- it will end up being not very enjoyable to drive. They already drive like boats with stock suspension. You can realistically get an entire rack a pinion set up out of Mustang II that would replace the front end suspension. This is a favorite among the early cars. Also gives more room for activity’s. There is a lot more that ‘should’ be done to swap in a V8 but again- it’s all discretionary. I’m not saying that the swap is not achievable, it just would be a shame and a waste of time to not do it correctly while you are already in there. You can literally beef these cars up to handle like a brand new mustang. But it’s all in what Victoria/Evan want to do.
Also to add- I had a buddy do a 289 swap on his 66 Fairlane. And ONLY changed the motor out. As you can guess- he ended up having to tear most of it apart and ‘beef’ it up. This particular car that Victoria has, already seems pretty worn out. Lot of rust issues which also doesn’t help with structural integrity. There’s just so much more that goes into these cars than people know. I’ve restored many many older Mustangs. So I’ve seen it all. And rust is definitely the number one issue with any build. Just saying I personally wouldn’t put a swap motor in a car with most likely worn, original suspension.
Mustang brother
Would an sn95 4.6 fit in this chassis nicely?
Seeing both of you working on your cars is honestly life goals😍
Duuuuuude, that grille is amazing! It was awesome having Victoria in the video as much as she was. This family always brings a smile to my face.
Gabriella is so darn cute. She's always happy 😊. I'm sure you've had your tough times with her but you both are clearly doing a great job with her. Being a new parent is hard. I can tell you are both amazing parents.
Victoria working on the car with baby girl in her play pen 😍🥰 Adorable scene.
Seeing this all reminds of a couple years ago when my grandfather and I did a full restomod on a 65 before he passed. Full disc wilwoods and power steering conversion with a built Ford racing engine. Brings back a lot of memories from the what it was to where it is today 🥲
hope you still have that thing :')
@@Daniel-dj7fh I will never let it go 😁
crazy how special rebuilt cars can mean more than newer cars
@@blaqfire4960 they truly will be cherished forever. Just as much as the memories that live on with it
The energy that your family creates is so inspiring, hope to find this one day!
I love the addition of the classic car, cant wait to see the progress! I would look in to "z bar" adjustment for the clutch, since they aren't self adjusting.
So dope to see her in her dream car
You can do fender flares or over fenders but the smarter route to take on an American classic is mini tubs . Rather than going outward you install the deeper wheel tubs to fit a much wider wheel and tire package inward . So if you 4 link the rear with a 9 inch and the mini tubs you could fit a 305 in the rear no problem .
The way victoria speaks about the mustang with such excitement has my heart
Love watching you two work on this car together!! My dad just got his dream '66 mustang and I can't wait to see what he does with it
Now you need a Datsun 240 Z to match. Perfect his & her classic pair. American + JDM combo 💯
I love seeing Victoria working on the car!y’all are goals
Nothing makes me happier than seeing a family thoroughly enjoying themselves, being happy and doing what they love together. So happy for y’all, keep up the work
Victoria putting in work 😤👍🏾. Can't wait to see it finished
Happy to see all three of you so happy !
It is nice to see a wife into cars. That is rare and to see her pure excitement installing the parts. That brought tears to my eyes. Loved her lesson of the day. Study each other. Simple and to the point. Very important. Keep up the build. Looking forward to seeing more
So cool seeing Victoria get excited about her car lol
Awesome video so pumped to see how the mustang turns out. I'm a jdm guy but I like my old school American muscle too. Victoria great work so far Evan you the man getting her dream car to see it all unfold is great🙌🏾🙌🏾✊🏾✊🏾💪🏾💪🏾. Oh I wasn't crying when you surprised her there was alot of dust in the air.
Instead of getting a new carburetor unless you want a performance one. For the problem you are having with stalling, probably a carb issue, you can adjust it until its right; If you aren't good with carb adjustment call up a friend of someone who does.
Supporting this project 👌👍
Turn all air and fuel mixer screw all fully in and then screw back out about three turns and than move the dizzy slowly till sounds perfect
The Barra+T56 would be awesome in this car imo! Also, I'd look into a full chassis like the one from Scott's Hotrods. Their built to order to what you want with the car.
Victoria congratulations on your Mustang the lower part below the bumper it’s called the Front valance on your grill you’re missing the centerpiece on the trim molding that goes on the lower part of the grill and I would suggest getting the rear valance that has the cutaways for the exhaust if you’re going to run to GT style lower valance for the front I have a 69 GT coupe Mustang that it was my first car when I was 15 and I still on it and now I’m 60 years old it’s refreshing to see younger generation getting into the true original classic cars ❤️🔥👍🏽🤙🏽😊
youre awesome man keep on livin bro
Most of the gad tanks are in the back in old cars. I have a 68' Chevy Chevelle. The gas cap is underneath the license plate. So cool lol. Also, most 1st gen mustangs have a 16-gallon tank. Love the car!!
Alot of 50's and 60's cars had the gas fillers under a taillight or hidden somewhere they weren't easy to find most of the time!
CJ pony parts should have a disc brake conversation kit available, and it should convert the car over to a 5 lug 5x114.3 bolt pattern
That kit is meh the brake rotors are poor quality and the pads are mediocre
Love that you both are actively working on the car. I see so many youtubers buying their significant other a car and then modifying it themselves without involving their significant other, which is cool and they may know more about cars etc but it is pretty dope that you included her in the process.
Love the random stuff you got, definitely makes the mustang pop abit more. You guys rock keep on keeping on
looking at your two is just so amazing how strong y’all’s bond it and seeing how much y’all look after each other just everything about y’all makes me so jealous i love the video much love and support
Restomod is definitely the way to go, can’t wait to see what you guys do with it
What shes trying to say. Is she will make it pretty. And Evan will make it fast. Teamwork makes the dream work.
I just think its awesome that her dad can sit in the car with her n just bond cuz 1 day it will only be memories enjoy that family time
I love everything about this video, so excited to see this build and love that Victoria is doing some of the work on it!
Congratulations! My 65 Fastback is almost done. Just to let you know, the rocker molding goes along the base of the sides of the car below the doors and between both of the wheel wells. Good luck and have fun!
I love how happy it makes her 🥲.. I love cars
I’m loving this mustang build! Keep up the good work you two.
Yes more classic car content woo!! As for the gas tank, my 66 Marlin has the tank under the trunk as well, but the filler neck is on the driver's side, like a modern car. I am also dealing with idle issues with my AMC, I have been tuning the carb to get it to a happy point with the Idle, Gas and air adjustment screws, but I love that I can tune it with a flathead!!
I think it would be cool to see if you could get a hook up with Classic Industries, they may have the classic mustang parts you want to give the ole pony some of the upgrades you mentioned!!
Ironically I am younger than both of you and enjoy classic cars a little more than any other car category ;) But I have loved and enjoyed your content since I subbed back in 2016
The Mair Ol Blue kit is awesome looking tbh. Loved this and cant wait for more.
Mate your a lucky man to have an amazing wife by your side. Great to see you get her, her dream car and involve her in your channel. Enjoying the change of content. I love JDM but also love classic's. Great work 👍🏾
Ev if you do a swap, go something not traditional, but tasteful. Keep it close to its roots, maybe a ford barra or a ford 5.4 4v gt500 engine (from the navigator)
Great one Shanks Family.
This thing is going to be awesome quick.
So cool to see the wife on the channel more too, loving the Five Three Merch also!
Man I love the mustang so much! Classic cars are the best! Gets me excited to work on my 1967 Jeep CJ5A! Love the videos!
these make great restomods.. keep up the good work, shes coming along nicely
best finish of yours video ever!! let the woman speak more from shes heart .
God I love Victoria. Classic car girl too.
I got me a 66' chevelle malibu was my dad's sat for almost 30 years and I rebuilt it.
I honestly like driving it more then my 500whp 335i.
Seeing Victoria so happy with her build is awesome
I get so excited watching this build! I’m almost done fully restoring my 66 that started out the same way with the 6 cylinder drivetrain and I swapped full v8 drivetrain. If you’re wanting to modernize the suspension I’d definitely go with a Mustang II front suspension kit, they can come with coilovers and disc brakes as a part of the kit and they also get rid of the huge shock towers in the engine bay so you can fit any engine you want with plenty of room to work around it. You mentioned Maier Racing, they are a wonderful wonderful company I would definitely recommend for suspension parts. 3 point seatbelts are also super easy to install, the car actually has a spot for them to mount on the top. Can’t wait to see more on this build, I’ve been subscribed since you were at about 80k and you finally got something I know every nut and bolt on. Love your channel man
Nice Mustang Victoria! I love seeing y’all work on it
that little girl is so cute! AND happy!
What a beautiful family you have Evan! You 3 are awesome! 🙂
One of my favorite videos so far. You two have a beautiful and well behaved baby!
Excited to paint this car!! Done a few
Love the classic car content, she has the right idea
I feel what Victoria said about the oil and metal on a molecular level. I just bought back the same pick up I had for my first vehicle. 1980 f100 stepside and I can smell what she means. Theres nothing better
It’s awesome to see Victoria happy about her car
dude seeing you work with cars is so motivating
What a good video and well done to you girl. Also I love the front grill and can't wait to see this pony ripping up the street. It's so sweet looking already 😍
Small block v8 how a classic should be!! 🤙🏼
Barra + T56 swap, yes please! Barras are so sick! Wish we got them (and the new-gen Falcons that they came in) in the US. One of the few cool things about Australia is the exclusive Ford cars, lol.
You have a beautiful family. You are blessed to have them. Awesome Mustang, sounds great.
Honestly the 8.8 rear end from the 05-09 Mustang GT would be the best rear end to use. It's a 3 link suspension, one upper control arm, and two trailing arms. As far as the front suspension goes, hit up BMR or CorteX Racing. If you'll be doing a powertrain and drivetrain swap, the 4.6 3-valve would be best to "modernize" the car's power since the 05-09 Mustang GT was a retrofuturistic design of the 1965-1969 Mustangs.
Fully restored classic cars look really good, better than fully built JDM cars in my opinion can't wait for the restobuild!
Have you heard about Jp Performance's e30 on f80 m4 resto build?
With all the talk of making the car modern and stuff I think you guys should explore the options of chassis that come with coilovers, four link, disk brakes etc. This also give you the opportunity to easily put a more modern engine in such as a newer 5.0 if you plan to keep a traditional V8.
Evan , your wife is awesome! Great personality, and great taste in cars. Lucky guy! Looking forward to this restoration.
This is the most beuatifull car of all !!! And that color ...
this is goals
This thing is awesome!
I recommend junkyard digs and vice grip garage, very informative and entertaining when it come to the older variety
best thing to do with these old rigs is if its idling rough like that is to mess with the mixture screws on the carb and turn the distributor until it gets smooth. Timing could either be off or its running rich
Great grille pick by Ms Shanks 10/10
mustang has always been my dream car. doesnt matter what others say on mustangs like crowd killer and stuff.
Family goals
Love old muscle cars. Personally if I had a choice between muscle, import or exotic. I'd choose muscle every time. Just how mean they look, the sound and just how amazing it is. A car from the 60's still running today. They're a slice of history. It's amazing, the grill alone takes like 10 years off the car. Can't wait to follow this journey.
Good video as always!
How do you do it. Man you have made it for yourself. 👏👏 props to you. Love the content, keep it going.
I love when Victoria takes over it’s different and really really cool
Thanks to you and Victoria, you helped me get my girlfriend into cars. She actually enjoys watching you and Victoria just be yourselves and working on cars. This video series is def inspiring me to get her dream car for an anniversary some day. I, like you, are a JDM fanboy and she is too but her dream car is a 2002 WS6 Fire bird. Hopefully one day I can make that dream come true like you did for Victoria. Much love man.
Love the his and hers project
First this one of my favorite shells, second I’m jealous and third for the fenders check with ulterior there’s a guy that use there’s fender on the same car and looks amazing.
I love my old crap and I think your on the right track ....can I add one thing before you start ....aircon ...and maybe not a under dash unit a behind dash integrated system you will definitely be able to do it and she will actually love the car ...low and slow with good air ....so excited for both of you
Love This tipe of video it was amazing keep it up. Hi from spain
LED HEADLIGHTS AND SEQUENTIAL LED TAIL LIGHTS..... YES PLEASE
It's expensive as hell but the best and easiest way to modernize the chassis (ie. suspension, brakes, swaps, etc.) is to go with a roadstershop shop or similar frame swap. You can achieve alot on older car geometry but to get the most out of them, you need a custom frame. It's an option but definitely not cheap in any way.
YESSS MORE OF THE MUSTANG!!!!!
Love your vids
Super excited to see this one hopefully I’ll get motivated to get mine done! You should consider ridetech 4 link rear end with their coilovers and swapping the rear diff possibly to an 8.8? Out of an explorer or something will get you disc brakes and 31 spline axles maybe even 4:10 gears? I know maier has some pretty cool suspension stuff to. Man I’m already getting excited brb gonna go look at mine lol
I'm just gonna say one thing and that is: RB POWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cool, when added, it seems like little things, but the view is completely different
Very awesome!
If you want suspension kits for this Era I would point you to Detroit Speed. They are the leaders for handling mods for this Era of mustang. For everything else, OEM and aftermarket interior and exterior go to CJ Pony Parts
Evan you did an awesome job on the paint correction on Victoria's Mustang.
Bro, I’ve been watching your vids for quite some time now and I just realized that I’m not subscribed yet. Definitely subbed now!
The end is the relationship advice we all need for a happy and healthy relationship and many people take things like that for granted
Maier racing will have all the parts your looking for to make it more modern. Wide body fenders for wider wheels, front and rear suspension parts. Also I think Hotchkiss makes a full spension for that also the there is a kit available for the front called the Shelby drop witch will lower the car in the front. You can see several mustangs here on CZcams that can show you all these items to get an idea of what you want.
for brakes, hit up the boys at motion raceworks, they own TBM Brakes
